Chapter one: The stranger
Charlie's P.O.V.
It's a nice summer day in the Kingdom and I hope nothing ruins it. The sun's shine brushes onto my face as a smile is plastered on my face. Walking around I see the barracks where the soldiers train. I didn't mention it but there's a war going on and we need as much men and women as we can handle. In most Kingdoms it's only the men who fight but I've never believed that, I believe if someone wants to do their part in the war then I'll let them do their part in the war. Will has been acting quite strangely or at least. I walk around more and find myself at the gate. My eyes catch someone at the gate and their stuff is being checked. It's a rule I gave the Kingdom... If there's someone approaching the Kingdom the Guards must take a look at their possessions to make sure they aren't carrying anything dangerous or illegal. I really wouldn't want to be found out with illegal possessions in my Kingdom, I care a great deal about my image and the image of my Kingdom as I'm sure other kings and Queens do as well. Jack will be having a meeting with me and I hope things go well.
I look around and see horses dragging carriages full of things like medicine, weapons and whatever else there is for what we need for war. All this worries ne and I only hope the war ends. Even though I'm thinking about war I still find myself thinking about Will. Everytime he's around me he gets all odd and looks away the second I look at him, I really can't understand him anymore. Perhaps I could talk to him about it but it's probably not going to be easy since people don't particularly like being forced to spit out how they feel, I wouldn't like that either, sounds way too stressful. Anywho, I'm going back to my castle since I can't be outside watching the world around me now can I? I mean, I am the King after all. The Guards I have to protect me take me to the castle and the last thing I look at before I enter the castle is look at the catapults. So dangerous yet I yearn for peace to exist and I love those catapults. They've always fascinated me and I'd rather them not to be removed. It's possibly nothing and just a normal fascination with those things.
Will's P.O.V.
I walk in this forest and refuse to have Guards with me. Sure, it's something strange but there's no need for me to be guarded since I have the eyes of the Illusionist. I don't even need a weapon along my side. The only problem walking alone and unguarded I can see is if the enemy sneaks up on me from behind but since I'm a King they'd probably recognize me even from the back. They'd probably recognize me due to the purple pigment in thestrands of my hair, I'm wearing royal clothes and I'm also wearing a crown and I don't see any reason why anyone would assassinate me. I'm actually making it back to the Kingdom with no worries whatsoever. The sound of bees are buzzing but just as long as I don't react or touch one they won't sting me but even if they tried I could manipulate them so they wouldn't even go near me. The forest's thickness seems to be disappearing and I can see more light as I'm arriving to my Kingdom which is completely bustling with life. The Guards see me and open the gate with no questions at all. In the distance I see a group camping on the ground but I don't mind.
As I walk I see a soldier pushing along a wheelbarrow and in that wheelbarrow I see it has sheets which are stained crimson and with dirt marks... The are dead bodies in that wheelbarrow, it's all because of the war. When you hear about corpses in books or folk stories, when you see a corpse in reality it just makes you want to break down and cry so much and so hard you want to scream at the world. Since the war is recent you'd think I'd be trying to get used to the thought of corpses getting wheelbarrowed around to the morgue in my city.
(Sorry I didn't post soon. I was a bit afraid. My friend said maybe I should concentrate on only a few fanfics, so this didn't come out early. Sorry.)
