Erins POV
"What was that" Voight asks as we head to the door of the offenders house. "Halstead he called, there shipping him to Afghanistan tonight" I say as Antonio kicks in the door. We immediately take fire and I take two bullets in the vest,hitting my head against the wall and falling to the ground. "Erin, I've got her covered go" Antonio yells "what" I say "10 1, 10 1, office down need an ambo at my location" Antonio says over the mics.
10 minutes later
Antonio's POV
"Antonio where are you" Brett yells "over here" I yell "what happened Jimmy asks " we entered, and she took two bullets in the vest, and hit her head." I say as Jimmy and Brett get Erin on a back board. "I'm coming with" I say as they load her into the back of the ambulance. I jump of and we Brett drives Jimmy in the back keeping an eye on Erin's Vitals. "We're here" Brett yells. They unload her from the ambulance. "What do we got" Nurse Maggie asks as they roll her in. "Detective Erin Lindsay shot in the vest two times hit her head lost consciousness on the ride." Jimmy says "Dr. Halstead, Dr. Reese, April, with Lindsay." Maggie says as they run into her room. "Get the vest off her, and start an IV" Dr. Halstead says as nurses scramble getting the vest off. "She's got some bad bruising, get me an ultrasound, just to make sure there's no internal bleeding" Dr Halstead says as Dr. Reese puts in the IV. Maggie walks and stands by me. "That practice paid off Maggie" Dr. Reese says with a smile on her face. "Antonio when is Voight, getting here?" Dr. Halstead asks. "I don't know why" I ask "Erin, she's pregnant, with triplets." Dr. Halstead says looking at me. "Your joking, ha, you've got to be kidding Jays heading to Afghanistan tonight." I say as they move her to observation. "How is she" Voight says walking in moments later. "Will wants to talk to you" I say pointing in the direction they went "observation?" He asks and I nod my head. "You coming" he asks. We take the elevator up and go to the nurses station "Detective Erin Lindsay's Room" Voight asks "281" the nurse says as we see Will "you wanted to see me" Voight says as we meet up with Dr. Halstead "listen I know Jay is getting deployed tonight, and she's already under a lot of stress but, Erin's pregnant with triplets" Will says as we walk into Erin's room
Erins POV
"hey guys" I say as Voight, Antonio, and Dr. Halstead walk into my room. Will hands me a ultrasound "Erin I know your stressed out about Jay being gone but you need to know, your pregnant" Voight says "with triplets" I ask "yes" Will says "but Jay he's gone, Voight you got to do something" I say "Erin I will be with you every step of the way, so will Voight and the unit" Will says "your on desk duty till your maturity leave" Voight says "I might as well just take the time off. "Ok that will be fine" Voight says patting me on the head. "You can hang out at the firehouse with my sister, she would enjoy spending the time with you. "Yeah I'm gonna do that" I say "Well we gotta go let me know if anything changes" Voight says as they walk out of my hospital room. I lay there wondering how or when, even if I will tell Jay about this.
