Y/ n pov

When I came to the skelebros house, papyrus was waiting by the front door for me. After walking into town, turning around, and walking back to the house, papyrus welcomed me inside. Papyrus then took me to the kitchen and said, "BEFORE WE START, I WANT TO TELL YOU WHY I SPARED YOU SO SOON". I said "ok?", allowing him to continue. "WHEN I SAW  THAT YOUR SOUL LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE OURS, AND YOU USED MAGIC LIKE A MONSTER. I FIGURED THAT YOU MUST BE A MONSTER, SINCE UNDYNE NEEDS HUMAN SOULS TO BREAK THE BARRIER, CAPTURING YOU WOULDN'T MAKE SENSE". I said "ok" again, seeing if he had anything more to say, but he didn't. Welp, I just created an awkward silence, good job me. Papyrus then asked "SO... WHAT CAN YOU TURN INTO ANYWAY? SANS IS OUT AT GRILLBYS RIGHT NOW, SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT HIM", I then asked him "well, what do you want me to turn into?". Papyrus asked me to do a skeleton, and I did. Apparently, it looked a lot like a female version of Sans, because that's what papyrus said to me. After asking me to turn into a bird, a wolf, and a cat; he asked me to turn into a human again. I returned back to normal, and then sans appeared inside the house. I jumped, startled by the sudden appearance. Papyrus was unfazed though, I guess sans does this a lot. Sans then said "hey bro, can I borrow y/ n here for a little bit? I need to talk to her about something". Pap nodded, and I followed sans to his room, my curiosity rising by the second. When sans closed the door, the lights in his eyes were now gone. The look that he gave me was terrifying, he said "I know your secret y/n, I know you can shapeshift. I watched your battle with paps, I didn't even have to help you". I sighed, hanging my head down in shame, tears brimming my eyes. Sans said "man, that lady behind the big door is really concerned about you. Well, more like she thought you were dead", my head perked up suddenly. I said "wait you know Toriel? Do you know why she attacked me?", sans looked surprised and said "wait she attacked you? Tori said that she saw that flower next to your bag and cloak. She thought the flower had killed you". I was in shock, Toriel didn't hate me, this was just a misunderstanding. I asked "so... you don't hate me now that you know I can shapeshift?", sans' pinpricks returned and he said, "why would I hate you kiddo?". I then explained how every time anyone found out I could shapeshift, they would end up hating me on the surface. What sans did next surprise me, sans hugged me. I don't know why, but I broke into tears. I finally felt like I could trust someone, and they were sans and papyrus.

(Time skip)

After the heart felt moment between me and sans, I decided to go to the ruins door. I knocked twice and waited, not knowing what to expect. I then knocked again, this time though, I heard a shaky sigh. It sounded like someone was crying, I asked shyly "t-toriel? Are you there?". I then heard toriel say "my child? Is it really you?", I nodded and said "yeah, it's me. If you want to, you can open the door and see me yourself". The door then opened and holy crap toriel was a mess. Looks like she had an emotional break down, before I could comment though, toriel wrapped me in a big hug. It felt really nice actually, so I returned the hug. "The skeleton brothers are taking care of me for the time being, do you wanna meet them?", I asked. Toriel let go of me and said "yes my child", I was about to take toriel to the house, but sans and papyrus were just up ahead. I wonder how long they've been standing there. After toriel meets sans and papyrus, toriel told me to visit her again sometime, and went back into the ruins. "Welp, that happened". I then turned around and started walking home, sans and papyrus quickly caught up with me. "Looks like you'll be living with us now", sans said. I weakly smiled and said "thank you", the skeleton brothers nodded as we all approached the house. Thinking back on all of today's events, so much has happened. Papyrus opened the door and sans and I entered. I plopped down on the couch, beginning to process all of today's events. As I thought about it, my eyes began to feel heavy as exhaustion settled in. It continued, and I was pulled into a peaceful, dreamless sleep.

I feel something poking my forehead, pulling Mr out of my peaceful slumber. I swear it away and sleepily say "five more... hours", I hear sans chuckle and say "trust me I would sleep for another five hours too, but dinner is ready. We don't want papyrus mad at us right?". I sighed, I didn't want to burden the skelebros any more than I already have, so I lazily force myself to sit up, stretching in the process. Sans followed me to the kitchen, where papyrus was waiting with a pot full of spaghetti. I sat down at the table, spotting the parmesan cheese. After papyrus puts a spoonful of spaghetti on my plate, I take the parmesan cheese and pour it over my spaghetti until the top was completely white. I look up to see sans and papyrus staring at me with shocked and weirded out expressions. I said "what, I like cheese with my pasta. Now stop staring at me like that", with that, the skeleton brothers went back to eating their food. Once I was done, I shape shifted into a dove and grabbed my plate with my talons and my fork with my beak before flying up to the incredibly tall sink to put my dishes away. Sans stated "this shape shifting thing is gonna take a while to get used to", papyrus nodded in agreement.
