..::< Welcome to the Club - 11 >::..

"Liam what the hell are you doing not in Primrock?" I asked angrily, not exactly knowing how to respond to the situation.

The little turd put a hand over his heart, "Awe Robin, you sound like you aren't happy to see me." He pouted dramatically.

"What the hell? That didn't answer my question. And of course I'm happy to see you! I think!..." I had entirely no reason to be mad, but I was very confused. And confusion made Robin angry.

Also why did I say I was happy to see him?

Liam smirked devilishly and strode over to me, which slightly scared me. He backed me into the wall and leaned close to my face, whispering, "You're really cute when you're frazzled."

Now I was actually angry, knowing he was just trying to get to me. I pushed him away and attempted to hide the redness in my cheeks. Why was this boy so attractively irritating?

"You still haven't told me why you were here, officer." I demanded.

Liam chuckled and out his hands up, "Relax Robin, I'm just messing with my favorite delinquent. It's been like a week since I've seen you! I'm so proud that you're staying out of trouble. And technically you don't need to call me officer right now, I'm off duty." He winked at me, but when my annoyed expression didn't change, he finally answered my original question, "I'm 99% sure I'm here the same reason you are Robin... Photography Club."

My eyes widened in confusion and I still had no idea what was going on. "But why are you here, in Duston?"

"Well I could be asking you the same thing," Liam checked the watch on his wrist, "You know what, we can explain stories later. Don't wanna be late now do we?" As he said this, he tried to grab my hand but I instinctively pulled away. Liam cocked his head slightly and winked at me, then continued walking ahead. With an explanation missing, I was still unsure of what was going on, but I was glad that a was going into this club thing with a familiar face. An even bigger plus was that the face was Liam's. I mean I guess... I caught up to his side and followed him down the hallway, starting to regret not letting him take my hand.

And WHY was I allowing myself to think this? Who the hell knows.

We entered our destination together and were met with a group of about eight other people. The fact that everyone turned their head as soon as we entered, not helping my nerves, as if they could smell our unfamiliarity. Nevertheless, everyone seemed harmless. Ages ranging between teens to young adults. Even though I saw a few people that looked my age, I wasn't ready to bust in this place like a social bee. Sadly, Liam was. While I attempted to hide behind him, Liam graciously waved to the room.

"Hello everyone." He greeted confidently before he went to find an empty seat in the middle of the classroom. After Liam left me behind, heads turned to me, probably expecting the same type of greeting. Instead quickly held up a hand as a cheap wave, then ignored everyone's eyes and scurried to a seat next to Liam.

A few hellos and welcomes were given to us, Liam returned them all. I wasn't sure when this club first started, but it seemed like everyone here was pretty comfortable with one another. I noticed some people sharing photos, and a few others showing off and comparing cameras.

Even with the positive vibes and sureness that everyone here was pretty cool, I still had the mindset of staying to myself unless spoken to first. I could be a social and friendly butterfly, but that would be after I learned whether or not I could open up to someone.

Thankfully there wasn't any time for even trying to start conversations because everyone started to quiet down when the person who I had assumed was the "club leader" had began to enter the room.

Now, I wasn't sure if people stopped talking because the class was about to start, or because they were in awestruck at the sexy angel who had just walked in.

Like. Damn.

Chiseled jaw, slick black hair, built body. He was wearing a buttoned up shirt with the sleeves rolled up the his elbows, which everyone knew was an immediate panty dropper. I was praying this dude was the God of Photography, cause I was ready to be a Goddess.

"Psst, Robin, close your mouth before you catch flies." Liam whispered over to me, taking me out of my trance.

I stuck my tongue out at him. "You're just jealous cause I don't stare at you like that." I spat.

Liam's cheeks turned red and he kept quiet after that. I humphed and looked forward again at the model who stood perfectly in front of the classroom. Then the meeting began. My heart immediately fluttered when the man (who introduced himself as Mr. Thomas) started talking. His voice was low and husky, and again, I was in a trance, unable to remove my attention from him. Not like I'd even want to.

Besides the eye candy we were gifted, the meeting wasn't all that, but still pretty interesting. Sadly, it was almost like an actual class. Mr. Thomas showed us slideshows of basic tips and tricks on how to capture photos. How certain focuses deserved certain angles. He clicked his remote to move his projector to the next slide, and a picture of a rose came on the screen. First it was from a front facing profile view, then another click and it was the same rose from a bird's eye view, one more click and the same rose from a worm's eye view. It peaked my interest at how different each of the shots looked, like they were completely different flowers in different places.

I hadn't realized how awed my expression must've been until Mr. Thomas looked in my direction and winked at me. Quickly I closed my mouth, but my eyes stayed wide and cheeks began to flush red.

"It's always a pleasure to see my members learning new things." He suddenly said aloud to the class, and the embarrassment grew in my face. I looked down at my desk with an annoyed expression, and stayed like that for the rest of the class.

When 7pm rolled around, and Mr. Thomas said his goodbyes to the class, everyone gathered their things and left decently quick. I attempted to leave just as fast, following Liam to the path out the door. But after he successfully exited, I was stopped by a stiff arm blocking the doorway.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but for the last half of class your interest seemed to make a complete one-eighty." Mr. Thomas said curiously.

I looked up at the attractive man and could barely hold eye contact. Being this close to him wasn't helping my discomfort.

"Well I-.. Well sir you quite frankly embarrassed me in front of the whole class." I said vexly.

Mr. Thomas raised an eyebrow and put a hand to his chest, "I'm dearly sorry miss?" He paused, waiting for me.

I looked him up and down, "Robin."

"Robin," He nodded his head, " I'm dearly sorry, Robin. That was not my intention. I was sincerely appreciative at how much you actually seemed to be taking in. But I assure you, no one in the classroom paid any mind when I made that comment. I didn't, nor was trying to single you out." He apologized.

I looked to the floor with a clearer mind. "It's alright, Mr. Thomas. I was just being the timid newbie. It's been a crazy week for me and I can't help but be on edge."

He smiled and held a hand out to me, "Is photography a new interest? Or an ongoing hobby?" He asked.

"Very ongoing," I replied, returning the smile and shaking his hand.

Mr. Thomas nodded again, "Well then, I hope to see you here again, maybe with some shots to share?"

I agreed and finally gave my good bye, exiting the room feeling more relaxed about returning next time.

Back in the main hallways, I barely had time to make my way in the direction of the buildings exit before a hand suddenly wrapped around my arm, causing my movement to halt.

I turned around, already annoyed at whoever had the audacity to grab me without permission, and I was all but shocked to find the hand attached to Liam. Who seemed to have been waiting for me to finally come out of the classroom.

For some reason I hesitated in pulling away. We met eyes and paused for a moment of silence, then as I finally took back my arm, Liam sadly broke it.

"Geez, already trying to snag a sugar daddy?" He chuckled.

Why did nearly everything that came out of this boy's mouth have to come with the intent to irritate me?

"Oh shut the hell up!" I said maybe a little too loud for being indoors, receiving a few looks from others in the hallway. Thankfully they held no interest and kept walking. "Christ," I continued with my inside voice, "Why are you even here Liam?"

The boy reached into his pockets and pulled out a police badge.

Liam Warren Duston Police Department.

"I was only in Primrock for my training. When I finished that, I got moved up here and ranked as an official certified officer." He paused and smirked at me, "Or what I suppose you would like to call a 'big boy'."

His pandering joke actually cracked a smile on my face. "Okay, but what about here? Joining photography clubs?" I asked, calmed down.

"Well Robin, believe it or not, I've been doing photography for a few years now."

This caught my completely off guard and I actually laughed. "A big boy officer like you enjoying taking photos? You're right, I don't believe it." I scoffed.

Liam tilted his head and smirked again at me, "Oh really? Like people look at you and immediately think 'photographer' either."

I leered at him and his cocky attitude. "Whatever, Liam." As I turned to walk away from the conversation, he grabbed my arm again, this time I didn't pull away, but threw my other arm in the air, "What now?!"

He smirked wider, "You still haven't answered why you were here. Besides, can you even remember how to get out of here?"

I facepalmed with my free hand and groaned in defeat. Why were to cute guys either gay or annoying?

As we walked down the hallways together, I caught Liam up on everything that had happened to me leading up to today. I expected Liam to have a plethora of questions when I finished talking, but all he asked was;

"Are you happy?"

The question threw me off guard and I paused my walking to think about it. Since I was acknowledged of David's existence, I had gone through a roller coaster of emotions. But where did I stand right now?

The man I now call my guardian makes me feel as wanted as a family member should. Not only doe she say how much he cares, but he actually shows it in a plethora of ways. Yes I still miss the foster home, but thankfully I have a real home now where I feel like I belong. As a family. So..

"Yeah, I am happy." I finally said, finishing my thoughts out loud.

Liam smiled warmly at me, "Good. That's all I ever want you to be. C'mon let me take you home."
