SHONEN MANGA (or SHOUNEN)- This type of manga targets boys  primarily between the age of 8-18 but girls can also watch these as well. Mostly the concept of this manga is usually fighting. They add a lot of high-action and/or humorous plots and they usually feature male protagonists.

SHOJO MANGA (or SHOUJO)- This Manga is very popular for young women. This is basically an opposite for Shonen Manga. Instead of the concept of fighting and etc., they cover many varieties of story styles. Mostly they choose plots that consist of romance, emotion, and relationships.
