Chapter 4 ~ Selene

"Well. That was..."

"Interesting." I said finishing Sky's sentance. He nodded as we headed back to our base. We had an average campsite. Nothing to fancy or special. Well....aside from the coloration, witch was now silvery. "Wow. Everything's so....Silver!"

"Eh, would've looked cooler if it were budder."

"Budder? Oh right. I'm talking to Skydoesminecraft."

"Something wrong with that?" He asked with a smile.

"Nope! The Sky I know is the same when it comes to gold...erm.....butter."

Sky nodded. "Do you know everyone? I mean...is there like another of every person."

I shook my head. "I mean...maybe. but not where I come from. It's kinda strange. Ummm....most of the leaders I don't know. But you, Herobrine, and some others I know well."

"SELENE! SKY! Welcome back! Why did ya rush off like that?" A voice shouted. I looked over and man wearing sunglasses, much like Sky's.

"Hello Ian! Didn't you hear the announcement?" He shook his head. "Alpha called all the leaders to the starting area to chose team names and colors." I explained. Ian nodded and rushed back to his home. Sky had ordered everyone into place.

"RECRU...erm....PLAYERS OF THE TRIALS!" Sky shouted once we reached the middle. Our whole team filed in and stood in attention. Must be part of his army where they came from. "Right. Today marks the first day of the trials. We've already discussed team name and color. Does anyone have a report form this evening?"

I looked up and saw the sun set. "Evening already? It was just dawn not twenty minutes ago." I muttered. Sky looked up as well.

"I guess so huh? Time must just fly here." I nodded.

"Sir, nothing to report while you were gone." A member declaired from the team. Sky and I nodded and dismissed them to their homes.

"So...we've found out that time is weird here...how long do ya think night is?" Sky asked. I just shrugged. "Hmmm."

"Welp. Imma go to bed. Might as well since it's well...night time now." Sky nodded in agreement and went to his own room. I sighed and walked to the window separating the outside from me. I watched everyone go home and wave goodbye like they had known each other for ages. I shook my head and curled up in bed, wrapping my tail around myself.

"Hey, come on get up. We need to head to the starting area again." Sky said gently shaking me awake.

I looked up at him and stood. He walked out and I followed swinging my tail swinging softly behind me. Three of the team members were waiting at the entrance of the camp. Sky nodded to them and I waved hello. "Hey Sky, do you know why we're going back to the start?"

"A trial probably." He muttered. Ian jogged up next to me, and smiled.

"It can't possibly be that bad on the first one can it?"

Sky shrugged and kept walking. "Probably not. I mean...we just got here, he can't possibly be that..." My voice trailed off as I saw the begining of the corse. We were the last of the teams to arrive, but I couldn't care less. The corse began with skeletons aiming their arrows straight in our path. I couldn't see beyond that...but I don't like the feeling of this corse.

"Oh, finally now all five teams are here!" Alpha said happily clapping his hands together. "Now we can begin!"

"Begin....what excatly?" Entity asked.

"Why, the race to the death of corse!" Alpha exclaimed.

My eyes widened. "I'm sorry, but did you just 'say to the death?'" Seto asked.

Alpha nodded. "You can already see the begining, so I won't explain that....actually...I think I'll just let you figure it out for yourselves. Ready?" We all readied ourselves at the starting line, one after the other in a row. Team one, to team five. All of us racing. Many of us probably dieing. "First team to cross wins, be sure to keep them alive." I looked at Sky, and the rest of our team. They nodded and I nodded back. Why so much nodding? "GO!" Alpha shouted, and we were off.

I dodged arrow after arrow, as did the rest of us. Ian grazed his arm, but we were all alive still. Second place. The unknowns were ahead, Entity had an arrow sticking out of his back, but kept running.

The next part was lava parkor  (totally spelt that right...probably...) simple jumps, but one wrong move could end badly. I tried sommoning a block, but couldn't. Alpha was smarter than I thought. "Careful...just...don't slip."

"Naw.....really? Never would've guessed." One of the members snapped, resulting in almost falling off the iron block he was jumping to.

"Shut your mouth! She's just as much your leader as I am, and I expect you to treat her as such." Sky hissed. Landing on the block next to me.

"Thanks." I whispered before jumping and slipping. Sky grabbed my wrist and pulled me up.

"Just because I stood up for you, doesn't mean you can go killing yourself." He chuckled as most of our team finished the parkor. I watched one member fall right into the lava. His scream filled my ears, causing me to flatten them against my head. "Come on. Let's get this over with."

I nodded and followed Sky to the last main section of the race. An duel with the teams. Each team chose on person to fight. We chose Ian. He was up against someone in a blue spacesuit. Ian stared at him in shock. "J-Jason..."

The man by the name of Jason raised an eyebrow. "You are?" He hissed raising his weapon and attacking. Alpha ordered the remaining members of the teams to finish the race. I looked over to my left and watched one of J's team members fight 7, before taking off after my team.

Third place. The finish line was just out of our reach. Endermada and Team Randomness beat us. Finis and The unknowns right behind us. We all crossed the finish line and started panting. I looked up at Alpha.

"Well done all of you! Most of your teams seem to have it safely here and will not be eliminated from the games. But it's not over yet."

"What.....what do you mean?" Skylar growled.

"I mean, not all of the remaining members have crossed, there for, there is no winner yet."

"So....we still have a shot?" Sky asked, Alpha simply nodded. So, we waited.

Sky and the remains of our team went home. Ian crossed fourth, and was badly hurt, so we took our time getting home. Surprisingly, today seemed to be longer than yesterday. The overall winner of today's trial were Team Randomness. Second was The unknowns. Third, Endermada. And last was Finis. J's team member had lost his life against 7. There for, lost the trial. But I guess theirs next time.

Sky handled the rest of the day. I helped out the two who needed it then finished up the last few things I needed to do. "Well. At least we had a shot..."
