The Truth
Mikasa had a small smile on her face as she put her blouses and night wear in Levi's closet. Levi had asked her to come live with him since where she lived was far from work and him. She excepted without and hesitation and now she was here.
Mikasa looked around the small closet and studied Levi's organization, white dress shirts on the right and blacks on the left and colors in the middle. She felt the soft cloths and thought about him for a while, she began to daydream until something caught her eye.
Between two shelves there was a gap and in that gap was a black suitcase. She reached for it and placed it in front of her. She felt guilty for even thinking about going through his stuff but he did invite her....and relationships aren't supposed to have secrets. She blushed at the last thought.
She finally opened it. What she saw made her confused..
Hachi laid down next to her and watched her take out the items from the suitcase carefully.
Mikasa observed the handle with triggers that was in the suitcase, it was heavy and felt like it was supposed to be connected to something. She placed the handle down and continued to search through the suitcase, she found only two pictures. One of him and a women they were holding hands in front of a church...and another picture of a mugshot of some man she didn't know. She studied the items and carefully put them back in their original place.
...
"Hey...I'm home" Levi smiled as he entered and saw Mikasa with Hachi.
"Oh...hey" Mikasa mumbled.
Levi immediately caught the hesitation in her voice and turned to her.
"What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
Mikasa turned around and pretended to be occupied.
"Nothings wrong..." Mikasa entered trying not to act to obvious
Mikasa covered her face, she felt ashamed of going through his things... but who was that woman in the picture?
"Levi...I...I didn't mean to go through your things..." Mikasa finally said softly and her head fell in shame.
Levi knew what she was talking about.
"Oh...so you found my instrument" he said softly...it felt weird calling it that after so long.
"By instrument you mean the the handle thing?yeah I found it..." Mikasa said in a slightly angry tone. She didn't know why she was angry though...it was none of her business to begin with after all.
Levi sighed and gestured her to take a seat. He walked away and came back with the suitcase.
He opened it and took out the handle and pictures, then he flipped over the suitcase and twisted one of the decorative buttons on it and the suitcase popped open even more. He took out some papers and another handle.
Levi sat down and organized all of the items on to the table, handling them with care.
"Look you're going to need to pay really close attention to understand this okay? And what ever happens after this conversation is up to you..." Levi told Mikasa and began.
"My full name is Levi Ackerman which you already know, but my last name has a very significant meaning to it and apparently so does yours." Levi continued.
"Look...I have some weird blood in me...my dna, my genetics have something in them that make me a valuable human. Listen... I never had a father or mother my uncle took care of me, he took care of me until I was 14 and after that he just disappeared... but before he disappeared he taught me things...." Levi hesitated.
"What did he teach you" Mikasa asked curios.
"How to survive...how to survive this cruel world, how to defend myself from robbers, how to steal correctly....and how to take another humans life...." Levi hesitated yet again. He felt ashamed as he reminisced on everything he did before he got his life together.
Mikasa nodded and thought about what he said. She couldn't imagine Levi committing any crimes especially the way he is now...but that doesn't mean people can't change. She wondered what else he was hiding from her but she pushed that thought to the corner of her brain.
"What about the weird handles?" Mikasa asked nervously waiting for a response.
"It's part of a gear called ODM gear," he sighed and held the handles, he held them as if he was remembering...remembering the crimes he did with his "instrument".
"It's supposed to make you fly...and maneuver through the air...my ancestors many years ago used it to defend kings and important men, the reason I said I have weird blood is because no other person despite a Ackerman could use it properly apparently. The only difference about this gear and my ancestors was that their gear held buckshot pistols meant to kill humans...." Levi said as he grabbed the rest of the gear from another closet.
"And what does your gear use?" Mikasa asked curiously petting Hachis head.
"Swords" Levi answered and attached the sharp blades to the handles.
...
It was 2am, hardly anyone was outside anymore and there was barely traffic. Levi and Mikasa stood on the roof looking down to the streets.
"Watch" Levi said and jumped off the roof ledge. Mikasa gasped and looked down to see Levi falling.
Levi gained his momentum and spinned around and shot his grapples to another apartment building the gas in the canister shot and he began to gain speed. He landed on the side of the building and began to run. He jumped off and shot another building doing the same technique for another six times. He finally went back to his apartment building and flew up, he spun around and slid on the ceiling. He finally stood up and faced Mikasa.
Mikasa glared at Levi's armor, her eyes widened with amazement.
"So what do you think? You want to try?" Levi asked smiling at Mikasa.
"Um... I don't know honestly..." she paused and suddenly remembered.
"Levi...who was that man in the picture?" Mikasa asked as she put on the gear.
Levi's blood turned cold and his once calm eyes turned dark and grim.
"That's my uncle..." he answered and continued to help Mikasa with the gear.
"And the woman?" She asked with a blush,
This time Levi's heart dropped and he stopped helping her. His eyes thinned out even more.
"My Wife."
....
Fin.
Lmao just kidding.
