Part 4.1) traditional classic Christmas movies

Who couldn't forget the classic movies that made the spirit of the Christmas season what it is today? Here is just a few of those movies that makes Christmas what we know and love today.

Classics like the James Stuart Christmas holiday tearjerker, "It's A Wonderful Life" Christmas would not be Christmas without a movie like that.

Now who couldn't forget the classic film adaptation of A Christmas Carol?

The story of a miserable miser, named Ebonezer Scrooge, visited by 3 spirits, of Christmas Past, Present and Future to offer a second chance of a life with filling his heart with the Christmas spirit. There have been many adaptations of the book and all, but the most classic was the Patrick Stuart version.

This may be recent but it is a classic remake, with Mara Wilson, child actress who played Matilda, but she done an amazing Susan Walker in 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street.

Now who couldn't forget the classic Will Ferrell Christmas Comedy film, Elf? This is considered to be a classic because children and adults of all ages can have a great laugh with the film.

Now Tim Allen is a brilliant actor, and who couldn't forget his performance in The Santa Clause movies? These movies are brilliant to watch on DVD one Christmas Eve to really get everyone together in the festive mood.

All three of them are funny, yet classic Christmas movies.

Now who couldn't forget Macaulay Culkin? A classic Christmas movie with him on the movies is Home Alone 1 and 2.

Who couldn't forget Kevin McAllister in these? My gosh how clever was he to catch the wet bandits off guard with rigging his home with boobytraps.

And who couldn't forget Bing Crosby? White Christmas? He sings the song of the same title as the movie, and to all of us, this is counted as one of the all time Christmas classic movies that ultimately stood the test of time.

Although it's pegged a action movie, Die Hard is a classic because the movie begins with a Christmas party in an office building, starring Bruce Willis and the late Alan Rickman, this film has some great moments in it.

Since 2003 however, a British themed festive Christmas romcom came on to our screens, starring Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Rowan Atkinson to name a few. This movie is called Love Actually. This movie is quite the classic Christmas romantic comedy.

Nothing screams a heartwarming Christmas movie or two like Raymond Briggs classic cartoon musical movies, The Snowman, and The Snowman and The Snowdog. Where the magic brings the characters to life only on Christmas Eve. But in one instance, the Snowdog became a real after the young boy recieves a collar from Father Christmas.

This is the sequel trailer for the Snowman and The Snowdog.

I love the music in these movies... Even if there's no dialogue.

These movies I consider to be classics. Next part of chapter 4 is the modern Christmas movies section.
