Applebloom ran down the wooden stairs in excitement seemingly passing from second to second through her.
"Howdy partner,
What got you so riled up this mornin'?" Applejack asked.

"Nothin' it's just my friend I haven't seen in four years is back in ponyville today!"

"Oh! Hell, I been darned, I forgot."

"It was all I talked bout' for a week big sis, how could ya forget?"

Applejack shrugged in reply.

"Don know." She replied.

There was a long moment of silence when Applejack looked down in sorrow.

"What is it?"

"Y'all know that she can only come home if she passed? Right?"

"Hm... I guess you're right."

Suddenly there was a crash on the porch of the sweet Apple acres doorstep.
Applejack ran to the door, grabbed the wooden handle, and turned it all the way around, until she heard a click. Then she pushed it open.
The mailmare Derpy was flat on her face, then quickly got up, as if it was nothing.
"Hello?"
She handed her a pink perfectly cased envelope.
She tore it open, and read it in her head.

Applebloom ran all over to find her friend, Searching every corner.
"APPLEBLOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" A voice cried.

She turned around, looking at the mare in front of her.

"SWEETIE BELLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I haven't seen you since we were little foals!"

"Not much different here!"

"So, when do you think she's coming?"

"I don't know, Rainbow never gave us a time."

"OH MY GOSH I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Someone shouted, jumping on them.

"Nice to see you to Gabby!" They both said in unison.

Then the door smoothly opened, and a figure stood at the door, their head looking down.

"OH MY CELESTIA DASHIE!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO HAPPY YOU COULD COME AN-"
Pinkie pie paused, examining the look on her friend's face.
"Dashie? Are you ok?"
"No! I'm not!" She responded, tears flooding her eyes, and she internally held back a laugh.
"Rainbow? What happened?" Twilight asked.
Dash sighed, "I don't wanna talk about it!"

"We need to hear what happened, or we can't help you." Pinkie told her.

"I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Fluttershy hugged her friend.
"Rainbow, you need to tell us what happened. I know you don't want to talk about it. But we need to help you."

"Fine, you want to hear it, then here it is." She whispered her requested response.

Not even Fluttershy heard her.
"I'm sorry I didn't hear that."
"I SAID SCOOTALOO IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She shouted.

Sweetie belle, Applebloom, and Gabby were shocked by these words.

"What? HOW DID IT HAPPEN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Sweetie Belle cried.

"So, I was with some of the ponies in the group that passed, and it seemed normal, Scootaloo herself telling this kid he knew he'd pass and,"

Applebloom remembered. "Orian." She thought, Since, Scootaloo had told her about him in a letter.

"It was so sudden but, we were all attacked, even I was unable to save them, the attacker flew in the other direction after the massacre, all I found of my sister's body, was this." She said, handing over the feather she had taken in her sister's final moments to Applebloom.

Applebloom collapsed on the floor crying, with the feather in her hoof, Sweete belle sat right next to her, and Gabby fell to the floor and cried.
"I'll find out who did this, if it's the last thing I do!" Applebloom cried.
"I'll be here for you the entire way." Sweetie Belle replied.
"Me too." Gabby commented.

Rainbow ran out the door, Applejack followed.
Rainbow slammed the back door open, and Applejack ran up to her, finally, after what felt like hours of running.
"Dash, I'm really sorry."
"I miss her SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She cried.
"Wounds take time to heal RD, I promise, we're here for you."
