It was a chaotic week for both the packs. The head warrior of both packs were trying to gather maximum information about Randall and the two betas were given the responsibility to make a contact with Mark. Valerie and Cayden were conducting multiple meetings with the alphas of the neighboring packs and all of them were shocked after hearing that some of their teenagers were getting targeted by Randall.

All the alphas decided to interrogate their teenagers and they were left in shock when they heard how much information these young adults have given to Randall regarding their packs and the way the werewolves work. They were conducting this interrogation in the open field in no man's land, a large open area present between the Stalwart warrior pack and midnight pack. When the respective alphas asked these teenagers why they provided the crucial information they learned that the hunters were threatening them. The teenagers told them that they were getting blackmailed by those notorious hunters that they will kill either their mate or their family members and that they are under surveillance 24*7. The most vulnerable and weakest of the teenagers were selected, who could be broken down mentally and psychologically.

"How can they know what they are doing all the time?" Valerie asked no one in particular.

All the alphas looked towards each other in confusion, because no one actually had an answer.

"I might have a theory." Charles who accompanied Valerie and Kevin said. Valerie prompted him to continue which he did and said. "I think they have installed microchip in their body."

"But that will not work in a werewolf body." Cayden replied. "We are built that way, any foreign object will get destroyed by our skin."

 What if they knew that thing and somehow they managed to make some sort of chip that is resistant to the werewolf defense system." Charles suggested

"Then how can we check?" One of the alphas asked.

"In my laboratory." Charles replied.

"You can check one of your teenagers then before experimenting on ours."

"I am afraid not. Our teenagers were never captured and the one who was targeted managed to escape." Valerie replied.

"Of course, how can they capture the teenager of Stalwart warrior pack." Jack, one of the alphas replied. "There is no place for weak there."

"Excuse me!" Valerie asked offended. "I train every individual equally and I make sure that my so-called weakest is given more hard training so that they become equal to the strong and can save each other from any harm." She roared.

Jack flinched in fear when Valerie replied to him like a true alpha. Cayden was up in a minute and he started stroking her back to calm her wolf down. Valerie took deep breaths and said calmly. "I am very sensitive for my pack. You all know how much I care for my people. If my people survive whilst yours drown then it is your negligence as an alpha. I command them but I also love them. There is nothing close to torture done to them in my pack as you very clearly implied, Jack. I am helping you all. If you will continue to challenge my authority I will withdraw my services then you can deal with Randall by yourself for all I care."

A look of horror was seen on everyone's face. Jake was regretting opening his mouth, he wanted to rectify his mistake by apologizing but if he will feel sorry he will look weak in front of everyone. But he was saved from the embarrassment when Cayden meddled.

"Ahem." Cayden cleared his throat. "Now if you all agree we can move forward and let Charles help us. I suggest we go to the alpha Valerie's pack.

Jason and Ryder were following Mark for the last week and now was their only chance to grab him and ask him all they wanted to know because he was alone in the restaurant eating his steak.

"How can he eat so calmly?" Ryder asked irately. Jason who was watching Mark like a hawk looked towards Ryder and shushed him and whispered. "He is on the move. We will catch him in the alleyway behind the restaurant. You will check the perimeter for any sign of hunters and I will grab him."

"Don't forget he is a werewolf and be careful." Ryder said.

"But he is no beta," Jason replied.

"We don't know that for sure. He left his pack and went rogue." Ryder said.

"Okay, I will be more careful," Jason replied.

Once Mark paid his check and went outside, Jason and Ryder came into action. They were following him like a ninja. Ryder was making sure no one is following and watching them and have any kind of knowledge of what they are on to. When Mark was about to exit the alleyway Jason suddenly grabbed him from the nape of his neck and put pressure on his jugulars. Mark was not so quick, Jason swirled him around and punched him in the gut causing Mark to bend over.

"I need you to remain silent and calm if you don't want a dose of wolfsbane in your system," Jason said. Mark nodded and Jason took him by his collar and walked near the dumpster where the light was less.

"Alpha Valerie and alpha Cayden wishes to meet you," Jason said.

"I can't risk my cover," Mark replied.

"Oh, he got captured so easily. At least we know he is no beta." Ryder who was few steps behind them said while joining them.

"I was a head  warrior." Mark growled.

"A warrior head who got captured so easily." Ryder scoffed.

"I could not have used my full strength of werewolf. I am enacting as human."

Jason and Ryder looked towards each other. "And I can't come with you," Mark replied which caused both of them to look towards him.

"It is the alpha's orders." Ryder replied.

Mark opened his mouth to say something but Jason beat him to it. "You can't deny alpha's orders, rogue or no rogue. You chose not to live with the werewolf community but the alpha's orders are to be followed by each and every werewolf." Mark knew the laws. So he nodded and agreed to visit the alphas.

When they reached the stalwart warrior pack they went to Valerie's office and found it empty. One of the warriors told Jason that all the alphas including alpha Valerie are conducting a meeting in the community hall. Jason along with Ryder decided to go there leaving behind Mark sitting in Valerie's office.

When they entered the hall they saw that a heated discussion was taking place in the room. All the alphas were sitting on the large table, Cayden saw them and gestured them to come forward.

"We have him." Ryder informed his alpha. Cayden and Valerie looked towards each other. Before they could get up and accompany Jason and Ryder, Charles entered and said. "I was right. They implanted micro chip in the skin of these young warriors. They can track them down easily and the biochips are made in such a way that the werewolf system can not flush it out of the body."

"But they can't hear us." One of the alphas asked.

"No they can't but they do know all the time where they are and what they are doing. In a way, they know the blueprint of your respective packs." Charles replied.

"So let us remove them." The same alpha suggested.

"No, we can't." Valerie interjected. "We can't let them know that we know about their plan. We need to gather more information about these hunters and then we will strike and we will strike hard."

"I agree." Cayden said. "So let us meet here after three days. We will make some sort of plan. We have a lead that I and Valerie are going to follow. If everything turned out to be normal we will let you know all."

All the alphas agreed and they left for their respective packs. Once everyone was out, the two alphas along with the two betas and Kevin decided to go to the office and have a chat with Mark.

When all of them entered the office they saw Mark sitting on the sofa and fidgeting anxiously. He stood up when he saw everyone in the office. A sense of power was felt by his wolf and his wolf wanted to surrender to these powerful alphas. Upon seeing him a new kind of rage-filled Cayden. He was angry with the fact that Mark was not loyal as a mate to Scarlet.

Mark felt the rage and he could feel the anger oozing out of Cayden. He decided to tread carefully. So he bent his head as a submission and said. "It is so nice to meet you alpha Cayden and alpha Valerie."

Cayden growled in anger. Valerie took his hand in hers and smiled looking at him. "Why don't you sit down? We have few questions that we would like you to answer."

"Starting with the fact, that, you left your mate alone to die." Cayden snarled.

"I could not let them find out that I was a werewolf too." Mark replied.

"So you left her to die. You punched her in the gut and beat her to death." Cayden bellowed. Mark's eyes opened in shock.

"Did she make it? Is she alive?" He asked.

"Barely." Valerie replied while stroking Cayden's back to calm him down.

"Then how do you guys know what happened there?" Mark asked flabbergasted

"We will see how much information to share with you once we know how much you are ready to help us. Shall we start then?" She said while taking her chair and gesturing Mark to sit. The rest also took their respective seats and looked towards him in anticipation.

"What have you found so far?" Valerie asked.

"Randall and Azazel are trying their level best to find your mother and your sister." He said and a gasp left Valerie's mouth.

"They know that they are not with me?" She asked perplexed.

"Yes, they do." He replied.

"How?" she asked again

"They are using young vampires as their spies. You know vampires know how to hide in plain sight. I am not very sure whether or not my cover is still intact."

"So you mean they are continually spying on us?" Cayden asked

"Yes, and, if you want to defeat that mastermind, start by defeating those young vampires." Mark said

A look of horror was shared by the two alphas. They are more gullible to his plans than they thought. 

"Why don't you start from the beginning and tell us everything that you know." Cayden asked.

And so for hours they investigated Mark and asked him gazillion questions. They were shocked after learning how cruel and evil Randall was. They were not at all prepared for him. They needed to up their game. Mark informed them that when Cayden destroyed some of his camps, he was not at all bothered. He pretended to be apprehensive and worried. In reality, destroying some of his weapons did not cause any worry to him. He wanted them to think that they have managed to rattle him because you will think that you have weakened him and you will lower your guards. While in reality, he would be preparing for things far worse and scary.

"We need to play smart and neat," Valerie said. "He is the evil mastermind."

"We should check with your mother and sister first," Cayden suggested.

"No, that is what he wants. He wants me to contact them and in that way, he will get some sort of clue for their location. I can't risk that."

"But how will we know that they are safe." Cayden asked

"We don't but we hope that moon goddess is protecting them and keeping them safe. If he had them, he would not have left any chance to show off that."

She stood up from her chair and looked towards Mark solemnly. "You will be our eyes and ears. We will make sure that you enter his inner circle. But if you dare betray us you will wish that you were not born boy." Mark gulped and nodded.

"Call Autumn," She said looking towards Jason. "I want to make sure that he is on our side."

Jason nodded and left. After few minutes he returned with Autumn. Mark's mouth was left open when he saw Autumn. "You look so much like Azazel." He said.

"I know," Autumn replied. "Because she is my mother."

Mark looked surprised towards Autumn and then towards Valerie.

"It is a long story," Valerie replied. "But first let us see whether you are telling us the truth or working as a spy for the Randall."
