In this section of chapter 2 we discuss how to get your house a home for Christmas with Christmas pizazz and sparkle.

To begin with, we start with the easiest room of the house. The entrance hallway.

It is important to choose weither you choose to do Traditional colours or, for the sake of your children, they'd be opting for a quirky modern theme.

Since we are tackling the hallway First, here's the modern Vs Traditional. In the below

So choose what theme colours to work with.

If you work with the Traditional colours, then greens, white, red and gold.

If you choose to go modern, try sparkling rainbow colours.

I am a traditional type, so we can handle the decoration for the hallway for Christmas in the Traditional colours.

To decorate the stair banister rail, we use a tradition for garlands.

Traditionally, the tree branches used in stair railing garlands at Christmas is fir tree foliage. But it's an option to add Traditional red baubles to it. Makes it look more traditional that way..this picture below shows a plain fir tree foliage garland on the stair case railing.

And here is the garland with red baubles.

For ceiling decoration, we use red and gold foil garlands. Unless you are modern, you can use blues and silver ones. But I'm sticking with the traditional colours for a great demonstration of what to decorate with.

In between the garlands on the ceiling, use some baubles to really get the hallway looking festive.

This is optional, but you can add a ornamental santa sleigh in the hallway as well. This is a welcoming sight as well.

Have a traditional wreath on the door, this will make it so welcoming for Santa and what ever guests who come to call. May it be family, friends or carollers. It is best to hang up the wreath on the outer part of the front door.

As this is the easiest room of the house to decorate for Christmas, it doesn't take much time to get the hallway ready and sparkling for Christmas. Here's how the hallway would look like.

This basically covers the entire hallway, decoration for the festive season, next is the busiest room in the house, the sitting room. There will be a lot of decorating for Christmas involved as it is is living nerve center of the whole house.
