Voight's POV
I walk out and into my unit. I know that Jay and Erin are dating but they aren't keeping it professional in the work place. "Jay my office" I say as Jay gets off the corner of Erin's desk, and walks into my office.
Jays POV
"What did I tell you if you were going to date Erin, you have to?" "Speaking about dating Erin, Voight I want to marry her. We've been each other's partner for over three and a half years and have been dating for about a year." I say "so you want my permission?" "Yes, do I have permission to marry Erin" "Yes, but like I said keep it professional while at work." Voight says to me as I walk out of his office. "Guys you can go home early I'm feeling nice today but keep your phones on" Voight says standing in the door way of  his office. "Thanks" I say. I grab my coat, and head out with Erin. "So you want to go to your place?" Erin asks. "Sure" I say getting into the passengers seat. Erin drives to my apartment. We get out and head to my apartment, when we head to the door there's an envelope taped to it. "Jay what the hell is this" Erin says handing me the envelope.
It reads :
TO: Mr. Jay Halstead
FROM: Army Rangers

"I'm not going back I can't" I say walking into my apartment. "Jay you have to tell Voight tomorrow" "Erin he's going to kill me" I say as I start to pace around my apartment. "Why" Erin asks grabbing hold of my arms, looking me in the eyes. "I asked his permission, his permission to marry you" I say tears coming to my eyes. "Yes yes I'll marry you" she says hugging me. "You want to order a pizza" Erin asks "sure I say as she pics up her phone. "It'll be here in ten" she says as she kisses me. "So how are we going to break the news to Voight" Erin asks "I don't know, and don't really want to think about it right now, I just want to think about you" I say kissing Erin. She pulls away "Halstead your going to have to tell him some time, preferably tomorrow, I will be there with you the entire way. I'll have your back." She says grabbing my hand laying her head against my shoulder. "Erin it's not as easy as you think. Mouse was the one who pulled me out, kept me sane while we were over seas, he's been medically discharged from the Army, he can't go back, which means I'm not going back." I say kissing Erin on the head. The doorbell rings breaking the minute of silence. Erin gets up and answers the door. She comes back with the Pizza. "You coming" she says grabbing two plates from the cabinet. "I'm not really hungry anymore" I say as she grabs a piece of pizza and comes and sits down next to me again. "Jay it's going to be okay" Erin says looking up at me. " Erin I hope that's so" I say. Erin finishes here food and we head to bed.
