William and Bella were at the threshold of a magic portal that would grant them freedom from their struggles. Time was of essence there. They had fled from feuding families, fought dragons and hitch-hiked across galaxies in spaceships. Theirs was an unconventional love-story spanning across worlds and time-arcs,. They were never meant to fall in love, not to be together, not destined. They had to sacrifice something they held precious to please the God Daniel present on the threshold. Nothing was dear to them than life itself and they were ready--ready to take the final call. Hand-in-hand, they stepped inside the portal. William pushed Bella on the altar, where Dan was already waiting, killing her.

William was under a death-curse which could only be provoked by the sacrifice of pure love. Bella truly loved William even if he couldn't love her back. She was aware she was just a means to an end--an option, never the real deal. And she was ready to be sacrificed--that's what love truly is. William had loved and only loved Katherine, the daughter of God Daniel. As promised, Dan happily married-off his daughter Katherine to William.
