Untitled Part 4

IMPORTANT: MUST READ A/N: I'm sorry I haven't been updating much. This will probably be the only chapter for at least until May. I'm going to be moving in a few weeks and starting a new school. So yeah. I'm moving April 4th so I'll trany and update again before that. I might not tho, because I've got like 20 projects and MCAS

Percy's POV

I woke up in the sewer, the small boy with curly hair was still there. He was sleeping, I packed up my things and started walking.

"Hey!" I heard, "Wait up."

I turned and saw him running towards me.

"Do you want some help? I've lived here my whole life."

"Yeah, sure." I said,

"Ok, but if we're going to work together you should know my name. I'm Leo, Leo Valdez."

"Ok. I'll give myself a last name, now my name is Percy Jackson." (A/N: Sorry, I had to add in the Jackson part because the books are called Percy Jackson)

 Suddenly the pipe rumbled.

"RUN!" I shouted, there was a growl and glowing red eyes appeared in the shadows. Enormous black rottweiler larger than a tank bounded out of the darkness. Leo took some weird contraption out of hi pocket and I grabbed the pen that was given to me with the boat ticket. Leo gave me a look,

"Really, a pen?"

"Yeah. It turns into a sword."

Leo threw the contraption at the dog, toothpaste exploded in its face. I took the opportunity and plunged my sword beneath it's ribcage. The dog disintegrated into gold dust. I looked at Leo, he grinned and pumped his fist into the air.

"Wait."

There was more growling and ten more of the dogs stepped out of the shadows.

"LEO, RUN!"

we took off through the sewer pipe, the dogs not far behind. Leo threw one of his grenades behind us, it hit the ground and exploded in flames. Three of the dogs, now dubbed 'Hellhounds', turned into gold dust. I held the manhole cover open for Leo, he scrambled through. I followed him, the hellhounds couldn't follow us through. Or that's what we thought, they disappeared and reappeared on the sidewalk. I slashed and jabbed with my sword and Leo had taken a hammer from his belt which had an assortment of tools on it. Soon another two hellhounds were reduced to dust.

"Nice," I said,

"You too." Leo panted,

The rest of the day rushed by, it was full of looking around corners and tiptoeing though who knows what.

We were both exhausted, so we decided to crash inside one of 24-hour diners. I still had $10 and we got some food. Finally we passed out, the adrenalin was no longer coursing through mine, or Leo's, veins. When I woke up the next morning I hit my head on the table where Leo and I had slept last night. Leo was on the opposite seat as me. I shook him awake,

"Where now?" he asked,

"We should not stay here, there were too many monsters to fight yesterday and somebody probably sent those dogs."

Leo looked at me like I was crazy,

"Maybe we should split up, I mean this is where I grew up, I've never left Texas. I'd like to stay here as long as possible. I'll see you around?"

"See you around." I promised. We parted ways, I headed Northeast while Leo headed the opposite direction.

~Time skip because I can, about 3 months~

Eventually I got to New York. It was smaller than I thought, I was in Manhattan but I'd have to leave soon. I'd been there for almost three weeks. Two more weeks until I turned twelve. I accidentally walked into kid a few years older than me,

"Sorry." I mumbled,

He shrugged it off. The kid had curly light brown hair and a wispy beard. He was wearing a rasta cap and a shirt with the recycling symbol on it. He introduced himself as Grover Underwood, he was from Long Island and was here for the weekend. He hung out with me for the rest of the day. He was about to go home when when a snake women slithered out from the shadows.

"Run." I said, Grover looked like he had realized something. Once I had banished the snake women he grabbed me and started running.

"Where are we going?!?!" I asked,

"Long Island, there's a camp for people like you there. Camp Half-Blood."
