The next day we were told by Guren that we had a mission on our hands, we were heading to Naguya for a battle. I was a bit worried about this, knowing that it would lead to a lot of bloodshed and if Yu happened to get hurt or worse, I knew I couldn't live with myself. I strapped my boots on and looked up from my hands as I stared at the wall. What if he would be there? I shook my head at the thought and continued tying my boots. I couldn't think about the blond haired boy from my past. It didn't matter anymore. It was over. I was a different person now. I had told myself that time and time again. I worked with the Moon Demon Company. I had my own demon and blade out of the black demon blade series. I got up and grabbed my blade, tying it to my belt. I took a glance at myself in the mirror, at the uniform, at my (H/L) (H/C) and sighed, I forgot to brush my hair. I walked over and grabbed my hair brush from my stand and started brushing out my hair. I had to at least look presentable. I was a soldier for crying out loud. It wouldn't be long now until we got into the vehicles to go to Naguya.

(Mika's POV)

I stood in Krul's chambers in silence as she filled a few vials of blood for me. I watched as the red liquid slowly filled the clear vial and felt the like I had swallowed down pins and needles. The pain was immense, though I forced it down. I glanced over my shoulder and swore that I saw her. The girl I always remembered from that day. The girl with (H/L) (H/C) and beautiful (E/C) eyes. It felt like forever now since that day.

(Flashback)

"Pet?" I questioned in curiosity. She nodded happily and wiped the hair from my face, "Yep. And I decided that since a little bird told me that it was your birthday, I'll give you the best gift of all! I'll share my friend with you (Y/N)-Chan!" I rose a brow and looked to the boy who returned the glance, our eyes locking, (E/C) to dancing blue.

(End flashback)

I sighed and shook my head. I had to stop thinking about it. But it was so hard not to think about it. First I lost my family, and then Yu, and then the girl who was supposed to be my new friend, the only true friend I might have had around here, and now she was gone. She was beautiful, and her gaze was enough to stop anyone. I wondered how she was doing, if she were even alive for that matter. A sudden thought soon chilled me to the bone. What if the humans had taken her and mangled her mind? What if I never got to speak with her because of that fact? Krul must have noticed my concentrated state and spoke up in her chipper tone, "What is it Mika? It seems as though something is bothering you." I sighed and shook my head, "It's nothing Krul" I lied through my teeth, which to her was easy to spot. "Oh please Mika. Don't go about moping around and not tell me what's on your mind. I know when you're upset about something so just tell me" she said in her ever so motherly tone. I heaved a sigh, knowing I had been beaten, "alright, fine, I'll tell you. It's just...the humans. What do you think they did to (Y/N)?" Krul smirked at this and stood, walking over to give him the pouch of vials, "Listen to you. You make it seem as though you've fallen in love with this girl" she said in a playful, teasing tone. HIs face reddened slightly and he attached the pouch to his belt, "What? No! Never! I was just a bit worried, you did say she would be my friend..." Krul nodded, "I see. Well, in that case I guess we'll have to see now won't we?" she said, glancing over her shoulder at him as she walked to her throne once again. Once she sat down she crossed a leg over her other, "We'll be leaving soon to go to Naguya. If I were you I'd go to get ready. This battle could mark a new era to the vampire reign." Mika nodded and turned to walk off until Krul stopped him, "Oh, before you get too ravenous, would you like an extra vial? I'm sure you must be thirsty." Mika put up a hand and shook his head, "No thank you. I have things to do" he said, even though his body was crying out for the crimson substance. She nodded, "As you wish. You'll have to meet up with us and an hour. It's time that we put the humans in their place."

(Yu's POV)

I was waiting with Guren and the squad while we awaited (Y/N)'s arrival. She was late. "I wonder what's holding her up..." I muttered and Kimizuki looked at me and laughed, "Relax lover boy. She's fine I'm sure." My face turned red with anger and embarrassment, "Oh shut up telephone pole!" I snapped at him, my hand clenching into a fist as I threatened to hit him until Guren kicked me in the head and left me in pain, "We don't need any fights before the true battle has begun! We'll need every ounce of energy we can get!" he snapped at me as I rubbed my head. I then noticed as (Y/N) ran over to us, she seemed out of breath. When she stopped in front of us and apologized for being late, all I could do was chuckle, she seemed worried.

((Y/N)'s POV)

"I'm so sorry! I spaced out, I didn't realize what time it was" said apologetically. Of course I was late on one of the most important days that I could ever be late on. Shinoa shook her head, 'Don't worry (Y/N), you're not late at all. We still have five minutes until we have to get going." I nodded, sighing in relief as Yu walked over and wrapped an arm around me, "Wow, for someone who could care less, you seem worried that you might miss out on the battle." I huffed and crossed my arms, "Oh shut up! I just need to be there for my squad." Shinoa smiled and giggled, 'That's it! That kind of attitude is what we're looking for! Why can't you be like that Yu?' she asked, obviously teasing him. He rolled his eyes, "Whatever, I don't have time to be sitting here and chit chatting with you. Let's get going. We have to get to the vehicles before they leave without us." We all made our way to the van and got in, it was time. We were off to battle.
