Chapter 3.1) The Theory of Christmas
We often debate weither Christmas time is a Pagan holiday or a Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. In this chapter, we will debunk each theory and give you a history lesson on the holiday season.
Many people think Christmas is actually a Pagan holiday, as this has many different traditions that the Pagans used, and that this heavily is based on the Winter Solstice.
While many devout Christian believers think that the Bible says that Christmas is actually the basis of the birth of Jesus Christ, according to the Gospel according to Matthew in the New Testament of the Good News Bible. Where we get the idealism for the modern children's Nativity Play.
First, let's debunk the theory of the Pagan side first.

You know the decorations we have today for decorating the house for Christmas that we know and love? The theory of this is it is a Pagan tradition.
This is in fact true, this is a tradition of the Pagans. The tree we chop down is not Christian, or to do with the Bible, it was introduced in the 16th century in eastern Germany. Also the tradition in pagan Europe in the 12th century to depict the story of creation and the fall of Adam and Eve, through the Paradise Play.
The Paradise Play tree was introduced from Germany, and spread to other parts of Europe then America. It was Queen Victoria who introduced it to us known as the traditional Christmas tree in Britain in 1841. Since then, became a universal symbol of Christmas.
A Winter Solstice festival?
Some say in aincent Pagan customs, December 25th observations, arguments suggest a festival known as the Winter Solstice. Which was also a aincent Roman custom as the Romans believe in a festival called Sol Invictus. The festival of the Invincible Sun celebrated on our modern December 25th observations which didn't come about til 274AD when Emperor Aurelian.
Could it be possible that the Pagans stole the ideals of Christmas from the Christian people?
Let's say it was actually a legitimate Christian celebration? Let's share the religious side.
According to the gospel according to John of the good news Bible, in Nazareth, on 25th March, some Bible theorists say, was when the the light of the world was conceived, was when the Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to to Mary occurred. So this theory suggests that 9 months later, he'd be born in Bethlehem on December 25th, the origin of Christmas Day, in a stable of an inn that was full. The church however sees that as a children's Nativity Play would tell the Story of how the first Christmas came about.
These arguments are plausible but believe what you will, but Christmas is a celebration from both sides of the argument.
