"Is everyone ready for today's challenge? Sara, Landon. You won the challenge last night and so you have an exit token for this challenge. Would you like to use it?" I look towards Sara as she looks to Landon and then back to the judge as she shakes her head. "I'm glad to hear it!"

We all cheer as the judge continues to hype us up. "Well, I hope you are ready for crazy shakes. Today you will have to drink milkshakes made out of everything that should never mix with ice cream and if you can't finish it you will be instantly disqualified."

The stage has 5 tables in front of it. One for each of the teams. We take our spots and wait for the inevitable death of our taste buds.

"Are you guys ready because here is your first milkshake? Tuna sandwich shake." They put small cups in front of us and the smell alone makes me nauseous. I look at Percy who just stares at the cup in front of him. He makes no effort to look positive about the situation.

The countdown stops and we pick up our cups. The taste of tuna slowly made its way down my throat and instantly rose again. I lift my chin, looking at the clouds to keep it down before looking at the other teams. Their hands cover their mouths to keep it in. I take a sip of water before looking at Percy. He keeps looking down "Come on we got this just take a sip of water."

"Oh God, I want to die!" Percy says while grabbing the water off of the table. "You are doing great okay."

"Okay everyone survived this round just four more to go." The judge walks past each table to make sure everyone finished theirs. "Next up we have buffalo wings and blue cheese. Good luck."

The light caramel-coloured ice cream sat in front of me topped with an inch of blue cheese. The thick liquid touches my lips and I take it away. The taste of the blue cheese making the tuna milkshake I just had stirred in my stomach.

"I know you hate it, but do you want to be disqualified because of a cheese?" Percy asks me chuckling.

I shake my head and pinch my nose with one hand chugging the abomination down in five gulps. Percy offers me a high five as I hiccup the taste away. "Oh yeah, I definitely won't be doing this again," I mumble to myself.

"Everyone is still holding up well I must say I'm surprised." The judge laughs into the microphone. "Get ready for this one... this time it's a surprise."

The pink drink is put on the table please be strawberry... I thought to myself.

I raise the drink "Congratulations you just had cow tongue." The judge declares. I hear a sudden commotion to the left of me, making me turn my head. Valerie stood there, arms crossed screaming at Brad. "Are you kidding me? I'm done! I can't deal with this." She walks away from the teams and leaves the beach leaving Brad puking at their table.

"Well, I guess the challenge is over then." The judge laughs. "Sara and Landon won last night's challenge so they didn't have to take part in today's, but I'm glad they did. Now they can use it in tonight's challenge as an extra time token."

He walks in a line "For tonight's challenge you have to find a treasure chest hidden somewhere around the city. You'll have clues and have to work through puzzles to find them. The challenge ends at 4 pm, Sara and Landon can start now and in 30 minutes the rest of the teams will be able to start."

Sara and Landon run over to grab a piece of paper, they quickly read it and in a blink of an eye, they were sprinting towards the city.

"I hope everyone is ready because your time just started!" The judge screams causing us to run towards the envelopes in his hand.

First clue:

As a kid you hate them and as a teen, you date them. Your first clue is with the one called Alvin.

"What can this be?" I look towards Percy who looks equally confused. "I don't know I'm just thinking of Alvin and the chipmunks at this point."

I look back at the paper "What did you hate as a kid?" I ask.

"Well... spiders, clowns, Dracula I don't know a lot of things." He chuckled

"Clowns! It's at the carnival." I almost scream as I start running towards the boardwalk.

"How do you know?" Percy screams behind me as he starts catching up.

"Well unless spiders talk and you see Damon Salvatore around here I don't think it's one of those. Plus everyone is scared of clowns."

We reach the entrance and my eyes scan around. "There are clowns everywhere." I run a hand through my hair trying to think of a solution.

"Screw it." I hear Percy mutter under his breath, he takes the megaphone from the guy at the entrance and runs inside "Alvin!" Percy screams, attracting everyone's attention.

We walk around till we spot a purple-dressed clown walking our way.

"Are you Alvin?"

"Unfortunately." He laughs as he hands Percy the next clue. "Good luck." He says as he walks away.

Percy opens the envelope to find a teddy bear sticker in it with no explanation. "Do you think it could be a reference to the claw machine?" He asks showing me the sticker.

"Only one way to find out." I grab his hand leading us to the machine. "They're empty?" My brows furrow in confusion.

"Come on let's look around a little more." Percy smiles, as we walk through all the games. I turn to a game and something catches my eye. I stop in the middle of the road. "Show me the sticker again." He pulls out the sticker of the red and white teddy bear. "There it is!"

I walk over to the game "Excuse me, sir. How can I win that bear?" I point to the white and red bear hanging at the top right corner. "If you can make 10 cans fall with 4 shots you can have it." He smiles.

"How much does it cost?" Percy asks "$5." He gives the man the money and takes the 4 balls and starts throwing them at the cans that are stacked on top of each other. 5 barrels each with 5 cans creating triangles.

He throws the first only hitting the top can. The second he hits 3. "Come on Percy you got this."

The third he misses completely. The man starts laughing making Percy frustrated as he hits the last one causing 3 more to fall over.

"You only hit seven better luck next time." The man smiles. I look at Percy's disappointment evident on his face. "Here." I give the man the money and take the four balls.

The first one I hit smack in the middle causing three to fall over. The second I aim lower causing all 5 to fall over. The third I hit only the top can nearly missing it. In the fourth barrel, I luckily hit the cans in the middle causing three to fall.

"You did it!" The man blabs out a little surprised.

I scream in excitement, jumping into Percy's arms as he lifts me in the air.

I take the bear, I feel a hard lump in the back of the bear and turn it around. There is a slit in the back and inside I find a folded-up piece of paper.

Clue 3:

You've completed the mission in this place now let's go to outer space. Follow the stars to another dimension where life is void of any attention.

"Really? Like this isn't the black hole cinema." Percy laughs "These clues aren't creative now are they." He says sarcastically.

"Yeah, no comment." I sigh. "Let's go."

We leave the carnival quickly making our way down the boardwalk and looking at every shop we pass. "What's the time?" I look towards Percy "its 2 pm." My eyes widen. "We need to hurry."

"There it is!" I point to the sign a few stores down and we hurry inside.

There are planets covering the ceiling and the walls are all painted black. "You do realize that we don't exactly have any idea of what we need to find right?" I whisper to Percy.

"Well don't you too look lost?" The cashier with her chin resting on her palm said sarcastically. "You guys here for the clue?"

I nod "Yeah, we just have no idea what we're looking for." I laugh nervously.

She smiles "There you go." She points to the paper sitting on the counter next to the solar system. "Thank you so much." I run grabbing the paper. "We owe you one." She laughs "Don't worry about it, it happens every year."

We quickly make our way outside. I open the letter.

Last clue:

Congratulations on finding the last clue. Your life is filled with pressure, but find me the chest filled with treasure. At the place of your first adventure.

"You can't be serious. All this effort just to go back to the beach."

"Well, at least they keep it interesting." Percy sighs as we run back down to the beach. Landon and Sara are right in front of us. We make our way to the ocean and find a rope with a neon ribbon attached to it in the sand leading us into the water. I grab it. I try pulling on it, I try anything to give me a hint as to where it is. I see sand rise to the top and follow the bubbles that formed. "Percy here it is," I shout, trying to pick it up but failing miserably. Percy runs into the water picking up the handle on the other side of the box, with no luck in lifting it. "Let's just drag it out." He puts his side of the box down. And pulls the handle, dragging it across the ocean floor till we have it out. Water flows out of the box making it easier to lift.

Percy lifts it and we run back to our table from this morning and drop the box in front of it.

"Two teams are back and we have two more to go." I look around to see if I can spot Isabella.

"And here comes Daphne and Lukas. Still no sign of Grayson and Isabella." The judge walks over to the stage and takes a seat.

30 minutes have passed with still no sign of those two. "Well the time is up and no sign of them. Which means they have been disqualified. Congratulations to those of you who are still in the game and we will see you tomorrow."

Everyone started to pack up, leaving Percy and me to sit on the beach in silence. "I wonder what happened to Grayson and Isabella," I question.

"Me too," Percy replies.
