WELCOME
Hey, Tridents. The first ever Tridents Awards is here now and we are glad to be having you! We celebrate as many authors as possible, new or old, so you're welcome to join the bus.
HOW IT WORKS AND WHAT TO KNOW
🔱 There'll be four rounds, in which stories will be eliminated in each round. Each round comes with a marking scheme, where there are different ways stories get judged on each round. This won't be like regular awards where stories are grouped into genres. The Tridents pick 10 - 30 stories as winners for every season. So you may find more winners from a given genre than the others. This way, we'll be fair onto the participants and incompetent works wouldn't stand in their genres only but overall.
🔱 There will be no form for judges. We already have our in-house judges, standby; they will judge for this season and future contests. Why? Randomly picking judges drags the contest as many would fail to submit the results in time.
🔱 Asides the Trident winners, there will be categorical winners. Judges' favourites, table shakers, and audience love for this season. There are requirements for these categories and not all stories fit into it.
🔱 No tag-fest or tag-to-win. Period.
🔱 All works should be written in English. Hopefully we'll be able to accept other languages in the future.
🔱 One book per entrant. Only one, please, so bring your best work forward.
🔱 Random and anthologies aren't to be submitted. Poetry is allowed.
🔱 You must follow Tumike-John and @TheTridents to be accepted
🔱 Tag your work #TridentsAwards for us to see your work when we use the tag, so we can assess categorical awards this way. If not, you won't be considered.
🔱 Your book must have at least 6 chapters or 10,000 words if it isn't a short story. If less, then it is a short story, and of course it must be complete. Short stories can be of any appropriate length.
🔱 No bullying, bickering, or hating.
🔱 Do not... Wait! You can't bribe us.
🔱 Any more questions can be asked in this chapter.
