Yes it's true that werewolves were created by Zeus as a punishment to Lycaon for slaughtering one of his own sons and serving his remains to the gods. However Zeus had not realized that he had made a terrible mistake. His creation had brought a new fear into the eyes of the mortals. Not realizing that when Lycaon bit or scratch anyone they would become infected and transform into werewolves themselves. Therefore unleashing a horrible disease as well. Zeus knew that he had to think fast and come up with a solution in order to stop this plague. Zeus made Lycaon unable to be killed so easily, so that he can spend the rest of his life suffering so his insolence. However, silver, the metallic element being the highest electrical conductivity appears to act as a kind of acid when comes in contact with any area of the skin. With that Zeus pasted on the knowledge to the mortals, and in knowing they had chosen to use silver "bullets" on order to kill these creatures. But yet it still wasn't enough to stop them. It was then Zeus decided that the mortals do not have the skills it takes to take down these creatures. And this being his own fault, it is his duty not the mortals to fix his mistakes. So then Zeus decides that the only way to stop a werewolf is with a werewolf. Enlisting the help of the bravest and noblest of warriors who are willing to give up their humanity and become werewolf warriors to eliminate the rogue werewolves. In order for the warriors to identify the rogues Zeus marked both werewolves. When one is infected by a rogue upon the area where the bite was made a pentagram will appear. When one is infected by a warrior upon that area a clawed paw mark will appear. But Zeus had given the Warriors only one rule. They are to infect anyone unless they are endangered of being infected by a rogue. And with that he sent them off, but not before adding one last little adjust. Since he cannot destroy them reverse the transformation, he can however limit their transformation to that only of the night of a full moon. But even still the transformation occurs when emotions are at their highest. But least Zeus was able to keep them at bay. After Zeus had sent out the Warriors there have become fewer and fewer of werewolf attacks.
