Chapter 15: This Is Why I Don't Shop With You
Hello everyone! I hope you had a good week. I didn't, I had the flu all week long so now I have to catch up on homework and whatnot.

"You know I don't wear skirts, Lucy," I said dryly, glaring at the skirt in her hands. "Put it away. Now."
"Just try it on, Faye," she begged, giving me wide eyes. "Please?"
"No. Now put it away," I said again, crossing my arms. I turn away from her and look back at the racks, fingering through the pairs of jeans that look like they're comfy. I slip a light pair from the rack and look at the size, which is mine. I fold the pair over my arms to try on and continue looking.
"What about this?" Lucy holds up a flashy short shirt in my face, making me gag.
"Lucy, stop with the slutty clothing," I said, pushing it away. "I don't want anything short, flashy, or revealing."
She pouted. "But-"
"No." I point to the place she got it from. "Put it away."
"Yes, mother," I heard her mother as she walked away.
I continue looking at jeans, finding a couple more pairs that I liked before moving on to the shirts. I skimmed through most of the shelves, finding a few things that caught my eye. Every now and then I grabbed some from the shame shelf that I really liked.
About another hour later, we all left the store with more than three shopping bags in hand. Even Jackson had pleasured himself with buying a few new shirts, a pair of shoes, jeans, and a new shaving kit he so desperately needed, apparently.
"I'm hungry," Quince commented as we piled into the car after loading the trunk with our new stuff. "Really hungry. Shopping can really make one hungry."
"I am too," I said, holding up a hand and smiling sheepishly.
"Faye, you're always hungry," Lucy tells me, rolling her eyes.
"That's true." I nod in agreement, "Which is why it's always good to keep me fed."
"Food it is," Jackson says, backing out of the parking lot.
----
"Stop stealing my fries!" I snarl, digging my teeth into Lucy's hand. I caught her snatching more fries, which was pissing me off. The first two times I could live with it, the third time I grabbed her hand and bit her.
"OW!" She pulled her hand from my mouth, caressing it and glaring at me. "What the hell?"
"You deserved it," I snapped childishly, drawing my food closer to me and sending glares at Quince, Amanda, and Jackson as they stared at me. "No touching my food unless you wanna end up like Lucy."
They glanced at each other, the looks on their face telling me that they think I'm crazy. I shrug and continue to eat my food, ignoring the looks they would often give me. I warned them, so they can try to take my food if they want but they'll suffer the consequences.
"So, what do we do about the whole war thing?" I asked, nibbling on a fry. I glance from Jackson to Lucy, waiting for any sign of response. They don't even so much as look at each other after the question slips from my mouth.
"What about it?" Quince asked, flipping through her magazine. Her eyes flicker to Lucy's, and they meet gazes for a moment. Realization dawned on me..
"You know too, don't you?" I snapped at Quince, growing hot with anger. "About the plan?"
A look of guilt spreads across her face. "Yes, I do..We all do."
I slammed my glass on the counter, causing everyone to jump in their seats. "What you mean to tell me.." I said in a low voice, "..is that Jackson and Lucy let you in on this plan?"
"We've been apart of it the whole time," Amanda replied, causing Lucy to lean over and slap the back of her neck. "I mean..um.."
"Too late, Amanda," Jackson snapped at her in frustration, clenching his fists.
"Why are you keeping it from me?" I demanded angrily, trying to control my anger and not yell at them in the restaurant. "Why?"
"We plan on telling you, Faye," Lucy starts, "just not yet-"
"Not yet isn't good enough!" I growled, glaring at her. "Not yet is continuing to keep me in the damn dark. Tell me now."
Jackson sighed, pushing his plate aside. "Faye, we went over this remember?"
"I didn't know Quince and Amanda were in on it," I spat at him. "You piss me off the most, so I suggest shutting up!"
Jackson's jaw dropped in utter shock, but he didn't say anymore. Lucy spoke up, "Look, we can't tell you because of this very reason. You get easily upset, you'd try to change everything and would ruin the whole plan."
"Ruin the plan?" I repeat quietly, pursing my lips. "Easily upset.."
"Yes," Quince said as gently as possible. "You're sensitive. Anything could trigger a bad move for you Faye, and then-"
"-And then I'd screw everything up," I reply dryly. "Right."
"I wasn't going to say that."
"Faye you've been such a bitch lately," Lucy said, frowning at me. "No offense, really, but you get pissed over the slightest of things."
"Can you blame me?"
"Do you see me being bitchy about my situation?" she growled, standing up as well and glaring at me. "I turned my back on my own family, yet I'm not moody about it."
"You're telling me you have a plan that I could easily screw up with my easily triggered sensitivity, and you voted not telling my parents about this war. Excuse me for not taking this so calmly!" I snarl at her, leaning across the table.
"You are so hard headed and stubborn!" she told me, eyes flaring angrily back. "I can't even have a proper conversation with you!"
"Again, I apologize for my stupitiy. I didn't realize I was supposed to be sweet and obedient right now," I shot back, grabbing my stuff.
"Grow up!" she spat at me, lip curling back. "It's not all about you!"
I whirl around on her, backing her to the wall. "How dare you! I never said this was all about me! But here I am, scared, hurt, lost, and walking alone down a dark hall while you all have the light to see where you're going! While I stumble and fall, you can walk confidently!" I slam her into the wall before storming out of the restaurant.
------
Well, things escalated quickly..
So do you think Faye's overreacting about this plan they have? Or do you think her friends are wrong to hide this from her?
Until next time, beauties!
