Cole's pov
<><><><>

"Ughhhh!" I grumbled, tossing and turning in the bed.

Peter sighed, "You good?" He said annoyed.

"I can't sleep!" I mumbled into my pillow.

"If you suffocate, you'll sleep." Peter said jokingly but the monotone voice didn't make it seem that way. He turned over, away from me.

"Mmmm." I groaned into my pillow.
Why can't I sleep!? Ugh. This heat!

While I've missed the warm weather, trying to sleep was becoming a challenge yet again.
It's to hot to sleep, sweating constantly, and I can't even get comfortable without a blanket.

Plus sharing a bed means more warmth, between all the pillows, blankets and Peter, it's just... ughhh, miserably hot.

I was so exhausted but got up, in the middle of the night, to go get some cold water. Slowly making my way downstairs, being careful not to trip. Then grabbing a cold water bottle out of the fridge, chugging half of it.

The house was really dark, sometime in the AM. With the only lighting from the microwave and the streetlights seeping through the windows.

It's a good thing I have this house mapped out in my mind. And if it wasn't for Peter, there would be so much junk piled up, I would be tripping constantly.
Oh, and you can't forget how Toby likes to walk directly underneath peoples feet. He gets in your way, trips you up, then flops down on the ground for attention.
At least he's cute.

Taking another big sip then carefully and quietly making my way back upstairs. It's so quiet right now, so calm. Everyone's asleep, not just in the house, but in the whole town.
No creature stirring, not even a mouse, ha. Ugh, man I'm tired. Rubbing my eyes, yawning then stumbling back to my bed.

Looking over at Peter in the dark, I could barely see his dark silhouette in the bed. But there he was, taking up my bed, that's now ours I guess. So much for that guest room.

Who would have thought I'd be cuddling with my boyfriend every night.
Deeply sighing, he's amazing. I just wish he knew.

Can't forget that his own family hates him and me too now. But who needs them!? We have each other, that's all we need.

Taking a big yawn, stretching out my arms, back and legs. Then laying back in bed. Ah, perfection.
Me and Peter cuddled throughout the night, with Toby staying with us most of the night.

We all slept pretty well, who knew having a loved one near by could make you so comfortable. I don't think I've ever slept as good until Peter.
But the bed definitely helps, it's way better than just dirt floors or a cot.

🍂
🍃
⛅️

We both woke up but Peter wanted to stay in bed longer, so I went ahead and walked downstairs.
Making some breakfast and grabbing a glass of orange juice.

Toby jumped onto the counter, flopping down and waiting to get petted.
"Good morning, cutie." I said, kissing him and rubbing his belly.

He looked up at me sweetly, meowing and purring.

"Morning, honey." My mom said, walking into the kitchen. She kissed me on my forehead and got herself some breakfast.

"Why are you so happy this morning?" I asked her.

She paused, looking up at me. "It's just a good day, to have a good day. That's all. I can't just be happy?" She said jokingly, with a smile.

"Alright." I said suspiciously, putting my hands onto the counter and leaning back onto it.

🍃

I was done cooking breakfast but Peter still wasn't up. So I quietly made my way upstairs.
Trying to sneak over to the bed without waking him.

Peter was cuddling with a pillow, his face smushed into another. He looked so comfortable and peaceful. Noticing that my phone was on the nightstand, I gently picked it up and took a picture of him.

He's adorable.

My phone was low of battery, so I put it in the charger and quietly left the room.
Would he want breakfast in bed?
Or to keep sleeping?

Hmm...
Having a boyfriend is hard.

"Toby!" I whisper yelled, seeing him stuck his face closer and closer into the scrambled eggs, quickly picking him up.
"Really?" I said, holding this adorably annoying, fluff ball.

Sighing, "Uh, what am I gonna do with you." I said, then kissed him.

Grabbing two plates and putting the food onto them. Toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, and two glasses of orange juice.
Even though Peter is still asleep, I still made him a plate. Putting more food on mine since I usually ate more.

Grabbing a tray and putting both plates and glasses on it, then carefully walking upstairs. Trying to hold the tray in one hand and open the bedroom door. Maybe I shouldn't of closed it.

Peter was still sprawled out on our bed.
I set the tray down and looked down at him.
He might be a little upset that I'm about to make him up, but the food should make him happy.
I think. Right?

Gently nudging him wake, his eyes opening slowly, a big yawn and stretch.

"Mmm, what time is it?" He mumbled.

"It's breakfast time. Wake up, baby." I said softly, rubbing his shoulder then bending down to give him a kiss on his forehead.

"Hmm, breakfast? It's to early for that." He mumbled tiredly, his eyes still closed.

"You still tired, baby?" I asked, rubbing his head.

He yawned, turning onto his side. "Yeah."

"Okay." I said and paused, looking at the tray of food. "I made us both breakfast. You can have it in bed if you want."

He opened his eyes, peeking around at the food. "Mm, maybe."

I sat down on the bed, putting the tray on my lap. "Well if you don't want it, I'll eat it." I said, then started eating my food.

He tiredly sat up, then grabbed his glass of orange juice. Gulping it down quickly.
"Can I have some water?" He asked with a hoarse voice.

"Yeah, baby. One minute." I said, grabbing his now empty glass and headed to the bathroom.

"Nooo!" He said annoyed.

Turning around to look at him, "What's wrong?"

"I don't want water from the bathroom, it's gross!" He said.

Raising my eyebrows, "We lived on an island for over a year and you can't drink tap water?" I said judgingly.

He stared at me, his eyes tired but staring intensely.
"I don't want tap water."

Sighing, then smiling at him. "Alright. I'll go get you some filtered, non tap water." I said.
"Wouldn't want any micro plastics." I mumbled as I walked out of the room.

Getting him a glass of water then going back upstairs. He was eating his food, and stealing off y plate!

"Hey! That's mine." I said annoyed.

He glanced up at me, chowing down on a piece of bacon.

"Really? You have your own. Why do you want mine?" I asked.

"Because yours is better." He said, reaching for the glass in my hand.

"It's the same thing!" I said, giving him the glass. He gulped down a few sips.

"No it's not. You taste better." He said then continued eating.

"You mean, my food, taste better?" I asked confusedly.

"No. You do." He said, glancing up at me again.
Making me flustered.
It's a good thing I stoped talking, other wise I'd be stuttering like an idiot.
Not that stuttering means your an idiot, I think it's cute when Peter does it. Besides it's kinda my fault, well, it's totally my- what am I doing!?
Stop thinking, Cole!

Sitting down on our bed together and eating breakfast. We didn't talk, just enjoying the morning together.

🍃

"Ughhh! It's to hot!" Peter complained.

"Yep, I know." I said.
Then suddenly got a good idea.

"Hey, Peter. I got an idea." I said, excitedly looking at him.

"What?" He asked curiously.

"We have to go to the store first." I said, standing up.

"Uh. Why?" He asked suspiciously.

"What? You love doing things without telling me, so why can't I?" I asked.

"Because I can." He said, still sitting down, giving me those judging little eyes.

"Come on." I said, pulling him up. "I won't be able to hide it from you long, you'll find out at the store. Let's go!" I said.

"Mom!? Where are you!?" I yelled through the house, going around and looking through the rooms. Eventually finding her in her bathroom getting ready.

"What honey?" She asked.

"Why Is It always so hard to find you?" I asked jokingly.

"I don't know, but you make a lot of noise stomping around." She said, looking at me in the mirror.
"What do you need, honey?"

"Can you drive us to the store?" I asked.

"Yeah, why?" She asked.

"He won't tell me!" Peter complained.

"It's a surprise!" I said to Peter. He crossed his arms and judgingly looked at me, yet again.

🍃

"No way." He complained, doing the same pose as earlier.

"Come on, why not?" I asked.

Rolling his eyes then walking away.

"You wanted to get out of the heat, here's the solution." I said.

"I'm not wearing that." He said, turning around to look at me.

"Come on, it's not that bad. Besides there's plenty more to choose from." I said.
Walking up to him, placing my hands on his waist. "It'll be fun. So why not?"

"Can it just me me and you?" He asked, looking up as me with a sweet expression.

"Yes, baby." I said, kissing his forehead.

He sighed, "Fine. But I get to pick!" He said walking over to look at them.

Smiling that he was finally showing some sweetness today. Why is he so grumpy anyways? Bad nights sleep?

What better thing to do in the summer heat, then go swimming!

Peter wasn't to happy with my pick of some swim trunks, that happened to be light blue with bright pink flamingos.

"So that's a not for these?" I asked sarcastically.

"I'm not wearing those." He said sternly.

"Your no fun." I said.
We continued to look through the swimsuit section. My mom was off in the women's section to get herself something.
But I'm not to picky about what they look like. It's just for swimming, but I mean they can be uncomfortable sometimes, especially with sand, ugh.

"I like these." Peter said, holding up two pairs of swim trunks. One dark green and the other a dark red.

"Why dark colors? Why not something bright and fun?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"I like these. Here, I chose something." He said, shoving them into my arms.

Alright, then. If that's what he wants.

🍃

We went back home.

"I'm going to make us some lunch!" My mom said happily.

"Alright." I said, headed upstairs with our stuff.
Placing the bags down on the bed and Peter rushed to grab something.
"You always have to buy something else, huh?" I said.

At least he was happy.

"I'm going to try on my swim trunks. You can tell me how good they look on me." I said with a wink, grabbing them and heading to the bathroom.

Peter rolled his eyes and looked back at the stuff he got.

Damn, I look good. I thought as I looked at myself in the mirror. Peter has good taste, if it weren't for him I'd be wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants everyday.

Proudly walking out of the bathroom to show Peter. "What do you think?" I asked, standing their shirtless in my new swim trunks.

He looked up, this time he finally smiled at me.
"You look good." He said then continued reading a book he got.

"Uh...that's it?" I asked.

"Wha?" He mumbled, reading the book.

Walking over to the bed where he was laying. My hands on my hips, "That's all your going to say?"

"Since when did you become the girl?" He said sarcastically, looking up at me.

"Uh..." I said shocked. "That's it." I said, grabbing the book and setting it in the nightstand, then climbing on top of Peter.

"Ughhh. Why do you always do this!?" Peter complained.

"Because you never learn." I said, holding onto him tightly. Nudging my face into the crook of his neck.
"But isn't this nice?" I mumbled against his skin.

"It would be nicer if you weren't so heavy." He complained, out of breath.

Using my arms to hold myself up, taking most of my weight off of him. "Is that better?" I asked.

He sighed, "Yeah. Now can you get up?" He asked, his hands in my shoulders.

"Not until you tell me how good I look." I said.

"Really?" He said judgingly.

"What? A guy can't have compliments?" I said.

Peter put his hand in my face, "You are very handsome. And needy."

"I'm needy?" I asked.

"Yeah." He replied.

"I'm needy!?" I asked again, shocked.

"Uh, yes. You are." He said, pausing as he looked at me. "But I guess I am too."

"Yes, you are." I mimicked.

"Your an idiot." He said jokingly, nudging me.

"At least I'm your handsome, idiot." I said, grabbing onto him again.

He took a deep breath, rubbing my back. "Alright, but can you please get up?" He asked nicely.
"I love you."

Lifting myself to look at him, then giving him a gentle kiss. "I love you too."

Then getting up off of him, "Why don't you try on your swim trunks?"

He sat up, "I rather keep reading this."

"You can later. Try it on to make sure it fits. Then we can go swimming and cool off. Isn't that what you want?" I said.

"Fine. But don't mess with my books, ever." He said seriously, pointing his finger at me.

"Why would this idiot ever touch a book?" I said.
He shook his head and walked to the bathroom.

After awhile of waiting Peter slowly made his way out of the bathroom, wearing his swim trunks and he still had his sweater on.

"There. I put them on." He said quietly, nervously fiddling with his hands.

"You look good, Peter." I said, walking closer.
He definitely liked green, always wearing that same green sweater and now his new green swim trunks.
Maybe it's a ginger thing, but it does remind me of a carrot...don't tell him that, he's be upset.

Putting my hands on his waist. "Look at you, my adorable boyfriend."
His eyes flashed up at me, a small smile appearing on his face.

Leaning closer to his ear, then whispering, "You'd look better without that sweater."

He gulped, shocked, flustered and tensing up.

"Maybe we don't need these swim suits....wouldn't it be nice to go skinny dipping? Like how we used to, on the island, every morning. Just us in the pond together." I whispered.

"Cole." He whispered through his teeth in shock.

"Hmm? What is it, baby?" I whispered in his ear.

🍃

Peter's pov
*~*~*~*~*~*

Wha-what- wh- huh? What did he just say!?

"Hmm? What is it, baby?" He whispered in my ear, in a deep, seductive voice.

I-Uh-hub-ba-hu-ma- hmmmm?

"What do you think about that? Maybe we should sleep naked to stay cool." He said, his hands on my waist, holding me close to his body.

"Uh-I-Uh!?" I mumbled confused and flustered, pushing him away.
Clearing my throat. "I'm-I'm-I'm- I'm going to go change b-back." I said, quickly closing the bathroom door and shaking my head.
That was so stupid. I haven't stumbled over my words like that in awhile.

Slapping my hand onto my forehead. Ugh, why am I still like this around him?
While leaning against the door, I felt a small knock.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

Taking a deep breath then opening the door a few inches.
He looked into my eyes, his hand leaning up against the doorframe. He looked so attractive, almost intimidating as he stood in front of me. But his eyes were so gentle and loving.

"To far?" He said softly.

Resting my head against the door, "Just a bit."

He looked down, smiling. "Sorry, baby. Come here." Holding out his arms.

I opened to the door fully and quickly got into his arms. Wrapping mine around him and closing my eyes as I rested my head against his chest.

Cole's head was rested on top of mine, his big arms holding me close but gently.
"Mmm. You've fallen into my trap." He said then pulled me to the bed.

"Really!? Cole. Come on..." I grumbled as he pulled my skinny self away.
Doing his favorite trick, aka trap Peter.

Yet again, pinned down to the bed.

. . .

"You just love this don't you?" I asked.

"Yep." He said while pinning me down.

Why does he always do this? Maybe he likes being in control, but it gets annoying after awhile.

"I love you." Cole mumbled against my neck, placing kisses. "I love you, I love you, I love you." He mumbled.

"Alright. But can you get off of me? Please?" I asked.

"Nm, mm," He mumbled, placing more kisses on my neck. His warm lips tickling my skin.

"Ugh! Cole!" I said sternly, pushing him away. He gave in, lifting himself up.
"I wanna be on top. Got it?" I said, looking into his eyes.

He smirked, "Alright."

Finally pushing him off of me. "Your so annoying. You handsome idiot." I said, shaking my head.

He was still smirking with his arms under his head.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" I asked, looking down at him.

"Yep. But I still have an idea of how this could get better." He said flirtatiously.

"Really? How's that?" I asked.

He sat up, "Take off that sweater." His lips we're just an inch away from mine, with his hands on my waist again.

"Mmm. I don't know about that." I said, moving his hands away.

"I think I can change your mind." He whispered.
Kissing my neck again.

"Cole." I mumbled. "You-a, your- such a- mmm."
Even as I tried to be annoyed and push him away, but I couldn't. He's just to- to... uhh- huh- hot.

His lips were so soft and warm, his breath tickling my skin. How could I even think clearly when he's doing this!?

Firmly pushing him away, "Ugh, Cole!"
Confused, his big puppy dog eyes stared into mine.
"Ughhh, you are...mm." I mumbled, my arms wrapped around his neck.

He had a big grin on his face, biting his lip.
"I'm what?"

Shaking my head. "Your to much." I said, letting out a big sigh.
Glancing around the room, "Since It's hot, why don't we go use these bathing suits?"

"Mmm. But do we have too? Right now?" Cole pouted.

"Yes, Cole. Come on, get up." I said, trying to get up.
But of course Cole didn't want me to. Pulling me back down onto his lap.

Taking a deep sigh. "Alright. What do you want?" I asked.

"Why don't we stay here. And make out?" He said, giving me a kiss.
Then he glanced to the door. "But, let's close the door."

Looking at him skeptically, "Why's that?" I asked.

"Uh... just-um... you know. Just in case...it, uh. Escalates..." He said slowly.

"Escalates? Huh...just in case, right?" I said.

He looked down, away from my eyes. "Well...you know. We wouldn't want to get caught."

"Well. Good thing nothings going to happen." I said, getting up quickly before he could stop me.

"Wait! Peter. Noooo. Baby... Come back... please?" He begged on his knees.

Shaking my head. Oh, this... no, I won't call him anything bad. I love him, he's great. The best boyfriend ever. My first and only partner. Who would have thought?
Damn it... we are the bullies to loves cliche. And gay! Ugh. Oh and we have a cat, of course.

Slapping my hand to my face. Why are we such a cliche!? But I mean, Cole seems to enjoy it. He seems like the traditional kid of guy... besides the whole, gay thing.

Have we even been on a date? I can't even remember.

🌊

Earlier at the store we got some beach towels, each with a different design for ourselves. Cindy bought some stuff for lunch and dinner later and Cole was really excited about some dive toys, pool noddles and water guns.
He's such a kid sometimes, it's adorable.

There house has a pool which is really nice, but because of the cold weather no one has used it in awhile.
Which means, Cole has to clean it, meanwhile I get to read my book on the couch.

"Come on, Peter. Your not going to help me?" Cole asked.

"No, you wanted to go swimming. Have fun cleaning!" I said, still staring at my book.

He sighed, "Fine. Just so we can have fun later and cool off. I love you." He said, walking closer and giving me a kiss on my forehead.
"Can I at least kiss you on the lips!?" He said annoyed.

"Fine." I mumbled, looking up at him then giving him a kiss.

"Thank you, baby." He said then went outside.

🌊

Cindy went over to the sliding door, opening it so Cole would hear her. "Food is ready!"

Cole came back inside and I put my book down, both of us going into the kitchen.

"Wow, your sweaty." I said looking at Cole.

"Uh, yeah. It's hot and I haven't been in the pool yet." He said, sweat dripping down his shirtless body. It may be hot outside, but he might be hotter. Although the sweat is a little gross.

"Alright, get what you want boys." Cindy said, she also had her bathing suit on and a flowing cover up.
There was cut up fruit in different shapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, cherries, grapes, then some cheese, crackers, water, juice. Just do much good stuff.

Cole took a big gulp of water. "Ugh, why does it taste like that?" He complained.

"It's cucumber infused water." Cindy said.

"Why would you do that?" He complained.

"Because it's healthy and taste good." She said.

Cole looking at her judgingly. "No. It's not."
Then handed her the cup, "If you love it so much, then you can have it all to yourself."

"Uh, alright. You can just have plain boring water then." Cindy said, taking the cup back.

I just watched, grabbed a grape and popping it into my mouth.

"Let's go take these outside. How's the pool looking?" Cindy asked.

"It's looks nice and cold. It took awhile to clean though. If only someone helped me." He said, side eyeing me.

"Thank you." I said, giving him a kiss then walking away.
Cindy brought out the food platters, Cole carried the drink dispenser and I grabbed the cups. Setting them down on the glass table, with a giant umbrella above it.

"Ow!" I said suddenly.

"What?" Cole asked worriedly.

"Ugh! Who's idea was it to have metal chairs in 90 degree weather!" I yelled out.

Cindy and Cole looked at each other. "Yeah... uh, sorry."
Then Cindy went back inside for something.

"Sorry, your burnt yourself, baby. You okay?" He asked, gently grabbing my hand.

"I'm fine, just wasn't expecting it." I said.

He placed a kiss on my hand. "My little ginger boyfriend. Your so cute." He said, pulling me closer to him.
He looked up at the sky then back at me, "I wouldn't want you to burn. So...why don't you let me rub some sunscreen on you?" He said flirtatiously. His eyes staring into mine and small smirk on his face.

My jaw dropped. What's gotten into him today!?
Shaking my head and looking down as I blushed.

"I wouldn't want you to over heat in his sweater, baby. So why don't you take it off? Then I'll put some sunscreen on you." He said.

"Cole." I said, slapping my hand onto his chest. "You can't keep saying this stuff. It's- it's- just- ughhh."

He smiled, "Alright, I'll try to hold myself back. But I would love to ru-"
Slapping his chest again, making him stop talking.

"Okay. For real this time, I'll stop. But seriously, put some sunscreen on!" Cole said, then went inside to get the towels.
Man it's hot out, I'm going back inside too.

☁️🌤️🕶️

Cole' pov
<><><><>

Going inside to grab our towels, I heard some people talking. So I walked over to the front door to see what was going on.

"Cole!" My dad said surprised, with a smile.
Wait, what? When, where and why is he here? And he's smiling!? He never smiles!

"Heyyy, dad." I said, going up to him, hugging each other.
"What are you doing here?" I asked curiously.

"Well, uh, Cindy said it would be a good time to see you. So, I'm here." He smiled.

"Alright, come in then." I said, smiling. He's actually here, wanting to see me.

We made some small talk, then I went over to Peter while they talked in the kitchen.
"Sooo, why are you so obsessed with this book?" I asked, watching Peter pick up his book.

"Because it's great. It's a cute, gay, romance book that's actually realistic. How could you not love it?" He said.

"Well, what do I know? I'm just an idiot... a muscular idiot." I said, glancing down at my arms.

"Yes, you are." He said, giving me a kiss.

"Do you need help with the sunscreen?" I asked, eyeing him down.

"No. I'll manage. Get to work, pool boy!" He said then walked away.

I brought the towels out and since my dad is here, I'll grab an extra one. So I went to the laundry room and grabbed another towel.

A sudden wave of emotions hit me. I hate the laundry room. Quickly making my way out of there.

Nothing that Peter was in the bathroom, I went over to him. He was looking at his hair in the mirror.

"Still a ginger?" I asked jokingly.

"Yeah." He mumbled.
Placing the towel down and wrapping my arms around him.

"Your so cute." I mumbled, kissing his cheek. We stared into the mirror, looking at ourselves together. We look great together.

"Ready to go swim? I'm going to prove I can hold my breath longer." I said.

"Oh, really? After your body got crushed and torn apart, how strong or athletic can you be?" He said.

"Oh, really? Are you challenging me? Hmmm?" I said.

He looked into my eyes, "Maybe." He said and stuck his tongue out at me.

"Don't tempt me, I will bite you." I said.

"What are you, a vampire? Hm." He said.

"...Maybe." I said.
Giving him a kiss, he turned around, putting his arms around my neck. He kissed me again, a slow, deep, passionate kiss.
I had one hand in his waist while my other hand grabbed onto his hair.

Could hear my mom and dad open the sliding door to go outside, making me pull away from Peter.

But he grabbed my face, staring into my eyes, then he kissed me again. While we were kissing, I pushed the door completely closed and then pushed him against the wall.
Reaching my hand under his sweater, feeing his skin against my fingertips, my lips against his, and my hand in his beautiful hair.

We've done a lot today, but right now I'm enjoying this. It's definitely the best part of my day, so far anyways. It could get even better later.

Putting my hand higher up on his chest, then moving my other hand down to his hips.
Pulling away for a moment.

"I really want to rip off your clothes right now. We could just get in the shower together, right now."
I said, both of us breathing fast, trying to catch our breath.

"We probably shouldn't... at least not right now." He said, quickly kissing me again.
"Let's go outside, otherwise we'll never leave this room."

Backing away, "Yeah..." I said sadly. "Fine, we can finish this later."

"Yep, come on." He said, heading for the door.
But I stopped him.

"One more thing."

"Hmm?"

I pulled him closer, grabbing the hem of his sweater then quickly taking it off of him.
"Much better." I said.

"Now, let why don't I help you with your sunscreen, then we'll go swimming." I said.

He sighed, shaking his head with a small smile. "Ugh. Fine. But your not locking me in here with you. Okay?"

"Ughhhh. Fine." I said, grabbing the sunscreen then helping him to apply it. Wouldn't want my ginger boy to get sunburnt.

"There, much better." I said.

A small smile on his face, then he looked down in thought, his smile disappearing.

"What's wrong?" I asked worridley.

He looked back up, "Nothing. Let's go." He said turning to leave.

"No." I said, grabbing his arm. "What's wrong, baby?" I asked concernedly.

He looked down again, his hands fiddling together. "Don't worry about it."

"Peter." I said, while he still didn't want to look up at me.

"Baby... are you uncomfortable?" I asked.

He slowly looked up at me, just nodding.

"Alright. What is it? The sweater?" I asked, glancing towards his favorite, green sweater on the counter.

"Yeah." He said quietly.

Lifting his head up, "Your beautiful, baby. I love you. So much."
Staring into his eyes, he lighten up, giving me a small kiss.

"Let's go have fun." He said, pulling me out of the bathroom.
We went outside to the backyard, the sky was bright blue with a few fluffy clouds, the sun shining down, the clean, glistening pool and the glass table with the food platters.

My mom and dad were talking about something, smiling and laughing.

"Your still drinking that?" I asked disgusted, shaking my head, seeing the glass of fruit infused water.
"Why would you want that. Normal water is healthy and fine. Infused water is weird." I said, sitting down and grabbing some food.

"I like it!" My mom said. "You like fruit and you like water, what's so bad about them being together?" She asked.

"It's different and weird, it's just gross together."
I said with my mouth full of food.

"A teenage boy, grossed out about something... infused water?" She said.

"Hey! Carbonated water is gross too. You need the sugar and junk in it!" I said, grabbing more food.

She shook her head then looked over at William.
"Why don't you just go swimming." She said.

"I thought you weren't supposed to swim on a full stomach." William said with a smile, watching as I stuffed crackers and cheese into my mouth.

"It's fine" I mumbled.

Peter slapped his hand to his head. "Your going to give me a headache today."

"Go have fun, honey. Work up an appetite." Cindy said.

"I already have an appetite." I said. "Where's the chips!?"

"Keith probably ate them all." Peter said.

"True."
