Logan managed to get a little more sleep last night then he usually would, however it ended how his morning's usually start, with his cell phone going off letting him know that something was going down and he needed to do something, however as he lazily reached over for the phone, he grabbed something else instead, it was a note from Gwen, Logan didn't know that till he pushed himself up a little and sleepily looked over the letter.

"Sorry I had to leave early. Curt found something big and wanted me to come in. I'll see you late XX G

~ PS. Stay safe little spider"

Logan sat up as he read the note, his feet placed on the floor while rubbing his head, the cut from the knife last night already has already disappeared from his arm but he wasn't focused on that, he was more concerned about the phone that woke up him, he looked to it while it continued ringing to see it was S.H.I.E.L.D Director, Nick Fury.

Logan: Not today.

Logan reached over and pressed the end call button, every single week Nick is trying to recruit him to join the Avengers, he's pretty sure that he's going to give him his own team at some point but that's not today, Logan's a busy guy and it starts with getting something to eat, he rarely has time in the mornings but he hasn't got a crim alert on his phone yet so he's good for a minute or two.

Reporter: "... Mayor Wilson Fisk has this to say about the rise in Vigilante in our City..."

Logan switched on the Tv as he went down the stairs pulling a T-Shirt on over his head, he just took a quick shower, until there's a alert on his phone, he might even take it easy for the first time in a long time, Logan hasn't had an easy day since he was bitten by that dame bug, he wouldn't change it though, better him then so guy who'd use it for power, speaking of which, Kingpin's on Tv.

Wilson: "... It is my understanding that the citizens of this great City of ours, don't respect our boys in blue because of one reason. Spider-Man."

Logan's in the midst of making one of those health shake things, Gwen got him into them a few months back, he was adamant that one would not cross his lips but she convinced him to try one and now he can't stop drinking them, he even has a favourite Shake shop that has a Spider-Man special, it's actually really good.

Reporter: "The Mayor went on to point the finger at our very own Web-Slinger for the majority of the crime in the City, is Spider-Man really to blame? If he wasn't here, would the criminals leave too or would our lives be even more at risk...?"

Logan sighed as he shut off the Tv, Logan's been trying to bring down Wilson Fisk for years, he's even tried helping the New York City Police Department as much as he can but everything they find, it gets tossed right out of court because Fisk and his good deeds mixed together with his army of Lawyer's now he's the new Mayor.

Logan: Biggest crime lord in New York, now he's in charge and wants to bring a Task Force down on my ass.

Logan's breakfast shake thing was done so he poured the blender into one of those travel cups, Logan was done listening to the news, he's out there trying his best to keep people safe. risking his life every single day but he can't help but think that maybe they're right, what if Spider-Man did leave, maybe they will get bored and New York will be safe too.

Logan: I'd be flattered if he was a cute blonde.

He drank from his shake then looked back at his cellphone which went off again, Logan flipped it on the counter so he can see the screen as he drank his breakfast thing, he needed to blow off a little steam anyway when it came to the press conference so when he saw it was the NYPD Captain, Yuri asking him to meet her, Spider-Man does need to get some answers about what's going on with this Task Force thing, Yuri should know more then him.

Logan: Ain't no rest for a bug.

Logan picked up his phone and jumped to the balcony pulling himself up easily as he went to grab his suit, he doesn't know what the Captain wants with Spider-Man right now, not with the Mayor putting a target on his back, either way, he needs to be more careful now then he's ever been, especially with his loved ones...

Gwen made it to work thanks to a cab, she walked last night and that proved to be a bad idea so she's not making that mistake again, especially with the news she heard on the Radio, Gwen knew that when Fisk got elected Mayor that Logan's life will get harder but she didn't expect to see him building a Task Force to go after him, so she's going to be laying as low as she can. they've been through this sort of thing before, not against the who City but Scorpion nearly got to Spider-Man through Logan Kenway before, his Identity is still intact though, Logan stopped him but it was close so he made sure that Gwen, his mother and sister are prepared, they still don't know he's Spider-Man but he made sure they are safe.

Norman: Spider-Man got bitten by one of the Spider's in this room! Figure out why and how!

Gwen walked towards Curt's lab with her back to Norman as he barked at two scientists, if only they knew that Spider-Man has walked through their doors every so often, Norman might blow a gasket, Gwen's not sure why but Norman is on this whole thing about recreating that thing that happened to Steve Rogers, he's a nice guy, but he's not her type, if it wasn't for that then Logan wouldn't be Spider-Man and New York might have burned years ago.

Norman: Otto!

Gwen looked to the guy walking towards her as he walked past, Gwen glanced back just in time to see Norman shake hands with this guy, Gwen's never seen him before but thought that the name "Otto" was a little odd but she's not going to judge and just went to Curt's lab, as soon as she used her ID to enter the room, she was greeted by the one armed doctor.

Curt: Gwen...!

She smiled over to him as he walked towards her, a file in his one good hand while she went to her small little office, it's not huge but it's big enough, she has a desk, her own computer, her own place to put the pictures she has of her and Logan wherever she wants, Logan like's Curt as well, Curt's a good man, it's why Gwen wanted to work with him so closely.

Curt: ... Gwen, good news. I think it's worked. I think we finally have the right sequence needed.

Gwen stopped what she was doing as Curt followed her into the office, she hung her coat up on the stand where her lab coat stays when she's out of the office, Curt however opened up the file on her desk making Gwen look over to him, if this has worked then it's groundbreaking and could revolutionize genetics, imagine a world where you are in a car accident and you lose your leg or arm, this can help you go back to a normal life like nothing has ever happened.

Gwen: Really? That's incredible! We should get to tests, make sure it works first.

Gwen was thinking with a level head, Curt however not so much, Gwen can see that he's been up all night, she left before him and definitely got here after him so it was clear that Curt wasn't thinking with a level head just like Gwen was, her hunch was proven when he didn't answer her or respond to her, all he did do was pick up the file and leave the office with a small hum.

Curt: I'm not so sure, maybe we should skip to live testing.

Gwen followed him out the office as he walked past all the equipment in the lab, Gwen couldn't believe he would say something like that, going straight to live testing is so risky, it could have so many side effects that they have no idea what's going to happen.

Gwen: Doctor, you can't really think that's a good idea. We have to run tests to make sure there aren't any side effects.

Curt has his own family, a wife and a son and he wants to have that normal life back, there's no way he isn't driven by his own desire to get his arm back but rushing into live testing, even after getting a confirmed match doesn't matter, it just says that it can work, not that it will, there's so much behind this that the little green" Match" icon isn't telling them.

Gwen: Curt, we have to be patient with this. It could cause irreversible mutations or side effects. Please. Just wait a couple more weeks.

Curt placed down the tablet as the genetic sequence blipped green on the screen, Gwen could never understand his desire to grow his arm back but they really can't rush this, best case scenario is that he can grow his arm back using Lizard DNA, worst case is that he turns into a giant raging Lizard and Logan will have another thing on his plate, Gwen can't let that happen for either of them, Curt doesn't deserve it and Logan's already working himself towards exhaustion.

Curt: Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry, I got a little carried away. You're free to go home...

Gwen was confused, he just called her in to help because he caught a break in this thing, maybe he was going to skip to live testing and just needed someone to talk him out of it, she's not sure but she wasn't fully comfortable with leaving him all alone right now, he doesn't look like he's in the right state of mind but before she could argue, Curt turned.

Curt: ... I know you just got here but it's going to take at least 48 hours to set up the tests. Go and see Logan, you've been working so hard lately. Take the day off.

Gwen was about to insist on staying but he insisted on her taking the day off, she looked around and no one else has actually come in yet, she's a little worried about him know but she didn't think he's going to do anything stupid, so she agreed and went to grab her stuff, ready to leave again, when she did, Curt was back in his office, Gwen hopes that he's going to get over this hump real soon...

Spider-Man's on his way to meet Yuri to see what she needed from him, as he swung through the streets of New York, he needed to break up the odd fight and stop the odd speeding car, it wasn't out of his way but he did manage to get to Yuri without an issue, waiting up on top of the Police Station till she came through the door.

Yuri: ... Jesus...

Spider-Man stood up on the railing as she walked over to him, once she was there, she pulled out a packet of chewing gum at which point, Spider-Man backflipped off and landed beside her, leaning on the railing as well.

Yuri: ... Thanks for swinging by.

He nodded to her, if it wasn't for Yuri then who knows where Spider-Man would be right now, even when he was 18 and running around in a dumb hoodie and a pair of cargo pants with sneakers on, Yuri was helping him, she wasn't Captain back then but she was a Detective and she made sure if he was involved in something, it got swept under the rug.

Spider-Man: It's the least I can do for the only high ranking Cop in the city that doesn't want me in a cell. What's up?

Logan has had a rough ride recently, with Gwen's dad, George Stacy is actually another NYPD Captain, well, he was before Yuri took his spot, now George is acting Chief of Police and although he's out for Spider-Man's head as much as he used to be, he's pretty sure that one wrong move and Spider-Man's back on the NYPD's Most Wanted list.

Yuri: I wanted to warn you. This whole Task Force the Mayor is building. It's the real deal. He's already put Scorpion on the team...

Spider-Man looked out to the City as he figured Fisk would do something like this, give all the crooks all the power so he can't do anything, if Wilson does get this pushed over the line then who knows what will happen to the City, much less Logan, Spider-Man can take care of himself but there are people out there, people that these types of guys would kill to get to him.

Yuri: ... It might be worth laying low for a while. Let the heat die down.

Logan sighed through his mask as he didn't like that idea, if he backs down then that shows that Fisk can win and that's something he can't have happening, Wilson Fisk is dangerous enough as it is, the last thing he needs is for the Mayor to think that he's just going to disappear every time he threatens to call in a Task Force to specialize in taking him down.

Spider-Man: I can't do that. What I can do is bring Fisk down before he can finish his little "Dream Team".

Yuri huffed in amusement as Spider-Man jumped back up to the railing, this time squatting down, she knew he wasn't going to back down just because the Mayor has it in for him, 80% of this City is still behind Spider-Man and will do anything to help him keep them safe, even if it means getting into trouble themselves.

Yuri: I have a bad feeling something big is coming.

Spider-Man nodded while Yuri used her hands to push herself back up from the railing and stand upright, it's pushing midday now, Logan's mother should be getting in from work, she works nights down at the hospital, she's a doctor which is awesome, his younger sister is studying to do the same thing, he wishes he can tell them he's Spider-Man but he can't, only Gwen knows and it's best to keep it that way.

Spider-Man: Probably. We'll be ready for it.

Yuri smiled to his optimism then watched as he jumped off the building and zipped away, she has to love his confidence and desire to do the right thing, she needed to get back to work though, the Mayor is demanding results or he's going to shut down more precincts, Wilson Fisk is on a one man wrecking crew to extinguish the good in New York City and replace it with the bad, it's a good thing they have one man able to stop him... Spider-Man...
