Willows POV
"Jays not doing well" I yell. "I'm driving as fast as I can" Smith yells back at me. "Come on Jay don't quit, think of Erin, think about those kids" I say to Jay. "We're almost at the base" Smith yells. I grab Jays arm as the humvee comes to a stop. I open the door. " We need two medics" I yell, helping get Jay out of the humvee. "What happened" the paramedic asks rushing over to us. "the other humvee hit an IED." I say "Were they the only ones in that humvee" they ask. "No Harris and I were in the back" I say. "Well you'll have to be checked out too. "I'm fine" I say as Jay is brought into the medical center. "I'll be the judge of that, Dr. Wright, can you follow my finger" the doctor says moving his finger in front of my face. "Your fine" "told you so" I say. "He's crashing" I hear a nurse yell as I turn around to see many people working on Jay. "Push the epi" someone says. "He's stabilizing" the nurse says. "Doctor we need to prep for the surgery of the other Ranger" another nurse says. "Wait what's wrong with Woods" "shrapnel hit her" "all update you when possible" the doctor says.
15 minutes later
"Jays awake, Jays awake" Harris yells running down the hall to find me sitting outside Woods operation room. "Let's go see him" I say getting up and running with Harris back to the room. "Hey Jay, how do you feel?" I ask "whose Jay" he asks a confused look on his face. "Come on you don't remember anything" "aww got yah" "not funny" "sorry to interrupt, umm" the doctor says a sad look on his face which says everything "no" Yell tears in my eyes. "Woods, she didn't make it, she lost too much blood there was nothing we could do" the doctor says, leaving. "I can't do this anymore I've lost to many friends, I'm done after I'm cleared I'm going home back to intelligence, back to Erin, if you guys want I think my boss could make room for you guys." Jay says realizing the effect Woods death is having on the team.
