Warning: There is some drinking in this chapter. I am in no way stating that drinking is a good thing to do, because I personally have never had an alcholic drink in my life and probably won't for a long time.
-----
I sat in the passenger seat of the car, the headphones in my ears. Shinedown blasted my ears as I watched the buildings and cars pass, my eyes trailing some fields often. We were out all day just shopping and we ate lunch at a pretty nice restaurant.
We were on our way to the next store, driving of course, when I moved my leg and I felt something pass through me. I froze, knowing that feeling all to well after being a teenage girl for most of my life.
I bit own on my lip and cursed myself. I knew I should have checked the calender.
"Jackson." I rip my headphone out and turn to look at him.
He gives me a quizzical look. "Yeah?"
"We need to go back to the hotel. Now." I didn't know how much time I had left before my undergarments were completely ruined and my jeans would stain.
"Why?" he asks, face turning concerned.
"It's an emergency," I hissed, pushing my legs tighter together.
Lucy, Quince, and Amanda seemed to get the message because they shared knowing glances. Quince leans forward between us. "Jackson, we're tired anyways. Can we please go back?"
Jackson frowned deeper, studying us for a moment as if considering the possibilities of the sudden change in mood. "Alright," he relented. As he turned around he asks, "Can you at least tell me what's wrong?'
"You don't want to know."
"Faye, I'm sure I can handle it."
"Okay, it's your funeral." I take a deep breath. "I started my period."
"We better hurry," he said, speeding up.
--------
I walk out of the bathroom, feeling ten times better now that I've cleaned up. I flop down on the couch beside Jackson and he wraps his arm around me.
"You better now?" he asked me, rubbing circles on my arm as he watched the television. I notice the tiniest of features on his face. The way he smiles every time something happy or amusing happens. It's a crooked sort of smile, a lazy smile. His eyes were beautiful.
"Much." I took his hand in mine and rose it to my lips. I kissed all of his fingers slowly, not taking my eyes from him. He turns his face to me, a gentle smile appearing on his face as he watched me kiss his fingers again.
"I'm glad." He kisses my shoulder, eyes soft and caring as he did so. His hands trailed up my waist to my face, his thumb trailing along my jawline and my lips.
I close my eyes, pleasure coursing through me as he touched me. "You're getting awfully curious, mister."
I felt him stop for a moment, and pulling his hands away. I open my eyes, disappointed that he removed his hands. I was about to tell him to continue, but he pushed me onto my back and hovered over me.
"Curious?" he asked me playfully, nipping my lip. I giggle, a blush forming on my face. "I was merely appreciating the beauty."
"Oh yes?" I whisper, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling his face closer. I could smell his shampoo which was intoxicating, making my senses go into hyper alert. "I didn't know touching was appreciating." I trailed my finger down his face, a smile tugging my lips.
"There's all kind of ways to show it," he whispered back, voice deep. "Mine is just unique."
I chuckle, shaking my head at him. "You're impossible, Mr. Hades."
He smirks leaning down and kissing me passionately, longing in the kiss. He pulled away and said, "I won't deny it, Mrs. Hades."
I smile, tugging his collar and pulling him forward. We kissed for a long moment, but he pulled away hesitantly.
I frown and look up at him, tilting my head. "Why'd you pull away?"
He pulled me up with him so we were in sitting position. "We should wait until you're off your period."
I lean back against the couch and groan, feeling sexually frustrated now. "You can be so cruel sometimes."
"Cruel?" he asks, sounding surprised as he looked at me.
"You teased me," I whine, pouting like a child. "You can't just do that to me."
"I'm sorry," he said, wrapping his arm around me and kissing my head.
"I'm going to have to spend a week being moody, bloated, hormonal, and sexually frustrated." I sighed, pulling my hair up into a bun and grimaced at the television.
Jackson himself looked to be dreading the future. "Remind me to be super nice to you this week. I'd rather not piss you off when you're in that situation."
"Good choice, buddy." I smiled at him, elbowing him in the ribs playfully.
He grunts, glaring at me in fake annoyance. "Evil thing you are."
"Ah ah." I waved my finger at him, as if chiding him. "Remember the decision of not pissing me off?"
He grumbled something under his breath, scowling at the television. "I hate mother nature."
"So do I, Jackson."
---
I knock on Lucy and Amanda's hotel room. Lucy swung it open and I entered without so much as a hello.
"You look.." Lucy trailed off. "I don't know..tired?"
"I'm frustrated and annoyed and hungry and sad and happy and bloaty and fat," I told her sadly, sitting on one of the beds and letting the storm cloud rain down on me.
"Aww." She sits down by me, patting my shoulder sympathetically. "The time of month has really hit you hard this time, I see."
"Yeah," I said sadly, putting my chin in my hands and sighing. "I want nothing more than to sleep, watch cheesy movies and cry, destroy something, and go to a bounce house. It's pretty bad."
"Especially since you can't jump Jackson's bones no matter how much you want to." Lucy smirked at me, amusement glinting in her eyes.
I raise my head and glare at her. "How the frick did you know about that?"
Lucy shrugged, still smirking. "Faye, it's not rocket science. We're all sexual beings at heart, but when we're going through our period it's intensified by ten."
Amanda called from the mini kitchen, "More like twenty!"
Lucy and I laugh quietly, and I felt my spirits rise a little despite the mood I was in. "I hate being a girl sometimes."
"Don't we all," Amanda said, walking into the room with a three sodas in her hand. She passed me and Lucy one and I opened mine, instantly taking a large drink of it. "I hope you added some sort of vodka to this."
"Since when do you drink?" Lucy stared at me.
"Since now. Besides, this would be the first time."
Amanda shrugged and got up, disappearing into the mini kitchen.
"Are you sure you want to drink now, Faye?" Lucy turned to me, raising her eyebrows in question. "You've never had a drink in your life."
"That's why I just wanna have a try."
"Alright." She sighed, nodding. "It's strong, though. I've only had the stuff twice."
"I'll live."
Amanda returned with three glasses full of ice, and a bottle of clear liquid in it. She poured some in each glass and handed it to us. "Poor the soda in with the vodka," she told me, popping the soda open to her can and pouring it in the glass with the vodka.
I did that as well and shook it gently, looking at the glass. It looked like normal soda. I brought it to my lips and took a sip. I would've gasped, had there not been liquid in my mouth. The taste was sharp and made me cringe the moment it hit my tonuge. I forced myself to swallow it, and my body obliged. The liquid slithered down my throat, burning and stinging.
I set the glass down on the side table quickly, coughing heavily. My eyes were watering and I leaned over to catch my breath.
"Told you it was strong stuff," Lucy said, patting my back and downing her glass in seconds before setting it next to mine.
I shook my head a few times, smacking my lips together and scrunching my face up in disgust. "I don't know how people drink it."
Amanda shrugged, taking a drink of hers. "It's not something that should be drank in a whole week. It's like meant to be a drink that someone could have every now and then. People just like drinking it by the loads."
I shudder, wiping my mouth. "Yeah, um, I'll hold off on the alchohol for a few more years."
"Good idea." Lucy pats my shoulder.
"How long have you been drinking?" I ask, turning my gaze from Lucy to her empty glass.
"I've had drinks before," she told me, tapping her finger on her knee as she thought. "Maybe ten all together."
"Ten?" I eye her, eyebrows raised in surprise.
"Yeah." She shrugged. "I used to party a lot when you were at home studying. I didn't like being alone in my house with Rosanna and Amanda."
"Thanks." Amanda rolled her eyes, downing the rest of her drink.
"Can you blame me?" Lucy demands, turning to her sister. "You were freaking scary."
"Glad to know." She got up and gathered the glasses. "I didn't like Rosanna to be honest. She was so.."
"Controlling?" Lucy offered.
Amanda gestured to Lucy with the glasses in her hand. "Right." She turns and walks to the mini kitchen.
"I'm gonna go." I got up, yawning and looking out the window.
"Alright." Lucy got up as well. She handed me my bag and walked me towards the door.
"Thanks for talking to me and letting me try a drink." I grimaced as I remember the disgusting taste.
"Anytime." She hugged me and I left.
--
So this is sort of a longer chapter.
I almost deleted the drinking scene, but Faye has never had that experience so I'd thought I would give it to her.
See you next time!
