I opened my eyes to see a red colored ceiling. Where am I? I sat up only to clutch my head in pain. A dizzy feeling washed over me. I then heard soft breathing from my left. I turned to see Sans, asleep on the floor. Once my headache went away, I began to feel awkward. Should I wake him up? I don't want to disturb him, but I don't wanna just lay here awkwardly until he wakes up either. I began to slowly sit myself up, I then tip toed toward the door. To my dismay, the door was very creaky. When I opened it, it was obvious that the door hadn't been oiled in over half a year. I then heard sans say "where are ya going kid", I jumped, startled by sans' voice. I turned towards him and said "I'm sorry, it's just that you were asleep, and I didn't want to wake you and.....", I sighed in defeat and said "sorry". Sans got up and said "you've got nothing to be sorry for kid, though, I'd like to know why you were crying in your sleep", I looked down and said "I'd rather not talk about it". Sans just nodded, giving a slight hum. My stomach made a loud growl, and it was then that I realized how hungry I was. When was the last time I even ate something? Sans chuckled and asked in amusement "ya hungry y/n", I nodded, blushing in embarrassment. Sans opened up his door the rest of the way, and said "c'mon, pap made some spaghetti for us". I followed him to the living room, where sans plopped down on the couch and fell asleep. Now THAT, is something most people can't do, I was thoroughly impressed. Papyrus' voice came from the kitchen, he yelled "SANS IS THE HUMAN UP YET? I WANT THEM TO TRY MY SPAGHETTI". I poked my head into the kitchen to see papyrus stirring spaghetti noodles with a wooden cooking spoon, papyrus turned toward and instantly started freaking out. Needless to say it was funny to watch, but I couldn't help but be a bit concerned that he might fling spaghetti onto the ceiling. Thankfully, no spaghetti was flung, but papyrus was acting like a child that drank 15 cups of coffee. Once he calmed down, he declared that he was going to fight me to join the royal guard. My stomach growled again, and pap just said "UHH, WE'LL FIGHT AFTER YOU EAT MY DELICIOUS SPAGHETTI". Papyrus quickly set a plate of spaghetti in front of me, accompanied by a fork to eat it with. Aside from the few pieces of glitter I found in the sauce, it was pretty good. Once we finished the spaghetti, papyrus yelled "ALRIGHT HUMAN, NOW WE SHALL HAVE OUR BATTLE" this woke sans up from his nap. Papyrus grabbed my hand and literally dragged me out of the house. Sans followed behind us, and then disappeared. I said "but papyrus, I don't wanna fight you", papyrus said "NYEH HEH HEH". Papyrus let go of my hand, dropping me in the snow. When I got up, I saw him disappear into the mist. I followed his rather large boot prints, calling out his name in the process. I then saw papyrus' silhouette in the mist, and the mist cleared in less than three seconds. I don't know how he did it, but I won't question it. Papyrus spoke up, "HUMAN, ALLOW ME TO TELL YOU ABOUT SOME COMPLEX FEELINGS. FEELINGS LIKE WHEN YOU FIND ANOTHER PASTA LOVER, OR WHEN YOU MEET SOMEONE WHO ALSO LOVES PUZZLES...... THESE FEELINGS, THEY MUST BE WHAT YOU'RE FEELING RIGHT NOW". Is it just me, or is papyrus talking about himself a little too. Papyrus continued "I PITY YOU, LONELY HUMAN, BUT FEAR NO LONGER. FOR I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL BE YOUR-", papyrus cut himself off and turned around. He said "NO... I CANNOT BE YOUR FRIEND. I HAVE TO CAPTURE YOU TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD", with that, a f/c (favorite color) heart appeared in front of me. What threw me off about it was the fact that it was upside down like a monster soul, but colored like a humans. Maybe it's because I can shape shift? I'm not sure. I was brought out of my thoughts by a few bones that flew toward me. Since there weren't a lot of them, it was easy to dodge. Four buttons appeared in front of me, fight, act, item, and mercy. I pressed act, more buttons popped up. Check, flirt, insult, and shape shift. I didn't like any of those options, so I hit the mercy button. I then hit spare, I kept doing doing this for a while. Eventually, I decided to flirt with him, just to throw him off. You know, mess with him a little. I wasn't expecting him to take it seriously, Welp, I guess I have a date with papyrus after this. That's gonna be an interesting night, papyrus then threw a lot of bones at me, and I mean a LOT of bones. To avoid getting hit, and without thinking, I turned into a dove and flew over the bones. Once the attack was over, I turned back into my human form. Once I realized what I just did, tears welled up in my eyes. I was expecting them to turn me away now that they new about my ability to transform, but they didn't. In fact, papyrus even ended the fight, granting me mercy. I, of course, took his mercy, before crying a little. I said "it's ok if you don't wanna be my f-friend anymore papyrus, I'm sorry", papyrus asked "HUMAN, WHY WOULD I NOT WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND?". I replied "because I'm a freak. Most people who found out about this turned me away.", papyrus said "WELL, I THINK ITS PRETTY COOL. I'M PRETTY SURE SANS WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT TOO". I quickly said "no, please. Can this just be our secret? I don't think sans would like it given how dangerous this power can be", papyrus smiled warmly at me and nodded. He then said "WELL HUMAN, IT WAS NICE TO TALK TO YOU. IF YOU WANNA STAY WITH SANS AND I, AND GO OUT ON THAT DATE. MY HOUSE IS OVER THAT WAY", with that, papyrus walked onto the air, over my head, and back on the ground. I wonder if he knows how many laws of physics he just broke, heh, I'm one to talk. Shape shifting kinda breaks some laws of physics too. Well, I guess I'm going back to the skelebros house.
