You were always there with a smile
When immaturity I couldn’t handle
              

Preteens were we?
When we collided together in class,
Instant hate that’s what I felt,
Never befriend boys, that’s all I knew.

Teenage was it?
When I saw you in a deviant way,
Instant friendship, can’t say it,
This one might long last, that’s all I hoped.

Time spun fast did it?
When we grew up together slowly,
Instant fights and brawls, we would do,
In the name of affection, that’s all I would call.

Three of us were we?
When it became two of us,
Instant lifetime bonding, of you and me,
Study and spend time together, that’s all that mattered.

Competitors became we?
When we would top in various creative things,
Instant competition, we would engage in,
Either loose or win, that’s all was there to the option.

Vicissituded did I?
When we grew up into sixteens
Instant clash of views, would transpire,
You didn’t grow up like I did, that’s all I would qualm on.

Went without talking did we?
When one opinion we couldn’t accept,
Instant crack in friendship,
I will loose you, that’s all I would feel contrite of.

We became friends again, didn’t we?
When I gave you a hand, and you took it,
Instant promises of perpetuality ,
We would be together, that’s all I vowed.

You felt like I'm light and you’re shadow?
When I surpassed you in various things,
Instant thought of loosing me,
You would feel when alone, that’s all I would disquiet about.

It didn’t crop up, did it?
When time went on, yet together were we
Constant guffaw on our idiotic and weird life
Even then act immature, that’s all we still do

8 years is it?
To the longest friendship I have engaged in,
Our creative mind and love for each other
Is what holding it still.

You have been always there with me
When I had nowhere where I could belong
