Good god, I have to get a life.

Third Person's View

*Play Song*

Katelyn walks solemnly into the conference room, all of the P.H.O.E.N.I.X. agents filing into the room, all taking their spots in the room, all looking to her, as she walks to the front of the long table, clearing her throat, getting their attention.

They all silence themselves, observing her sorrow expression.

She scans the room, looking to all these amazing people....all of them that have dedicated their lives to serving their countries.....

Ready....when needed.....to make the ultimate sacrifice.....

Like...Travis did.

"Agents, I have some news..." Before Katelyn can finish, an astonishing site appears before her eyes.

Laurence, Lucinda, a little girl that resembled the two, and an all too familar face enters the room, all panting from what seemed like extreme sprinting.

They all come to the front where Katelyn stood, everyone murmuring and whispering.

"Is that Laurence?"

"What is Lucinda doing here?"

"Travis? He's alive?"

Katelyn is completly frozen in shock, her mouth slightly ajar, her brain telling her heart stuff her heart wasn't believing.

It can't be...

But it is.

How? Where? When?

Travis meets her gaze and everything seems to come to a halt.

They both just stare at each other, tears gathering in the creases of their eyelids. Their faces on the edge of crumpling.

Then, simultaneously, they sprint to each other, joining in a fierce hug that nearly sends them both to the ground. both pulling away quickly to kiss, streams of tears running down their faces.

They were cheers, but more confusion, as they all turn to Lucinda at the head of the table.

"Agents, there is so much to explain but too little time to tell so I'm going straight to the point, we need to all head to our safehouse in Falcon claw right now." Lucinda starts, but Katelyn, who had long before released from her reuniting kiss from Travis, cuts her off.

"No! We need to head to the Shadow Knight's base now!" Katelyn exclaims to the rest of the agents, all of them trying to wrap their heads around what was happening.

"Katelyn, the nukes are going to hit Phoenix Drop soon. We need to—"

"No! Aphmau is there! And Aaron left to get her!"

The room erupts in gasps and murmurs. Lucinda's eyes looked like they were about to burst out of her head.

"What!?" Lucinda yells.

"Aaron went after Aphmau, and...and..." Katelyn starts tearing up, shaking head slowly.

"What? What's going on, Katelyn?" Travis forced her to look at him, his hands squeezing her shoulders.

"Aaron...I think he's going to die."

Aaron shoots two guards who were charging at him from the down the hall, both collapsing in an instant.

At one of the corners, he ducks down against the wall of one of the hallways in the Shadow Knight's base, reloading another magazine into his gun, taking a deep breath.

He rummages through his pocket, pulling out the small vial, sighing.

This will be over soon, Aph. You will be happy again.

When he turns the corner again, he sees what he was dreading but yet was yearning to see.

She tilts her head at him, a smile pulling at her cheeks, an armada of Shadow Knights behind her.

A smile all to painfully familiar to Aaron.

"Why, hello there, Aaron"

**************************************

"The plan is almost complete. Now," Gene looks down on the open metal briefcase before him, pressing a small grey button in it, a percentage bar starting to turn green as it moves sideways, starting at 1%.

Only 99% before he can launch the rocket holding the nukes.

Destination: Phoenix Drop

"Get ready. There is a private jet for us in the loading dock. I'll make this place self destruct once we clear the area." Gene informs Ein, buckling up the briefcase, everyone in the room clamoring about, packing up and downloading all of Shadow Knight intel.

"Wait, what about Aphmau?" Ein asks, unable to keep the concern from his voice, his blue and grey wolf ears twitching.

"She will hold off the P.H.O.E.N.I.X. agents as we escape. C'mon." Gene stops halfway out the door, turning back, raising an eyebrow at Ein. He was standing in front of the security cam screens, watching Aphmau stand in one of the hallways.

Gene rolls his eyes, scoffing. "There are 3.52 billion women in the world just like her. Now, let's go before more agents raid this place."

Ein hesitated for a moment, before he gives in, following Gene out of the room.

Just because their wishes seem ill-intended...

It doesn't mean they are unworthy of love.

***************************************

"Aph." Aaron croaks.

"Shut it! Don't you dare say my name, you bastard!" She retorts, her eyes full of fury.

"Aph. Please..." He pleads, face crumpling.

"Kill him." She commands the Shadow Knights behind her. They don't hesitate.

Aaron prepares himself, readying his weapons, eyeing Aphmau in the crowd, knowing what he had do.

The Shadow Knights get closer, all of them angered.

Though not as angered...as Aphmau, herself.

*********************************************

"There are two potions on her, one making her love Ein, and the other making her hate Aaron."

"How is he going to free her, then? He only has one potion." Travis asks from the passenger seat of the truck, the road bumping the vehicle along as the driver drove them to the Shadow Knight's base.

"That's the point. He'll only be able to take off one of the two potions she has on her. Leaving the other..." Katelyn can't bring herself to finish the sentence, her two metal fists clenching in her lap.

"Which one did he pick for her to keep?" Zane asks, but he already knew the answer.

"...the one that makes her...hate Aaron."

**********************************************

Aaron was tearing down every Shadow Knight that threw themselves at him, all collapsing at his feet.

Aphmau was slowly backing up, watching these terrifying events unfold, fear in her eyes.

The number of Shadow Knights were going down, all of them being taken down by now the Ultima Aaron, his ears and tails showing, his Ultima form making him overpowered.

As less and less Shadow Knights start charging at him, all getting taken down, Aphmau runs off down the hallway, away from Aaron, sprinting as fast as she could.

Aaron notices this, but there were still guards standing between him and her.

Aphmau turns the corner, finding Gene and Ein waltzing down the next corridor, Gene grinning why carrying the metal briefcase, Ein walking alongside him, his expression solemn.

Though when Ein looks up, he catches a glimpse of Aphmau running towards them, Gene also noticing her presence.

"What are you doing here?! You are suppose to be guarding the...." Before Gene finishes, Ein roundhouse kicks him, knocking him to the floor, the case flying out of his grasp, scattering across the floor.

Gene just lies there on the floor, groaning and moaning in pain.

Ein picks the briefcase off the floor, and takes Aphmau's hands in his, gesturing for them to run.

"C'mon there is a jet in the loading dock, it'll take us to O'kasis, we'll be safe there" Ein says as he drags Aphmau behind him, both running down the hallway and turning another corner.

Gene shakes his head quickly, trying to shake the drowsy feeling from his head.

"That traitor......should never have worked with werewolves......." Gene murmurs, using the wall to stand up, his knees shaking violently.

"Gene...." A voice growls, hostility making up the majority of his voice.

Gene hears this chuckling, turning around to see the Ultima, trying to hide his fear.

"Oh I'm so lucky I had that muffin this morning"

***********************************************************

Ein halts momentarily, letting go of Aphmau's hand, leaning the case against the wall, unlatching the cover, flapping it up, observing the bright green percentage bar move along slowly.

"C'mon C'MON!" Ein yells impatiently, studying the movement of the bar.

************************************************************

Aaron charges at Gene, too fast for Gene to comprehend and before you know it, Gene was halfway up the wall, Aaron's strong grip on his throat, Gene gasping for air.

"What ever you do to me....it's no use....whether against me or not, Ein will launch that rocket.....and it will reach Phoenix Drop in the next hour" Gene chuckles, his legs dangling below him.

Aaron pants, frustrated, but catches a glimpse of a sign on one of the doors in the hallway, a terrifying idea entering his brain.

Gene notices this change in Aaron's expression, his eyes full of concern.

Well not concern for Aaron of course, just for his own well being.

Aaron lifts Gene off the wall with one hand, Aaron's palm clasped around Gene's now swollen throat.

With Aaron's other hand, he grabs a keycard in his hand, one that he had previously stolen from a guard's outfit, like Aph did when they were raiding Gene's trophy case, and swiped it against the panel next to the door with the terrifying sign.

Once the door is unlocked, Aaron kicks open the door, throwing Gene into the room behind the door, Gene landing with a painful thud, his tearful screams ringing out in the air.

Aaron follows him inside the room, the door closing locking behind him.

The inside of the room astounded Aaron, his mouth in awe on how modernized the room was, and how much it resembled the inside of a....

Rocket.......

*************************************************************

When the percentage bar is fully green, Ein poises his finger over the switch, taking a deep breath.

"This is for Ryder"

He flicks the switch, a loud buzzing starting to arise throughout the building.

Ryder was Ein's best friend, who was sadly paralyzed in one of the P.H.O.E.N.I.X. attacks.

The loud buzzing turns into fiery roar, as Aphmau and Ein watch through the large window of the hallway as the rocket slowly makes it way off the ground, it spouting tons of toxic clouds and fire before zooming up faster into the sky.

Ein sighs in relief, relieved the job was done, turning back to Aphmau with a smile, but doesn't see her there.

He swivels his head in a panic, sighing with frustration when finding out where she was.

Both ends of the hallways, were filled with hundreds of P.H.O.E.N.I.X. agents, all wearing the distinguishing black and all holding up guns pointed at the one target in front of them...

Ein....

Katelyn and Zane were restraining Aphmau against the wall, trying to convince her to fight the potion in some way.

Ein knew it was no use for them to try, knowing that soon her eyes will turn back to their usual color, and the potion effects will be permanent.

Ein raises hands slowly above his head in surrender, placing the case down, still looking out the window at the rocket which was getting smaller and smaller as it went farther and farther.

He then turns back to in front of him, where a few meters away stood a satisfied powerful orange haired woman.

"Ah Lucinda, charming as ever....." Ein tries to smooth-talk, Lucinda cutting him off.

"Don't even try Ein, you're done, face it, it's over, you lost" Lucinda smiles, the stressful weights lifting off her shoulders.

"I wouldn't say we lost" Ein cocking a grin, looking back out the window.

Lucinda walks up to window, looking out, what she sees sending a horrified look onto her face.

"No.......not already" She says silently, her head slowly turning to Ein, who only chuckled.

"Too late"

*****************************

The floor rattles as a loud roar rings out in Aaron and Gene's ears, both falling to the floor, due to gravity pushing down on them as the rocket starts to shoot into the sky.

This rocket....is the one holding the nuke.....

The one heading for Phoenix Drop....

And if Gene's calculations where correct.....

It would only be an hour until Phoenix Drop and its people, will be no more....

All those innocent men....women......children.....families....

Murdered......

The heavy push of gravity doesn't lessen for a few minutes, but when it does, you could hear Gene's mischievous chuckles ring out.

Aaron pushes up his body with his fists, gravity pushing him down.

Gene just keeps chuckling, lying stretched out on the floor.

Aaron slowly army crawls his way over to Gene, the roaring of the engines below still at large.

Aaron then wrap's his palms around Gene's neck, causing Gene's already lack of oxygen from the pressure, become no air at all.

Aaron grimaces, still fighting the force of gravity as it keeps trying to pull him down.

Gene just smiles again, chuckling through the pain.

"Why? I.....don't get it......why would you....do so much.....even sacrifice your own life....and everything you had.....to save......someone....who despises you?" Gene asks rasply.

Though Aaron doesn't respond verbally, his silence is good enough for Gene.

"Well...you better hope....it...was worth it....because now.....you....are going to.....die.....along with rest....of...Phoenix Drop" Gene manages out rasply, still grinning.

Aaron clocks him right in the mouth, wiping that annoying smirk off his face.

Gene coughs again, pain erupting everywhere in his body.

"No.........no one is going to die.....except us....."

Gene raises an eyebrow confused, well at least until he see's what's in Aaron's other hand.

"No.....how.....ARGHHHH YOU'LL KILL US BOTH!" Gene warns, trying to free himself of Aaron's grasp, trying to knock the gun from Aaron's hand.

".....Good" Aaron looks down, preparing himself for the impact, as he raises his gun to the nuke which was in a glass case in the wall, poising his finger over the trigger.

And before pulling the trigger, says these few words.

"I love you Aphmau"

**********************************

Everyone was watching in fear as the rocket rose higher and higher into the sky, all of them knowing where it was headed and what it will do when it gets there.

Some were in tears, while others were in sorrow, Aphmau still struggling against Katelyn and Zane's grasp, Ein grinning widely at the nuke like it was his son going off to college.

"Wait......where's Aaron?" Lucinda asks, looking quickly at everyone in the hallway, unsuccessful at finding him.

"HE'S ON THE ROCKET! I REPEAT AARON'S ON THE ROCKET WITH THE NUKE! LUCINDA!" Teony comes screaming down the hall, everyone starting to generate a bad feeling.

He's on the.......rocket.....

Which is going to crash....IN PHOENIX DROP!

"He's on the rocket?! What? How?!" Garroth throws his arms in the air, everyone starting to become uneasy.

"Heh he got what he deserved" Aphmau remarks, Ein laughing with her, everyone getting a pitiful feeling in their guts.

"Aphmau! It's Aaron! Remember Aaron? You LOVE him" Katelyn tries, tears in her eyes.

"No I don't! I hate him! I hate him with everything I have! And now, finally, he's going to die, and that's ALL I WANT!" She exclaims, everyone looking to her with tired eyes, all pained.

Then they are all startled, by a loud, ear piercing, hot....

Explosion.....

Everyone goes up to the large window, all their eyes widening in shock and grief, all looking up to where the rocket used to be.....

Now....it was growing cloud of smoke.....

And arising out of the mist.....was a large red symbol in the clouds made of pure magic, a symbol that could be seen from miles away.......

A symbol....of the Ultima.....

Aphmau catches of glimpse of this symbol, her struggling stopping, her gaze fixated on this symbol in the clouds, her eyes wavering between green and hazel.

Until....it turns pure hazel......

And what happens next, is absolute, heartbreak.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOONNNNNN"

Yes, I did just bring up the two most saddest moments on Aphmau's channel.

Your welcome.

Have a nice day my crystals!
