He Knows

Gregor's POV

He knew. He had fucking known it all along, but to see confirmation was a completely different story. You were cheating. With his own damn brother. Gregor was livid. Absolutely livid. He had given you everything. Money, protection, a beautiful home and in return, you'd betrayed him. Not to mention, you hadn't been very good at pleasing him anyway. Now he knew why. You were using all your energy fucking Sandor.

"That bitch," he muttered to himself as his paced in his office. His rage grew with every passing second. As the sun sank in the sky, he knew you weren't going to be back that night. You hated driving at night. All the better. He could find one of his many women to take out his frustration on and then he would be able to think clearly. He would find a way to make you pay for the betrayal. You would suffer, Gregor would be sure of it.

Normal POV

Gregor was far from your mind as you lay next to Sandor. Neither of you gave much thought to food or anything else. In fact, you probably would have been content to remain the way you were all night if not for the harsh cry of your newborn. "I need to feed him," you said with a soft, content sigh. "I'll get him. Stay put." You rolled your eyes playfully at Sandor's order.

You watched while Sandor gently picked up Y/S/N and carried him over to you. He looked positively petrified holding the infant and you giggled a little. "You won't hurt him, Sandor. I promise." Sandor glanced down at Y/S/N and then back to you. "He's so damn tiny." He carefully handed him over. "Only to you, you big lummox." It was Sandor's turn to roll his eyes. "Would you grab me a protein bar from the diaper bag? I need to eat while I nurse."

After doing what you asked, Sandor crawled back into bed and gingerly pulled you close again so to not disturb the nursing child. The two of you were quiet and Sandor was struck speechless by how natural it all felt. This was something he never knew he wanted. But he could honestly see this in his future. Only with you. There was one rather large obstacle in your way. Gregor.

While it seemed you were able to temporarily forget about your husband, the blossoming bruises on your cheek and neck fueled a rage in Sandor toward his brother he'd never felt before. True, he'd never really loved Gregor. You could even go so far as to say he hated the man, but he'd never wanted to hurt him or kill him as badly as he did now.

"What's going on in that head of yours?" you asked, kissing him on the cheek. "I hate him. I hate what he did to you." You gave Sandor a weak smile. "I know. I hate him too, but there's nothing we can do until I can leave him. But soon, if you still want to, you can be together with no obstacles."

"Are you mad, woman? Of course I still want to. I'm here with you now, aren't I?" You laughed lightly as you shifted Y/S/N to the other side. "I want this. I want you and Y/S/N to live with me. We'll move to a house in the country, away from all this shit." You hummed, your eyes drifting closed. "I'd like that. Very much." Sandor chuckled to himself. He'd wake you when Y/S/N was done nursing.

The next morning came too soon for Sandor's liking. But seeing you in his kitchen in his shirt made it worth waking up. You were cooking, something Gregor rarely let you do. He had a professional cook for that. Sandor loved it, however. He came up and wrapped his arms around your middle.

"I've had a thought," you said softly. Sandor hummed in response. "How about, I drop Y/S/N off with my sibling and we spend the afternoon together? I've got a pump here so I can express some milk for Y/S/N. I've missed you." Sandor gave you a squeeze. "I like the sound of that. It's been too long since I've had you all to myself." You chuckled.

Later that day, after dropping Y/S/N off, you spent the afternoon in a tangle of sheets and limbs with Sandor. It was pure bliss for the both of you. In between love-making, you laid together and talked about your future. You were going to leave Gregor with Y/S/N. You and Sandor were going to find a place out of the way for the three of you. Far away from Gregor and his reach. Those dreams fueled the rest of your afternoon. If only you had known what the evening would bring.

"I have to go," you whispered, untangling yourself from Sandor. Sandor huffed. He hated this part. The part when he had to go back to pretending like you weren't invading his senses at every second of the day. Sandor watched from the bed as you fluttered around the room trying to find all your clothes that had been scattered during your passionate rendezvous. As he looked on, he couldn't believe how lucky he was to have you. While it was true you could never be fully his, Sandor would take whatever time you could give him. It was more than he deserved after all.

Once you were dressed, you leaned over to kiss him again, this time with a little more passion. A kiss to sustain you both until you could be together again. "I'll call you when I get home," you promised before leaving quietly. Sandor leaned back against the pillows and ran a hand over his face. He had gotten in too deep with you. There was no escaping it now. The pain in his chest every time you walked out the door was almost too much. He needed to be with you all the time.

About half an hour after you left, Sandor's phone rang. Recognizing the number, Sandor smiled to himself. He answered the phone only for his blood to run cold. In a voice no more than a whisper, Sandor heard you say, "He knows." That was followed by an inhuman growl from Gregor and a scream from you.

(a/n: here is where the original one-shot finally comes into play. We're approaching the end! However, there will be two separate endings for this!)
