Chapter 46 - Is She...?

Tris

"Tris." His voice rings through my head.

It's Tobias.

I open my eyes to see that we are in his apartment and in his bed. My head is on top of his bare chest and his arms are draped around me in a gentle embrace.

"Yeah?" I ask my voice kind of groggy from just waking up.

"It's time to wake up." He says in a rushed tone that changes the mood of the room instantly.

"If you don't get up, he's going to hurt you. You have to get up! Now! Tris! Before he kills you! Get up!" He yells.

As soon as he finishes his sentence the room catches on fire; the bed and all. Everything around me is burning in bright orange and yellow flames. It spreads quicker than wild fire across the whole apartment.

I try to jump out of bed, but as soon as I get up, my injured leg gives out under me and I fall to the ground. My ankles are also shackled together, making me not able to get back up.

I scream in pain as I hit the ground.

"Help! Someone! Help!" I scream so loud my throat burns.

Tobias runs over to me.

"Tris. I- I love you. Never forget that." He says tears falling down his cheeks.

"I love you too." I say.

"Don't worry. You'll find your way out of here. Just remember that I love you so much." He says pressing his lips to mine quick but passionately.

He turns toward the flames.

"Wait! Tobias! No! I love you Tobias! Don't Tobias! No! Tobias!" I scream.

He turns his head and looks at me, then throws himself into the in the bright flames with a scream of pain.

Cara

I wake up when I hear Tris screaming next to me. I roll over and see that she is still asleep but trembling and screaming.

"Tobias! No!" I understand one thing she screams.

Oh no.

She's having a nightmare.

But Tobias?

I would ponder more on where I recognize the name from, but that's not important right now. What's important is getting her to wake up, but not touching her in the process.

Not only does David not want me touching her in any way, but it also seems to freak her out that much more if anyone lays even a finger on her, yet alone looks at her.

I look around and see that Natalie, Andrew and Caleb are also awake. My baby girl is also awake and upset I can tell because of her hard kicking.

"Beatrice. Beatrice honey, wake up." Natalie coos scooting closer to Tris's cell.

"...you! Tobias No!" Tris screams. I couldn't understand part of what she had said.

All of a sudden Tris flys up screaming and breathing heavily. She is trembling and sobbing like crazy as she lies back down holding her one, uninjured knee. She continues to sob and tremble mumbling something I cannot comprehend.

I look over at Caleb and Andrew just to see that they too have a look of terror yet releif on their faces. I'm sure my facial expression mirrors theirs though.

"Beatrice. It's okay. It's okay. You're okay. It's okay. Calm down. It's okay." Natalie coos stroking Tris's hand.

Tris continues to tremble, sob and mumble something. But what is she mumbling?

Derrick comes in probably a few hours later and throws the take out containers of food at us. For once, Tris is actually here to eat. She hasn't been here to eat in probably almost a week.

Tris has stopped trembling a little, but isn't talking to anyone. She's just laying there looking at the wall.

I've finally remembered where I knew the name Tobias from. He's Four. I had completely forgotten that his real name was Tobias. I also realized that when Tris was having the nightmare, she was screaming 'Tobias! No!' So she must have been having a nightmare about him. She also was mumbling his name when she was trembling. So her nightmare must have been involving him somehow.

I continue to eat the piece of bread that was in the take out container along with a piece of lettuce and one medium sized carrot.

The portions that we are getting just keep getting smaller and smaller. We are getting food in longer periods of time now too; it's been four days since they have given us anything to eat, but they give us the cup of water a day still.

Except for Tris; they never would leave anything for her, until now. She has to be starving; not eating in probably seven or more days.

I look over at Tris and see that she is slowly, barely nibbling on a carrot, not looking so well. She is so pale and her hand that holds the carrot; I can tell she's trying to keep her hand from shaking, but it still is shaking a little as she takes a small bite out of the thinner end and chews slowly. She has that crazed, yet very alert look in her eye that shows that she is truly terrified.

I've seen that look before at the hospital, but only on certain people.

No matter how much it kills me to even think about comparing her look to them...

Only the people that were in the mentally unstable section of the hospital.

I push the thought out of my mind as fast as I can and continue to eat the bread. I look and see that Caleb is eating a piece of lettuce, Andrew eating a carrot and Natalie also eating bread.

They have these feeding charts down to a science; we all have the same exact food at the same exact time.

I must say, I can't call them stupid, because they aren't; they're pretty smart unlike most robbers/ kidnappers in the world.

I look back over at Tris and see that she has eaten only like half of her carrot when she stops and drops her carrot on the ground. Quickly she turns around and vomits right by the back of the concrete wall.

"Oh, Tris." Natalie coos moving over to try and comfort her.

Her stomach must have not been use to the the food for not eating in so long, causing her to get sick. Or...

I don't even want to think about it, but I do, the thought haunts me.

Did David r*pe her?

Is this a sign of her being pregnant?

Is she pregnant?

God, I hope not.

'She's not. She's just sick. Her stomach isn't use to food.' I reassure myself trying to push the thought out of my mind, but it won't leave. It stays there lingering in the back of my mind for a long while.

Eventually, Derrick comes around and picks up the take out containers, but leaves the water cups.

"Anyone need the restroom? Last chance." Derrick grumbles.

I had went earlier, and so did everyone else, except for Tris. Everyone tried to talk her into going, but I mean, she can't barely walk and isn't talking, so she continuelessly shook her head refused to go.

"Okay then." He says actually pretty clearly then walks out the door all the way to the left.

I can't help but want to vomit myself at the smell of the vomit in Tris's cell. Being pregnant and sensitive to smells doesn't help the concept that much, but I will manage.

I look over at Tris to see that she's sleeping; passed out actually. She was just awake like two seconds ago, but her steady breathing shows that she is fast asleep.

I just can't pass the topic out of my mind; 'Is she pregnant?'

I want to ask her, but I don't want to scare her or make it worse if David has is going to/ threatened to rape her.

I guess I'll find out eventually.

I look over my right shoulder the best I can with my huge stomach to just look at the little camera in the corner here the side wall and the celing meet at the corner.

Someone I don't recognize pops in and flips off the light switch then leaves before i can ever get a good look at them.

I just lay down, put one blanket under my head and cover myself in the other and fall asleep with one main thought in my head:

Someone will find us.

They have to.

A/N-

Hi humans! Happy Insurgent month!

Sorry it's short! I just wanted to update, but all of my ideas are for Tobias's side of the story right now, but I needed a Tris POV so this was all I had. Just a boring filler chap...
