Part 1.1) Deep Cleaning the bathroom
All deep cleaning begins somewhere.
What if Santa Claus wishes to do the toilet, but he hates a dirty house, the best place to start is the restroom (British: Bathroom).
- to begin you'll need the following cleaners:
And also make a checklist for each room. So start with the bathroom. When you have a checklist for cleaning the bathroom, start with dusting the lampshade of the overhead lights, but do it while the lights are off. The best way to dust fabric overhead light shades is to use a microfiber cleaning cloth. (See the picture below. All credit of the picture goes to Joyful Homemaking.)
Using the cloth to clean the lampshade and overhead light shades, this could mean taking the dust is easy, please be gentle as lampshades are very delicate and hard to clean unless done properly. This applies to all lampshades spread across the house. The technique applies to all the lampshades in the house.
Leave the hard floor mopping until last. You should focus on the surfaces... Use the above mentioned cleaning fluids above. Flash bathroom cleaner spray.
Use this sparingly because this has bleach in the cleaner. Using a blue cloth and paper towels to drying the surface of the glass of the shower to give off a streak free shine.
The next step after handling the toilet and the bathroom surfaces, you should now focus on cleaning the toilet bowl itself. I recommend the Harpic toilet cleaner brand, one that has boasted 100% limescale removal. (Courtesy of Harpic power cleaner. Picture below.)
To properly clean the inside of the toilet bowl, sparingly use some Harpic power cleaner on the edging of the inside bowl of the toilet, and scrub good. (Picture below.)
When you you scrub the bowl, flush the toilet and clean the lid and seat. See the picture below... I prefer using a soft blue or yellow checked cleaning cloth for this job, but a sponge works well too.
After this, comes the mop and bucket, to mop up the bathroom floor... Hard floors benefit from a good mop so it smells clean and hygienic, and safe to use. (Look to the video below to find out how to mop up a floor safely and drama free.)
If you have tiles on the walls of your bathroom, inspect if the grout needs a touch up. In order to do it, you need a grout pen. (Picture below, courtesy of Rainbow chalk.) This also shows the before, and after results of a good grout touch up.
Cleaning the bathroom windows and mirrors come last too, so use a wonder product called windowlene. It's active ingredient is vinegar, it is thought that vinegar works to shine on mirror surfaces and window glass. (Courtesy of the Windolene company, all credits for this picture below goes to them.)
Be sure to really put your back into cleaning the windows and mirrors with this product if you want a diamond like shine every time you clean the windows.
If you own a cat, and she has been stinky, clean the litter box, first take the old litter and dispose of it responsibly and wash the tray and to dry it out, then before refilling the tray, spray the cat litter box cleaner and wipe down the tray.
and ultimately refill the cat litter box and your kitty is all set again.
Last but not means least, you should air out the bathroom and open the window to let air in, and also if you want to, it's optional, spray air freshener all over the bathroom. Since it is for Christmas, I recommend Glade Apple Cinnamon air freshener spray. (All credits for the picture below goes to Johnson, a family care company here in the UK. Johnson owns Glade.) Also use this spray or any other UK air freshener brands all over the house for the winter season.
So now, you should have a perfect deep cleaned bathroom. Here is a a picture below of before and after.
So now we have covered the bathroom, next part of the deep cleaning chapter is to deal with the sitting room or as we Brits call it, the living room.
