"I will be there tonight, don't worry." Cayden spoke to the person on the other end of the line. "I know the situation is critical, that is why I will bring the best of my warriors. And yes you can trust me."

Cayden sighed after listening to what the other person has to say and replied. "You are my friend Alex. I have abandoned Canada but I haven't abandoned my friends. If I have said that I will be there that means I will be there."

Satisfied the person disconnected the call.

"In my absence you will be the in-charge Ryder."

"Is it really necessary?" Ryder asked. "Can't I accompany you or go in your place. The pack needs you more than me."

"You know Alex is my good friend." Cayden replied.

"But what about tomorrow, the committee will come at Stalwart warrior pack.

"You can attend to it. It's just a political agenda. We have selected the two people to infiltrate the government and we have to just introduce them."

"What about alpha Valerie?" Ryder asked.

"What about her?" Cayden asked.

"Should I inform her about your where about?"

"She won't bother after what I have done but in case she asks tell her the truth. Now, I will leave in ten minutes. Make sure all the warriors are prepared. If everything turned out to be good, I will return day after tomorrow."

Cayden picked his phone to call Valerie while driving towards Dawson. It was long eighteen hour drive from Bridgeville. He opened Valerie's contact to dial but before it could ring he disconnected and locked his phone. He had tried to contact her for the past two weeks and all he got was silence from her side. He knew he was wrong and what he did, shows that he is weak but he could not punish Scarlett for loving him and doing wrong out of jealousy. He knew his heart was wining over his brain.

He was driving for three hours without taking any pit stop when his phone started ringing. When he saw the caller he could not believe his eyes, it was Valerie. He saw the time it was three o'clock in the morning. His first thought was that she is in danger so he immediately picked the call and asked.

"Are you alright? Is there any threat to your life?"

"I am completely fine. My tracker informed me that you have left the pack boundary. I just wanted to know if there is any sort of urgency?."

Cayden smiled at her concern and replied with some sort of happiness. "I am going to Dawson to help one of my friends. His pack is attacked by the hunters thrice and he is afraid that if they will attack for the fourth time, he won't be able to tackle them. So I am taking my enforcements with me to help them."

"Will you be safe?" Valerie asked in concern.

"I will be as safe as one is in a battle." Cayden replied happily as she was still showing concern towards him.

Valerie sighed and asked. "You are a strong alpha and I don't doubt you and I know you will be fine. What about tomorrow's meeting?"

"Ryder will attend it for me."

They exchanged some last words before ending their conversation and disconnected the call.

Next day the meeting went well and both packs were able to make a deal with government officials and they accepted two werewolves from each pack in their political party. After the meeting Ryder asked Valerie to meet him in private which she obliged.

"Try to forgive him alpha Valerie. I know what Scarlett did was treachery and what alpha Cayden did was unacceptable. But imagine punishing someone who was with you since you were in your diapers. He considers her as his sister. Scarlett did everything to win his love and he blames himself for her wrong doings.

"Making tough decisions is a part of being an alpha. He showed weakness and he sort of betrayed his neighboring alpha and his mate. Atleast he should realize it." Valerie spoke as a matter of fact.

It was two days since Cayden has left for Canada. Valerie did not show any emotion but she was worried about him. After all he was in a battle. She knew that he was alive because her bond was still strong. She wanted to call him or Ryder but she did not because she did not want to betray her pack members. Mystic Moon did wrong and Stalwart warrior made a decision of not being it's ally anymore. But as a mate her wolf was craving for Cayden.

It was months since they had last tasted the fruit of desire and she was missing his physical contact. But she knew she can't show weakness of any sort.

That evening she was working in her office when Jason came to inform her that alpha Cayden is back and wanted to meet her for some official purpose. A wave of happiness was felt in her whole body but she controlled her emotions and asked Jason to send him inside nonchalantly.

When Cayden entered she looked towards him with a desire so strong that it could melt the hardest material on Earth. Cayden felt it too. He gulped his salvia and cleared his throat to maintain his composure. Valerie too shook herself to bring herself out of the desire.

"Alpha." Cayden said. The formality of his tone broke her trance and she sat erect to talk business. Cayden told her everything he learned about hunters in Canada. Valerie could not understand why she was getting excited and aroused with the way he was talking so passionately about his battle.

She could not stop herself anymore. She stood up and walked where Cayden was sitting. She grasped him by his hair and smashed her lips on his. His beast did not like the dominance that his mate showed. He growled and pulled her towards himself and made her sit on his lap and then kissed her passionately. He bit her lips so hard that blood oozed out of it.

Cayden used his tongue skillfully making her moan in contentment. She changed her position and sat with legs wide open on his lap in a way that she was able to grind her sexual parts on his. This caused his member to get excited and he too grinded appreciatively.

Cayden left her lips to kiss her neck. He bit his mark once again. That was Valerie's undoing. She grasped his shirt and tore it open. She started kissing his chest passionately. Cayden could not take it anymore. He picked her up and laid her down on the couch. He removed her shirt and jeans alongwith her inner wear followed by his remaining clothes.

He entered her without any prior warning that caused her to yelp in pain as she was celibate for one month and was not used to his size.

He started moving mercilessly and harshly. With every stroke he punished her for keeping his wolf at bay from his mate. His dominance excited her more causing her to bite him at his exposed skin. Within minutes together they reached their high and climaxed. They were both panting after the effect wore off.

"You were so harsh." Valerie complained after their escapade.

"Try being at my place, I did not touch you, talked with you or saw you for one month. Your silence killed me every second of every day."

"You were wrong. You are wrong." Valerie replied.

"I don't want to talk about it." Cayden said exasperated.

"But I do. We can't move forward till we sort it out. What if I had sex with Alexei and you wanted to punish him and I had denied the very thing."

Cayden growled in warning. "That is completely different situation."

"How is it different? I just kissed him and you wanted to destroy him and what Scarlett did had put my life and my pack's life in danger. That is a treachery against one's mate. So how will having sex with Alexei will be any different?"

Cayden growled and kissed her again. "Stop using words sex and Alexei in same sentence." Cayden warned.

"Why?" She asked defiantly.

Cayden grasped her by her hair and kissed her with dominance. He threw her backwards and made her lie on her stomach and pulled her upwards to enter her. He moved inside her very harshly to show the dominance to her and that she was his and only his.

Valerie moaned in ecstasy as her wolf liked the dominance showed by her mate. He made her lie on her back and entered her once again and moved fast and harshly. She climaxed followed by Cayden and they both sighed in bliss.
