(Two days later)

Third person perspective

Right now the Mayor of New York City is being escorted to City Hall.

The Mayor is also being watched over by heroes as well as his armed escort.

Captain America watches over the convoy from a rooftop as it drives past.

Steve: I've got eyes on the convoy. Falcon, what's your position?

Sam: Vision and I are coming up on the convoy now, Cap.

He looks up to see Falcon and Vision fly in.

Just then Warmachine comes over the comms.

Rhodey: Okay, I have to ask...

Sam: Annnd, here we go.

Rhodey: What? I'm just asking. I mean are we the Mayor's protective detail, or are we the Avengers?

Elsewhere, Iron-Man and Black Widow are outside City Hall.

Natasha: Today we're the Mayor's protective detail.

The Avengers continue talking over the comms.

Steve: Nathaniel and Anya have things under control while we're doing this.

Rhodey: You mean the two youngest members of our team? You really feel comfortable with that, Cap?

Steve: I do. We can trust them.

Just then a new voice comes over the comms.

SM-06: Chill out, Rhodes. Spider-Woman and Iron-Lad are cool.

All their eyes widen.

Rhodey: What the hell?

Cap looks over to see the new Spider-Man swinging in.

He swings above the Mayor's convoy and keep an eye out.

SM-06: Sorry I'm late, everyone. Had to make sure I had enough web cartridges.

Spidey looks over to see Vision flying alongside him.

Vision: Young man, this is an Avenger-only frequency.

SM-06: Actually, this frequency is for the Mayor's protective detail. And as the head of Kingsley Enterprises security, I apply.

Meanwhile, Falcon is above the two and aims a missile at the new Spider-Man.

Sam: I have the shot.

Stark smirks.

Tony: I say take it.

Steve: Everyone, stay focused. And be on the look-out for anything suspicious.

SM-06: Yes, Captain.

SM-06's P.O.V

A few minutes later we make it to City Hall.

I drop down onto the Mayor's limo before dropping onto the ground.

I open the limo door for the Mayor.

SM-06: Here you go, sir.

Mayor: Thank you.

He gets out and goes up to the stage along with his guards.

Just then I hear Kingsley's voice.

Daniel: That's it, kid. Good job.

SM-06: Huh? Danny?

Daniel: I'm in your other ear, genius. And stop calling me Danny.

SM-06: Right. Sorry. Wait, can you see me too?

Daniel: I can. And you're doing a good job. Just keep doing what you're doing and by tomorrow the Mayor himself will be recognising you as the one true Spider-Man.

I smile.

SM-06: Got it.

I walk up to the stage and stand behind the Mayor as he gives his speech.

As I look around I see the other Avengers show up one-by-one.

I look out at the crowd and see Kara.

This is all giving me a really bad feeling.

SM-06: (Whispers) Something doesn't feel right.

Just then my spider sense goes off.

SM-06: Ah.

Daniel: Spider-Man, what's happening?

SM-06: My spider sense's going haywire. Something's about to happen.

A second later I hear screaming and people running.

Steve: We've got trouble, Avengers!

I look out into the crowd to see robotic androids attacking.

They have spider symbols on their chests too.

Daniel: Spider-Man, get to the Mayor now!

SM-06: Right.

I immediately run over to the Mayor and grab him.

SM-06: Hold on, sir.

I web zip out of there as the androids get to the stage.

I land down with him next to the limo.

SM-06: Get into your limo, sir. You'll be safe in there.

Mayor: Thank you, son.

I nod and he gets into his limo.

As I look around I see civilians getting attacked.

The Avengers are getting overwhelmed by them.

SM-06: I have to help them.

Daniel: No. You have to protect the Mayor. That's your job right now.

SM-06: Hell no. I can't stand by and let innocent people get hurt.

Daniel: Spider-Man....

I rip out the commlink and throw it away.

I web zip into the fight and smash through the androids.

After that I see two people are about to get hurt.

I quickly fire web lines and pull them away.

SM-06: You're safe now. Get going.

Man: Thank you, Spider-Boy.

He and his friend leave.

SM-06: Well, it's Spider-Man. But you're welcome.

Just then Warmachine lands down next to me.

Rhodey: Kid, if Kingsley had anything to do with this.

SM-06: Look, old man, I have no idea what's happening. And it doesn't matter if you trust me, because you need help. Now, try not to throw your hip out and let's do this.

I rush back into the fight.

Just then I get kicked in the back.

I quickly turn to see Spider Slayer is here.

SM-06: Spider Slayer. Let's do this.

I charge at him, but he hits me with an electrical blast.

Everything then goes black.

As I come to I see Kara looking down at me.

Kara: Hey. Are you okay?

SM-06: Uh, yeah. What happened?

She helps me get to my feet.

Kara: The Avengers are gone.

I look over to see a giant circle in the street across from City Hall.

SM-06: What? Who do this?

Kara: The Spider Slayer and his drones.

SM-06: Holy crap.

The Avengers are gone and the Slayer has new friends.

All of this is gonna be harder than I thought.
