Eric- What the?? What are you all doing here?! You should be training Initiates! Not doing some Erudite book work on your phones, computers and tablets! Get back into the training room you freaking Noses! You transfered to Dauntless, not Erudite!

Yours Truly- You know who also use to be a Nose, Eric??

Eric- You wouldn't...

Yours Truly- Oh, but I would.

Eric- You're too much of a Stiff to even care. Shouldn't you be busy tying someone else's shoe right about now?

Yours Truly- I may be Abnegation, but guess what Eric? Or shall I say former Nose...

Eric- *shoots death glare at Kat*

Yours Truly -*Laughs* I guess I'm more Erudite than you think Eric... You see, I could have the whole Faction know that you, Eric, who acts like he's 'tougher than all of us' is a former Nose.

Eric- [mumbling] What could I do to keep you quiet?

Yours Truly- Oh! It's simple! *hands him a note card* Just read this!

Eric- What are you? Amity? *takes card*

Yours Truly- No. *taps on head* Divergent.

Eric- Yeah, yeah.

Yours Truly- Now quit stalling and get on with it.

Eric- Ugh. Kat would like me to advise you of this disclaimer. All of the main original characters and the original plot behind this FanFiction belong to Veronica Roth. The pictures for the most part, also do not belong to Kat as they too belong to their rightful owners. Only this plot twist and some of the characters that aren't too important belong to her. There, *throws card behind him* happy? You better keep your mouth shut, Stiff.

Yours Truly- Yes, I will, but you forgot a spot.

Eric- I'm getting there, I'm getting there. [in a bored manner] Enjoy the chapter. *walks away*

Yours Truly- *shrugs* Good enough. Enjoy chapter fifty-one everyone!

Chapter 51 - Wet Dog

Tobias

"Tobias." I hear her voice.

"Yeah?" I reply groggily from just waking up. I blink a few times to see her clearly.

"Why haven't you found me yet?" She asks non accusingly, her striking yet dull blue eyes looking almost sorrow filled right into mine.

She kinda looks like Indy when I am eating dinner and he wants some; questioning yet calm.

"What do you mean?"

"I might not make it. I can't take this much longer--"

"No." I cut her off. "You're strong. Tris. You are going to make it. You'll be okay and I am going to find you; if it is the last thing I do. Just be brave, okay? You'll be okay." I kiss the top of her blonde head and wrap her in an embrace. She snuggles in my shoulder.

"I love you." I mumble putting my head on top of hers.

"I love you too." She says.

"Tobias?"

"Yeah?"

"It hurts." She looks up at me, tears brimming her dull yet vibrant eyes.

"What does?" I ask, fear traveling like wild fire through my veins.

"My leg. Tobias. I can't take it! It burns!" She screams in pain, gritting her teeth.

"Shh. Shh." I stoke her hair pulling her back in an embrace. I feel her heart racing against my bare chest as he breathes heavily and begins to sweat and shake.

I look down now to see that in her left leg, there is several bullets, bleeding all over the sheets.

"Shh. I'm going to find you, and this will all end up okay. You'll be okay. Just breathe, Tris. I'm going to find you. I will. I promise. Just hang in there. Stay with me." I stroke her now long, blonde hair as she seemingly just hides her face in my shoulder, trembling in pain.

"I'm dying, Tobias."

I jump from my bed sweating like crazy as I wake up from that dream; no, that nightmare.

I turn over and lay on my back, taking deep breaths to try and calm myself.

It was just so, vivid.

Still sweating, I jump out of the bed and check the sheets where she was for blood stains. Indy jumps off the bed, clearly startled my by sudden movement.

I take a deep breath as I pull back the dark grey-ish black comforter.

I sigh a sigh of relief.

No blood.

I just take deep breaths as I walk back and forth in my room with my hands on my head.

I'm dying, Tobias.

The sound of her voice haunts my brain.

Indy comes over to me and looks at me quizzically; probably wondering why I basically pushed him off my bed in such a rush. He looks up at me with his big brown eyes and just whines.

"I'm sorry bud." I sit down making me at his level and he walks up to me. He basically just comes up and plops down on my lap. "I just freaked out for a second, but don't worry, I'm okay. It's time to get up anyway. Well, even though it's Sunday and I don't have work until a meeting again tonight, it's still time to get up." I play with his ears as he still basically is sitting half on my lap, half on the floor.

"What should we do today?" I ask him like he would actually answer me. He just turns around and looks at me, his nose right in my face. I wrap my arms around him, kinda like a huge bare hug and scratch him roughly like a doggy bro hug kind of thing.

"You know what? How about you get a bath today? You seem pretty filthy if I'd ever say so. Plus, I picked up some dog shampoo at the pet store a few days ago after work. How about that bud?"

"Come on. Let me up. Let's go get breakfast, and then I'll shower, then so will you. After that, who knows." I laugh as Indy runs toward the kitchen at the recognition of the word breakfast.

* * *

"How's this gonna work...?" I think out loud as I dig out the huge bottle of dog shampoo, then look at my crazy puppy, Indiana. He's getting much bigger now and comes at least up to my knees, actually, a little taller than my knees. He's also fattened up a bit, not looking like a skinny, scrawny puppy anymore. Judging my the papers mom gave me when she gave me to him, he's around eight months old now even though I've only had him for around three months.

"Indy!" I call him. I guess I'll get him in the bathroom tub/shower and do it that way. Indy barrels in circles around me wondering what I wanted probably as I walk toward the bathroom.

Umm... How the heck is this going to work?

"Okay Indy. Get in the tub." I say. He cocks his head at me, clearly not understanding. I pat the tub with my hand, making it have a light bong sound when I tap it. Just being able to see over the ledge, Indy peers into the tub, still clearly confused.

I know that he doesn't understand what the heck I'm talking about, but I also don't think he's tall enough to get in the tub on his own. I wrap my arms around his stomach and lift him up; he starts to squirm, wiggling his body and feet to try and get out of my grasp, but I have him held tight. I get him into the tub and he mostly starts sliding from his toenails, then is kind of sitting or laying partially with his head on the ledge of the tub.

I can't resist how cute he looks like that so I grap my phone and take a picture of him, then I leave my phone on the bathroom counter. I turn around to see Indy trying to get out of the tub.

"Hey! No, no, no. You stay in there bud." I take his paws off of the ledge lightly and put them back in the tub. I wouldn't want him getting hurt.

I know what I can do.

You stay there, okay?

I run out into the living room and look for one of his plastic chew toys that could get wet and not grow mold. I find his orange ball I had gotten him a few days ago wedged under the couch. This will work.

I try to not laugh when I come back into the bathroom and Indy is half in, half out of the tub and clearly stuck. His front paws are in the bathroom carpet outside the tub while his back paws are sliding in the tub.

I set down the ball on the counter and grab my phone and take a picture quick. Then I grab Indy under the waist and put him back into the tub. He lets out a loud whine, clearly annoyed.

"Hey. Do you want this? Will it make you happy?" I ask turning around and taking the ball off of the counter.

His eyes light up at the sight of a toy and his fluffy tail starts thumping against the side of the tub, making that repetitive bong sound again as it hits the tub.

"Here." I put the ball in the tub and he grabs it, more like hoards it in his mouth. At least he's happy.

My shower head is one of those that you can take off and move it around, then click it back into the spot for it. I pull that out of its socket, then put it down into the tub so Indy or I won't get burned or frozen when it turns on. Then, I turn it on and find a good temperature for him. He looks at me, clearly still confused on what the heck I'm doing to him.

"This ought to be interesting." I say putting the shower head over Indy's back. He starts shaking as soon as the water touches him.

"Ugh. Indy! Stop!" I groan as now I am all wet. He turns around, drops his ball making it bounce on the tub and starts to try and bite the water. I laugh and roll my eyes at his confusion. He finally realizes that that is doing nothing so he tries to bite the shower head.

"Indy. No." I reprimand him. "The ball is your chew toy, not the shower head."

At the recognition of the word, he frantically looks for his ball around the tub, sliding around in the process. He finds it, and then turns around facing me, clearly happy again.

Now that he's all wet, I get the bottle of dog shampoo and put a ton of it on his back. I spread it around his whole middle section, then do the same thing with his tail and legs, but I'm more careful around his head to avoid getting it into his brown eyes.

Back to rinsing him. He is more willing this time around the shower head. He clearly doesn't like it, but he keeps his ball in his mouth and doesn't go after the shower head, nor the water.

"There you go. All d-- ugh!" Indy starts shaking, getting water everywhere. I am now officially soaked.

"Really?!" I laugh. I take off my shirt, for it being soaked all the way through. There's no point in putting another one on, or letting this one get more wet, so I just take it off. Plus, I stil, have to get him out of the tub.

I go over to the cabinet I have in my bathroom and grab out a couple towels. I go back and throw one on Indy's back, then I pull it up to his face to dry his head first. Then I dry his body and stomach, then his legs, then tail. He's still pretty damp, but at least he's not soaking wet.

I stand up, then lift him out of the tub. Of course, he's happy to get out, so he first starts shaking, getting me more wet, the barrels off to who knows where. I take the towels and try to dry off the bathroom a little bit and after that I put the towels by my washer in the little room off of the kitchen. Then I go to my bedroom and grab another black shirt.

I hear Indy out in the living room so I head in that direction.

I laugh when I see Indy rubbing on his dog bed, drying himself off. He seems to be pretty happy now.

I whistle and his ears go up. He looks over at me, then comes barreling over and jumps up on me. I laugh and bend down to his level.

"You really smell like wet dog." I laugh.

* * *

"Come on Indy! Let's go! Come here!" I call my rambunctious dog. I decided to take him with me down to the Infirmary to visit Shauna and most likely Zeke.

"Ready?" I ask Indy clipping on his leash. He walks up to the door in reply.

We take the ten minute walk to the Infirmary and eventually get to Shauna's room. I knock and wait for a reply.

"Come in!" I recognize Shauna's voice. I open the door and bring Indy in, but keeping him on a short leash so he doesn't bolt up to injured or unstable people.

"Hey Four! Oh! Hey Indiana!" She says cheerfully. I can tell she is getting better, well, at least mentally getting better.

"Hey Shauna! How are you doing?" I ask, walking up to the head of her bed and letting Indy go up and say hi as well, he puts his paws up on the side of her bed and starts licking her face. I start laughing, and so does Shauna. She pushes his nose away from her face, and he stops licking her, so she strokes his head.

"Aside from the dog slobber," she wipes her face with her other hand that isn't petting Indy, "I'm actually doing great. They've actually got me on some working painkillers now, so that helps." She chuckles.

She looks back at Indy while still petting him, "You look nice and clean! Did someone get a bath?" She coos.

I laugh, "I think he gave me more of a bath than I gave him."

She laughs.

"Where'd Zeke run away to today?" I ask her.

"They were doing some stuff in the Control Room this morning, but he said he'd be around this afternoon." She stops petting Indy and he gets off of her bed.

"The doctors last night said that I'm going to get released soon, with a wheelchair. They said I'll only be allowed to be out and about if someone is pushing it for there not being that safe of walls and stuff. They also said they'd give me a card for the one elevator that the Infirmary put in like a year ago."

"That's great!" I exclaim.

Around a year ago, the leaders decided to have one elevator put in for cases like this. If someone is really hurt, or unable to walk, they can either call the infirmary like if they just got hurt and need medical help immediately or get a pass like in Shauna's case. There is a few people now that do live in the compound and have wheelchairs.

"They're hoping that I'll be out of here maybe within the next two weeks! I can't wait to get out of here! It's been like two months already!"

"I can't believe it's almost August already." I say.

"Yeah."

"I wonder when we are going to be saving those people." My voice almost sounds in awe. The words just fall out of my lips.

"Hopefully before winter." She says.

"Yeah. I'd say hopefully before November. After that, it will be snowing, and that won't be too easy."

She nods.

"We a having another big leader meeting and getting stuff planned tomorrow, so I'll keep you and Zeke posted. I'm sure Zeke will be on top of it, but so will I."

She laughs. "Yeah. You know him. Sometimes it can be a huge game of telephone with him and repeating information."

"You know it." I laugh.

"I--" I'm cut off by my phone ringing.

The caller ID says Josh.

"I gotta take this and I've gotta go, but I'll stop by again soon. See you later!"

"Okay! Bye Indy" She says. I walk out of the door closing it behind me.

"Hello?" I answer my phone walking through the Infirmary.

"Hi Four, it's Josh." He says sounding stressed and in a rush.

"Hi. What's up?"

"Could you come down to my office, like now?!" He says in a rushed gone.

"Um. Yeah sure. Why? Everything okay?" I ask really confused.

"Honestly, no. Not really."

A/N-

Hi humans!

Most of the chapters now are going to be from Tobias's POV or that side of the story and less of inside the building with Tris, Cara, and any of their POVs.

In the attached pic, I do imagine Indiana a bit bigger, but that was the best pic I could find. All of the other cute ones were of fully grown German Shepherds and I didn't want him to be that big yet...

I'm hoping to get this fanfic to around maybe 60-70 chapters?? I hope. After that... Who knows...😉😉

19.9k reads!!! Could we get it to 20k by the next chapter/ update?! (hopefully tomorrow!) <4 <4 <4 <4 (<there's 4 of them)

Anyways...

Until next time...

Stay amazing!

Thanks for reading!
