The Ultimate Gift

Have you ever received a gift that made you feel special? Perhaps you've wondered what you did to deserve it. But have you considered the greatest gift – one you didn't ask for or earn? Jesus' salvation is that gift.

Scripture:
Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23 and Romans 10:9-10

Reflection:
You don't need to earn God's approval through good works or achievements. No amount of merit can secure salvation. Yet, God offers the gift of salvation, providing forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life, solely out of love. This gift is freely available to all humanity, regardless of background or accomplishments.

Application:
While walking in your neighborhood, someone approaches you and says there's someone giving free gifts over there! When you went there, without questions, this person gave you a gift too and tells you to tell others to come and receive a gift from him too. Out of joy, you will tell everyone about this news and the gift you received. You will keep and appreciate it, and won't let anyone take it away from you or lose it because it's given to you for free and is so special. That's the same as God's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ that we received, making us messengers to our brothers about it and realize that there's no love greater than this!

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for this gift of salvation you have given us freely. May we be able to treasure, share and honor Your love. Amen!

Prompt:
How does this gift from God impacted your life? Will you share this to others also?
