Naira slept after Kartik left , she didn't have energy left to go again and confront him , she was overwhelmed with her thoughts.

She woke up in the morning and felt the energy rushing in her , she went and looked in the mirror and saw that the wounds have healed much , only some scars are there , after that she became ready for the day. She went downstairs and saw that everyone was rushing here and there and the hall was being beautifully decorated. Suddenly someone came and poked her and Naira jumped

N- What...you??

K- Why are you surprised to see me??

Kartik raised his one eyebrow

N- No nothing...

Naira tried to avoid the talk with him

K- I know you want to talk about last night and it's true I love you Naira since the day I saw you but I know you don't have same feelings for me and it's ok.

Kartik shrugged his shoulders

N- That's very sweet of you to understand my feelings , but why can't I feel this soulmate bond??

K- Well you're a human so you will feel it but it will take some time

Naira just nodded

N- At least we can be friends??

Kartik nodded

N- What are these preparations for??

K- For you darling...

Naira felt current running through her body when she heard Kartik saying 'darling' , this made her feel special.

N- Umm...and why?? Can I know

Just then Kartik's mom came

S- Good Morning  Naira!! You're fine now.. I'm so relieved

Naira smiled looking at her , her presence is like a mother to Naira

S- Kartik go your dad is calling you

Kartik groaned.

K(whispering)- Ruined my moment dad!!..uurrrgghh

But both Swarna and Naira heard him and they both giggled

K- Don't try to do anything with my soulmate

Swarna just smiled

N- so what's this about

S- It's a royal ball held for the future King and Queen , when the heir finds his soulmate

N- Ohhh...so what we'll do in this

S- Nothing...just like a typical ball...all the members from the council and other Vampires will be present to witness it and then...

Swarna tensed.

N- What happened?

S- Nothing it's just , according to the tradition this will be your last ceremony as a human , after this ceremony you should be changed to a Vampire

Naira felt her heart sank

N- Will Kartik...?

S- This is between you two .

Naira ran to his room and barged in ,  he was sitting on a couch and reading some files

K- What happened Naira?

N- You didn't told me!!!!

K- What I...oh so you got to know

N- YES!! AND I WILL NOT LET YOU CHANGE ME!!

K- Calm down Naira

N- SHUT UP , I WAS STARTING TO TRUST YOU

Kartik in a second went towards her and hugged her tightly , and Naira started to cry

N- No....Ka..rtik...you... can't...change...me(hiccup)

K- Calm down Naira , I told you that I will never do that until you want me to , trust me!!

Naira took out her face from his grip and faced him

N- Sure?

K- Yes baby , I will never do that

Naira wiped her tears , just then Kartik picked her up in bridal style and went to sit on the couch , Kartik sat with Naira leaning on him and Kartik's arm around her neck.

N- All my life my parents never loved me , I've never been so close to anyone like you.

K- And I'm the luckiest person to be so close to you

Kartik faced her and kissed on her forehead.
