Cole's stomach growled as he laid in bed.
"You hungry?" Peter asked, his head resting on Cole's chest.
"Yeah. Why don't I go make us some food?" Cole asked, trying to sit up.
"Nooooo. Stay with me!" Peter whined, holding onto him.
"Mmph, just for a little while. I wanna go eat something." Cole said, laying back down as Peter clinged onto him.
Rubbing his hand on Peter's arm, the one that gripped onto him tightly, as if he'd disappear, leaving forever.
"If you get really hungry, I know something you could ea-" Peter spoke up, with a sudden courage, that was immediately interrupted by the bedroom door opening.
"Uh, Cole. You have a- visitor." Cindy said, motioning towards the front door then walking away.
"Um, okay then." Cole said confused, glancing at Peter who had a shocked look. Staring up at him with wide eyes.
Why we're they always interrupted!?
Cole got out of bed and went down to the front door to see who this visitor was.
"Oh... h-hi." Cole said surprised, seeing a familiar talk man standing by the door.
"What are you doing here, dad?" He asked curiously.
"Well, uh... I'm trying to come over more and see you, plus there's something I wanted to ask you." William explained. Staring up and down at Cole, who was still wearing pajamas.
"O-okay then." Cole stuttered, still a bit confused and slightly worried about what he was about to ask.
He's actually trying to be a good father. That thought made Cole smile. But it still felt more like a question.
"You can come in, y'a know. You don't have to just stand there awkwardly." Cole laughed lightly.
"Oh, right." William smiled nervously. It still felt weird for him, being back in this house.
"So huh, what'd you wanna ask me?" Cole asked, walking over to the couch.
Both of them sitting down next to each other.
"Well, there's this business meeting, event, get together thing. Whatever." He shrugged. "Anyways, I thought it would be nice for you to go with me. We could spend some time together." William gave a small smile.
"Business meeting?... but that's boooring." Cole crossed his arms, leaning back onto the couch.
William frowned at him, his arm resting on the back of the couch.
"Come on, it won't be that bad."
"Then why do you want someone to go with you?" Cole asked jokingly, tilting his head.
William looked away, shutting his mouth.
"I- uh..." He gulped, shaking his head. "Why don't you just go with me?"
Cole grinned. "I'm just messing with you. I guess I could go, I'm not really busy or anything." He shrugged.
"But it's probably gonna be boring huh?"
"Yeah, definitely." William said in a monotone voice then they both chuckled together.
"Oh and- you'll have to dress up."
"What!? Whyyyyy." Cole complained.
Peter suddenly appeared in front of them.
"What we talkin' about?" He asked innocently, like a little kid. Standing there, glancing between us.
"Oh uh, he wants me to go to a important business thing." Cole explained, motioning his head towards William.
"Ooh... boring." Peter lost interest.
"Yeah... that's what I said." Cole agreed.
Peter sat next to Cole, snuggling up to him.
Cole wrapped his arm around him, kissing his forehead.
Breathing in his scent, immediately calming down as he held him.
"Can I bring him?" Cole asked jokingly.
"Uh, no. I can only bring one person anyways." William explained.
"Eh, I hate get togethers." Peter mumbled against Cole's chest. "I don't like big groups of people."
"Yeah, I know." Cole grinned, shaking his head. Running his fingers through Peter's curls.
"Mm, can you make me some food? I'm hungry!" Peter complained, sleepily holding onto Cole.
"Sure, baby. What do want?" He asked, lovingly looking at his boyfriend as he played with his hair. Twirling his ginger curls around his finger.
They were so loving and gentle to each other, understanding in a way that- William never felt. He watched them as they sweet talked each other, snuggling together. Was he ever like that? Had he ever felt that way before?
"I dunno what I want, just make me something." Peter said sleepily.
Cole sighed. "Alright. I love you." Gently kissing his forehead then getting up.
Peter already missed his touch, longing for him to come back. Instead of cuddling with him, he held onto a pillow until Cole was done cooking and they could sit together again.
William felt lonely and cold inside, he had never loved like that. Had he?
Him and Cindy had fallen in love, gotten married and had a kid. But then, things went wrong. Something changed.
Was he even fit to be a father? A husband? Did he even mean anything to anyone?
As memories came up, William pushed them away. Standing up, adjusting his clothes then saying his goodbyes before he left.
"Cole, I'm going to get going." He motioned towards the door.
"Alright. When's the event thingy?" Cole asked.
"Uh, this Friday. But we'll need to get you a suit first." William explained.
"Suit? But I already have one." Cole thought.
"Yeah... let's just get you a new one. Okay? Just to be- sure." William said slowly.
"Ugh, fine." Cole groaned. "Do you want to stay and eat?" He asked, hoping he'd stay longer.
"No thanks, I have to get going. I'll see you soon." He smiled, then left.
—
The next day, getting a suit,
"Wow. This looks- g-great. I can't remember the last time I had something tailored..." Cole said.
Thoughts about his life before flashed through his mind. He did remember those days...
Those days when, family used to dress up, attend events, they had a lot of money and showed it off, but- there was a lot of dark things that happened inside. Things no one knew about, until now.
His father would dress him up and drag him to important business I'm events, pretending to be a happy family. While his mother looked like a trophy wife, a barbie, as if made of plastic. Standing by an abusive at man, smiling as she hid the truth.
"Cole?" William spoke up, snapping him out of his trance.
"Hmm?" He mumbled, looking towards him.
"I think it looks good. And having a good suit around is handy." William said.
"Do you ever wear anything that doesn't need to be starched or ironed?" Cole asked sarcastically.
"Uh... n-not really." William said shyly.
"You look hot!" Peter announced loudly.
"Oh. Th-thanks." Cole smiled shyly. Stepping down the small stand to walk over to him.
"You like it?"
"Yeah, it's nice." Peter said quietly, staring at the suit, holding onto it.
"But I think you look hot." He said proudly.
Cole gulped, flustered. Peter smirked at him, how fun and easy it was to tease him.
Peter tugged on his suit, pulling him into a kiss.
Cole was shocked at the sudden affection. Since when was Peter so- out there?
He'd gotten a lot more confident over time.
The kiss was deep and passion, making Cole weak, frozen in place. Peter pulled away, staring up at him with a devious smirk.
Cole stared into Peter's eyes, still stunned at the kiss he had just got.
Peter gave him a quick peck. "I looove you." He giggled, letting him go.
They were so busy in their own world, they had forgotten that William was there. Glancing over to see him turned away, awkwardly pacing to avoid them.
They glanced back at each other. "Uh... I guess we should get going." Peter said quietly.
"Y-yeah..." Cole agreed.
William drove them back home, it was a little awkward but- they didn't mind. They were to busy thinking of each other.
And what they'd do when they got back home...
in bed.

It was now Friday, Cole was busy getting ready for the event. Carefully putting on his suit, as not to crease it.
He caught Peter staring at him in the mirror.
"What you looking at?"
"Mm, a really hot guy. With a nice ass." Peter smirked, laying back on the bed, his feet hanging off.
Cole's eyebrows raised. "Oh? Really huh... how hot is this guy?" He asked, finishing the top button on his shirt.
"Mmm. Well- I'd bang him." He smirked, looking him up and down seductively.
Cole choked on the air, caught off guard by the sudden statement.
"Aww. Can't handle anything in your mouth, can you? Poor thing, always choking on something." Peter teased, walking over to him. Putting his little hands on Cole's muscular arms.
Cole's eyes widened, blushing and stumbling on his words. "I-I-I- Uh- wh-wha- ahem."
"Oooh. Your sooo, sooo, easy." Peter smirked, wrapping his arms around Cole. He was slightly leaning over, his hands onto the dresser, making him a bit lower, easier for Peter to reach his ear. Whispering seductive things to him.
"Why don't you stay here a bit longer? I have some ideas on what we could do..." Peter whispered. Their eyes connected in the mirror, both flustered.
Peter quickly reached his hand down, making Cole whimper.
"P-Peter, I'm ugh- I'm supposed to be g-getting ready." Cole stuttered.
"Mmm. But do you really have too? I'm sure you have time to spare." Peter pouted. "For me?"
"Hmm? Please? Cole? Your my boyfriend, your supposed to take care of me." Peter begged, making Cole weak, shaking under his touch.
"We- Uh... we don't have t-time for this right now." Cole muttered.
"Oh come on. I know you can get off quick." Peter winked.
Cole's blush deepened, turning his face bright red. Peter's hand firmly grabbed onto Cole, slowly rubbing him through his pants.
"Mm-hmph." Cole bit his lip to hold in the moans he so desperately wanted to scream out.
"Seriously, Peter. I-" He gulped. "I h-have to get ready and leave soon." His voice wavered.
"Mm, mm. No you don't. Your mine." Peter's voice deepened, whispering it in his ear. Nibbling on his ear, leaving kisses down his neck, until they were cut off by the shirt.
"Let me take care of you, hmm? You deserve it." Peter said lovingly.
"Let me love you."
Cole glanced at the clock. "Peter. It's almost 5 pm already. I have to get going." He said firmly.
"Mmmmm. But I don't want you to leave." Peter whined, hugging onto him. "Pleeeease don't leave. Please?" He pouted, using his big puppy dog eyes.
Cole turned around. "I have to get going. But I'll be back soon. Okay?" He said softly.
Peter frowned.
"Hey. It'll be okay. You can go read one of your books or something." Cole smiled, holding up his chin.
"I love you." Looking deeply into his eyes as he said it. Giving him a quick kiss.
"Ughhhh ahah! Fine." Peter yelled into Cole's chest, muffling it. Firmly pressing his head against him. "Fine. But you better make it up to me." His eyes flashed up to Cole's.
Cole smirked, glancing down then back up at him.
"I will. I promise."
"Good." Peter said, leaning in for another kiss. Keeping it soft and sweet, but longing for more.
"Okay. Now I really need to get going." Cole said, realizing the time.
"Your the one that put it off last minute." Peter crossed his arms.
"Me!? Your the one that wouldn't let me leave your side. Your the one that trapped me in bed, begging me to stay." His voice deepened, slightly tilting his head and narrowing his eyes at Peter.
Peter looked away. "Hmph. It's not my fault I always wanna be with you, idiot."
Cole chuckled lightly. "I love you too. Idiot."
Giving him a quick hug, resting his head on top of his.
"But..."
"What?" Peter asked confused, leaning into his arms.
"You just had to give me a boner before I left, huh? Mm, it's so obvious in this suit. That's why I don't like wearing them." Cole complained.
Peter blushed. "Mm. Sorry about that. I just couldn't help it." Pulling out of the hug.
"But... I like it. Besides, you can see your boner in any clothes." Peter said seductively, looking into his eyes.
"I love it. But it's even better to feel." His deep and desperate, rubbing his hand on it.
"U-ah. P-Peter... what did I just say?" Cole asked.
"Oh come on! You've probably finished already." Peter said, glancing down.
"No. But- I- I really don't want to mess up this suit. Or my underwear, okay?" He said, grabbing Peter's hands.
"Just wait. Be patient."
Peter groaned, flopping down face first onto the bed. Turning his head to the side to say,
"Fine. But I'll only wait a few hours. So you'll have to be quick if you wanna get lucky."
Cole chuckled. "Alright, baby. I'll try to be home soon." He said, walking closer to the bed.
Pulling up his sleeve slightly, getting an idea. Then using his hand to firmly smack Peter's ass.
"Ug-ah! Hey!" Peter complained, turning his head to face him.
"Well- I thought it'd be good payback. For the boner." Cole explained, glancing down, then winking at him. Leaving the room.
Peter's mouth was still open from shock. Even if the smack hurt a little, it turned him on even more.
Ugh, he better not be gone to long tonight.
—
Cole fixed his suit again, put on his suit jacket, combing his hair. That had really grown out of control now. Grabbing his tie he put it around his neck then quickly realized- he had no clue how to tie it.
Sighing, he walked out of the bathroom. Seeing Peter laying on the bed, distracted by a book.
"I love you, baby. And I'll make it up to you tonight." He smiled, whispering in his ear, then kissing his temple.
"Love you too!" Peter said, still looking at his book, kicking his feet in the air.
"Uh, hey!? I'm still here. That's all your gonna say? Not even look at me again? Or give me a compliment? Hmm." Cole said upset.
"Ugh, and I'm the drama queen?" Peter shook his head. "I love you so much. But your also really hot, so I'm going to distract myself until you get back."
Cole smiled. "Alright. See you later." Walking out of his room. He had used some cold water to cool himself down, taking time so his boner would go away before he went downstairs.
*
He walked downstairs, feeling good, looking handsome. His suit fit him well, showing off his shape, but hiding his scars. The fancy shoes clicked on the floor, making him feel important, like people would stare. This time for a good reason.
"Oooh, don't you look handsome." Cindy smiled, looking at her son.
Cole strutted, giving a spin. "Don't I know it."
He smiled, flashing his white teeth.
"Awww." She smiled, holding a hand to her chest.
"I need pictures!"
"Ugh, mom. It's not like I'm going to prom or anything." Cole rolled his eyes, shaking his head at her excitement.
Grabbing a cold bottle of water out of the fridge, chugging half of it.
"Oh your tie isn't done! Let me help!" She said, quickly shuffling over to fix it.
Messing with it, confusedly.
"Well... never mind." She said, not knowing how to tie it either.
"Ah, I guess I won't be wearing a tie then." Coke shrugged.
"What's this about a tie?" William asked, walking in.
"Oh, hey." Cole nodded.
"Need a hand?" He asked.
"Yeah." Cole said muttered.
William grabbed the tie around his collar, fixing it in place.
"There you go." He smiled lightly.
"Thanks. Dad." Cole said shyly. It still felt weird having him here. Being- father like.
"Ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah." I nodded, hugging my mom then getting into the car with my dad.
"Why did I agree to this?" I said suddenly, questioning if I should just stay here instead. You know- go upstairs with Peter...
"Because you- already said you would. So your stuck with me now." He smiled.
Sighing "Ugh, guess I am." I shrugged.
But seriously rethinking my decision now...
—
After a boring car ride, we were at a tall glass building. I can already guess what it's gonna be like inside.
Ugh, rich people. I can't believe I used to be one.
We stepped out of the car, adjusting our suits. The valet took to the car to be put up and a doorman greeted us.
It's so strange being back in this- kind of world. Coming back from the island was one thing, but... I don't know if I can handle this.
My heart fastened, trying to take deep breaths to relax. I thought about Peter. Holding him in my arms, playing with his hair, rubbing his hand... those thoughts calmed me.
I just couldn't think of him too much.
The room was packed with rich people, all dressed up in fancy suits and dresses. The most uncomfortable shoes and useless bags.
All this for what? What is this- thing even for? Maybe I should have asked before getting involved...
My dad started greeting people, shaking hands, saying hello, introducing me. Over and over and over. To about fifty different people, some quickly moved on as if I didn't exist and others were curious. Almost flirting with us. I guess my dad is single, so... they might know that. But if they knew them, would they even-
Anyways. This definitely isn't the place for a queer person...
Waiters carried around trays of hors d'œuvres and drinks, we grabbed a few things to eat. But I thought they tasted strange, so I avoid most of them.
While my dad was busy talking to someone, my eyes drifted around the room. Seeing little things, nothing the tiniest details. How everyone acted, how they pretended, how clean their clothes were or how many diamonds they wore.
It had become a habit now to notice everything, or ignore everything, becoming invisible. Sometimes it could get overwhelming.
Something in particular caught my eye, one of the waiters. There was some rich guy sitting at a table, complains about something. The waiter nodded in agreement, but obviously was annoyed by the guy.
My eyes drifted down, seeing the waiters hand behind their back, clenched in anger.
Yeah, I don't think I could ever be a waiter.
But as the guy complained, the waiter leaned over, my eyes catching sight of the waiters nice as-
"As I was saying, it's great to be here tonight." Someone said next to me, interrupting my thoughts.
Oh, right. I'm around people. Kinda forgot.
"Alright, I'll see you later." William parted ways with a group of people. Patting Cole's back. "Let's go."
"Go where?" Cole asked confused.
"Away from all theses people..." William muttered under his breathe.
Cole laughed inside, agreeing with him.
They shuffled through the crowd of people, finding a quiet spot. Finally having time to breath, relax. Being around all these stuffy rich people drove us both crazy.
"So why are we here again?" Cole asked, sitting down at a table.
William sighed. "Eh, they make it seem like a big deal, but it's more of a competition, who can show off the most." He said annoyed.
"Wanna sneak out?" Cole asked, leaning closer to him.
"I wish..." He muttered quietly.
People gathered around in groups, talking and showing off. It was so draining. Having to constantly act as if you were perfect, happy.
The night went on, my father spoke to even more people while I stood there awkwardly. Forced to shake hands and smile. Maybe I should of stayed home.
As another man and his wife introduced themselves, my eyesight connected with a familiar face.
Shocked.
Why is he here!? Cole thought, so stunned he couldn't speak.
"And this is our son, Keith." They introduced.
Keith's eyes widened as he saw me. Quickly adjusting his suit, fixing his posture, smiling as he shook William's hand.
"Hello there, sir." Keith smiled.
"Nice to met you. And this is my son, Cole."
William said.
"Uh, nice to met you you." Keith smiled awkwardly, shaking my hand.
"Ahem, same to you." Cole nodded.
Keith stood there, uncomfortably. Holding his hands together, standing silently, zoning out. Almost as if he was trying to become invisible.
While their parents talked Cole observed them.
He didn't know much about Keith's parents. Or even Keith for that matter.
He definitely wasn't acting the same around them, he wasn't himself. Or maybe this was the real him? No, it couldn't be. Why would he be so uncomfortable then?
Keith's parents were dressed nice, stood tall, and sounded very educated in the way they talked. It was strange. Almost like- it was to fake. They couldn't really be like that.
Cole glanced back at Keith.
Or maybe they were... maybe they were just more annoyingly rich people.
I wonder what his life is like at home. What's going on inside his head?
As the night droned on, they finally explained why everyone was gathered here. It was some charity thing, but it's more like robbery.
The way they pretend to care, saying they donate to a good cause. While most of the money is spent on their houses, cars, dresses and suits. The designer shoes and bags, the flashy jewelry...
And the stupid fancy, off white, origami napkins.
While the charity barely got anything.
Ugh. My head hurt, my feet sore, uncomfortable and tired. I should have just stayed home. No wonder my dad wanted me to go with him...
It's so boring!!
Eventually the event started to end, people leaving. We tried to sneak out quickly, but had to say goodbye to fifty something people before we even got to the door.
Getting into the car, slamming the doors closed.
"Ughhh!" We both groaned, leaning back into the seats then looking at each other.
"I'm never doing this again." Cole complained, so drained he might fall asleep standing. How could you not with those conversations?
"Agreed." William said, driving them away from the building.
Looking at the cars clock, 9:57 pm. How did time past so slowly inside but so quick outside!?
Cole leaned his head against the window, trying to find a comfortable position. He closed his eyes with a yawn, then tried to drift off into sleep.
"We're here." William said, nudging Cole gently.
"H-hmm-huh." Cole mumbled incoherently.
"Why don't you try sleeping in a bed instead?" William said jokingly, seeing Cole scrunched up in the car. That couldn't be comfortable.
William smiled as he looked at Cole.
The fact that they had spent time together and now Cole relax near him- that hasn't happened in a long time.
"Wake up, Cole." William said, nudging him again.
"Go lay down and get some sleep."
Cole stretched out, as far as he could in the cramped car. "Mmph... fine." He mumbled.
Looking over at his dad. "Wanna carry me?" He asked jokingly.
"Ha... no." William shook his head.
Cole yawned. "How rude. But I don't think I can walk. I'm to tired." He said, rubbing his eyes.
William yawned. "Hey, your making me yawn now!"
Cole smiled. "Alright. Goodnight, dad." He said tiredly.
Stumbling out of the car and into the house.
"Goodnight, son." William said then drove away.
—
Cole unlocked the door, using his key. Good thing he had it, his mom was probably asleep already.
It would suck to be locked outside right now and he didn't feel like climbing into a window this time.
He looked up to see his mom on the couch, asleep. As he walked closer he noticed that Peter was sleeping too.
Both of them covered in blankets, snacks on the table and a movie playing on the tv.
Peter was snuggled up in the blanket, leaning against the side of the couch. His face smushed into it, with his messy curls in the way.
Cole gently brushing them away, leaning over him. He placed a soft kiss on his fore head.
Smiling at his precious boyfriend.
Then going to the kitchen to get some water.
He was so tired but still thirsty and a bit hungry.
Eh, he eat later.
Chugging some cold water, he headed up to his room. Finally able to take this suit off.
He went to the bathroom first, even though he felt like falling onto the floor and sleeping.
After he peed, he washed his hands and looked at himself. Damn he looked tired and bored. A whole night of standing around.
Finally headed to bed, he rubbed his eyes, stretching out his arms with a big yawn.
Then suddenly being jumped on.
. . .
