And So We Quest! (What Does That Mean Exactly)

Aquaina's POV:
We got out of the car with our weapons out. I took out my disco ball earrings, ready to battle some monsters. (I know, I wasn't really quest ready, in my Hamilton shirt, metallic combat boots, pink overall shorts, glittery bomber jacket and disco ball earrings, but I was in NYC and I planned to look completely amazing while I was there) Anyway, I pulled my necklace charm off, and it transformed into my favorite glowing bronze-gold sword! Percy frowned as he read the Greek inscription on the hilt.

"Ripcurrent." He said. I nodded. He uncapped his pen-sword.

"Riptide." I said thoughtfully, tapping my chin. Percy sighed.

      "Ok, where'd you get yours?"

"At the ocean. I was 4. Shipwreck Beach. A man came up to me, he had on khaki shorts, a blue and green Hawaiian shirt, black wind blown hair, and a beard. He waved to me. My mother took me by the hand and led me too him. She could see things. Like, through the whatever you call it, the Mist? Right, so she knew it was him. He told me that he was my dad and that he wanted to give me this necklace so that I would be protected always. We talked more, jumped waves, than he said that he had to go, but that he loved me and was always with me. Than, he turned around and walked away, turning to wave a few times. Never saw him again." I finished. Nico tapped my shoulder.

"Hate to break up story time, but the monster army is advancing, and we really gotta get going. We left at 7:30, and It's already 11:00. Getting to the edge of Manhattan will be hard, if possible." He said. I nodded. Ari took a small sword out of her pocket. I cocked my head.

"Where'd you get that from?" I asked. She smiled.

"This is SkyBlade. I got it from Chiron, but I named it Swordie." I magically grew into a regular sized sword. Abibia shook her head.

"Now that's easy to carry around." She said. I looked back at the monster army. The boys said that the lead monster lady's name was Kelli, and apparently she was a vampire.

"Like Twilight? Ugh, I didn't like that series that much." I answered. They all rolled their eyes. I shrugged. It was true. Percy raised his sword.

"FOR OLYMPUS!" He cried. The three boys rushed into battle, killing three of the big dogs quickly. We had pulled out our music listening things and had begun the Hamilton. The song was.......... THE BATTLE OF YORKTOWN!

"FOR PEGGYYYYYYYYYYYY!" I cried as I rushed into the fight, sword raised.

"Monsieur Hamilton! Monsieur Lafayette! In command will you be long? How you say no sweat!" I sang, killing a giant dog and wincing. I loved dogs! But, I had seen these before. They were evil, and would kill me given the chance! Now there were only 2 dogs, 10 vampires, and 3 Cyclopes. Ari was doing good, fighting a Cyclops with Jason and Abibia and Nico tag teamed a vampire lady. Than, my sword was knocked out of my hand. Kelli hissed, eyes flaming, hair on fire.

"So, your Percy's little sis." She said, extending her long sharp nails, and raking the side of my face. I closed my eyes. Concentrate Queen. Think of the water. I felt the plumbing underneath me break open. It snapped. Kelli hissed, and lunged for my face. I leaned back, and she was blown backwards by the water exploding out from the pipe below, and onto Percy's sword. I willed the water to flow onto the scratch that Kelli had left. The water made it better, but definitely still a bad gash. Percy jogged up to me.

"So, you blew a pipe open in the middle of the street." He said. I nodded.

"Ok, well, now we have so much water. What are we gonna do with it?" He asked. I tapped my chin, playing along.

"Well, I suppose I could maybe try to control the water to my advantage. Maybe kill a few monsters." I said. Percy grinned, shaking his head.

"Let's do this." We raced into battle again. By this point, there were 6 vampires, 1 cyclops, and 2 dogs left. I summoned my trident from a pile of water.

"How'd you do that?" Percy asked as he rushed ahead of me.

"I'll tell you later." I called. He and I circled 2 of the vampire girls.

They hissed, and summoned their flames.

"In the eye of a hurricane there is quiet." I sang under my breath. Suddenly the 2 vampires looked at me. I panicked and switched songs.

"First things first, Imma say all the words inside my head, I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been ah-Ooh, the way that things have been, Ooh." The vampires advanced towards me, almost like they were obeying my silent commands. Please stay looking at me so Percy can sneak up on you. They never turned their heads to look when Percy came up and stabbed them. I finally breathed out. Than Ari dropped down beside me.

"Ooh, your flying skills are getting good!" I said. She grinned.

     " I know, right? It's pretty awesome!"

"Have you seen my sword? It got knocked out of my hand by Kelli, and I never saw it again."

"Nope. We'll find it later though, I'm sure." Ari said confidently. Now, there were only 4 vampires left.

" Eliza, are you ready?" I asked Ari.

"Angelica, when am I not?" She smirked back.

"Peggy is here too!" Abibia said, shadow traveling from behind us. I tapped my headphone, fast forwarding songs till finally I heard Leslie Odom JR sing,

"There's nothing rich folks love more, than going downtown and slumming it with the poor."

"What are they doing?" I heard Percy ask Jason.

"I dunno. But I have a strange feeling that we're done battling for today." Jason answered.

"ANGELICAAAAAA!" I yelled, raising my trident.

"ELIzzzzzaAAAAAAAAAAA!" Ari screamed, summoning lightning and frying a vampire.

"AND PEGGY!" Abibia cried, shadow traveling behind another vampire- they're called emposuai? I see. Well than. Any way, I summoned a large amount of water up from the ground and began to coax it into a circle, like a whirl pool.

"Ari! Could I get some wind for lift off?" I asked, pointing to my whirlpool. She nodded, and lifted it into the air.

"Bia! Darkness for them?" I asked, nodding at the emposuai.

"Ok!" She cried, grinning. She placed the shroud of darkness onto the emposuai, and Ari put the water tornado on them using wind powers.

    "WORK!" We all yelled, posing.

"Great job guys!" I cried as we all high-fived. Percy, Nico and Jason all came up to us.

"That was pretty awesome!" Jason said. Ari smirked.

"Yeah, we are amazing." She said, flipping her hair. Percy stared at me.

"I'm pretty sure you are literally the only quester ever to wear a glittery bomber jacket, disco ball earrings, and metallic combat boots on a quest." He said. I smirked.

      "Well, I am special aren't I?"

"We better find a place to eat lunch. Maybe Central Park?" Nico said. Ari, Abibia and I all started freaking out.

"OMG CENTRAL PARK! EEEEEEEKKKKKK!"  We squealed. The boys blinked.

"Haven't you been to New York before?" Percy asked.

"Or at least more than a week?" Nico asked, arms crossed. We shook our heads.

"That day at the Macy's was our first day. We planned to see a Broadway show, go to MoMA, the Empire State Building, all of it." Ari said.

"Not to mention all the historical places mentioned in Hamilton!" Abibia added. Percy rolled his eyes.

"Well, we're on a quest, so no Broadway shows." He said. I may have pouted for a good 2 minutes there before following everyone back to the car. (No Broadway is a sad, sad thing)

                                                           0o..o0

"So, you've walked on floor from Gresham Oregon to NYC?" Jason asked, his mouth full of food.

"Yup. We are Oregonians, and proud of it." Ari said, fiddling with a patch on her gray jean jacket.

"What'd you do for food?" Nico asked.

"We packed enough food to last us 2 weeks, and we had taken money with us, so we were able to buy some food." Abibia said, before taking a bite out of an apple.

"Where are your families?" Percy asked, gently. The three of us girls exchanged looks. We all knew we had to tell them sometime. Ari spoke first.

"Only child, my mom is at home. I didn't run away cuz her, there was a lot going on. We blew up our principal, and Queenie..." she trailed off.

"My mom died when I was little along with my stepdad." Abibia said twisting her charm bracelet. That left me. Yay.

"Well, my grandparents died, one from heart attack, one from the same car accident that put my uncle in a wheelchair for life. That car accident was 2 years ago. Than, last February 11th, my mom died. A dracon had sniffed me out, and killed my mother just before I killed it. I don't even know how I killed it, I felt pure anger at it, and screamed, and it sunk to the floor, where I stabbed it. That night, I ran to Ari's house, I knew Abibia was spending the night there, and told them my plans to run to New York City. I figured I could get a job, if I was lucky get an ensemble role in a show, I've always been a good dancer. We planned to all leave March 4th, but than we blew up our monster principal, and had to leave early." I finished, rather emotionless  and unlike me. The boys were quiet. Ari, Abibia, and I continued to eat our lunch. Nico cleared his throat.

"So, anyone have a place for us to stay?" He asked. Percy nodded, than frowned.

"No, my Mom, Estelle and Paul are out of town, and I don't have a key!" He said. *cue the light bulb* I had just gotten an an amazing idea!

After explaining my plan to Ari and Abibia, Abibia had gotten behind the wheel, we had driven to the greatest place in the greatest city in the world.

                                                      0o..o0

"What are we supposed to do here?" Percy asked confused. My poor, poor brother just didn't understand the importance of going here! To............... THE RICHARD ROGERS THEATRE, WHERE IN THE HEIGHTS AND HAMILTON WERE BOTH PREFORMED!

"WE'RE ACTUALLY HERE OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS, AND IM SO CLOSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKK!" We screamed. (We really did love Hamilton.) The boys stood there, arms crossed, and tapping their feet till we stopped.

"Ok, so what's your plan?" Jason said.

"We can go inside, and have this be our place to sleep!" Ari said, grinning.

"No shows are running tonight, and the earliest they'll be in is tomorrow at 3 in the afternoon!" Abibia smiled.

      "And security?" Nico asked.

"They lock it up, but everyone has to leave. It's a theatre tradition everyone involved with the theatre must leave, security, custodians, everyone." I answered.

Right now, it was 8:00 pm. Lunch had taken 2 hours, and we ate at 12:00, we had driven deeper into the city, and than eaten dinner. The sun was going down, and NYC was lightning up. I grabbed Ari's bag from her.

"NYC! Just got here this morning! 3 bucks! 2 bags! 1 me! Oh NYC!" I sang, twirling around. Ari grabbed her bag back.

"Ok, so how are we getting inside?" Nico asked. Abibia grinned, sort of evilly (is that a word?) and held out a hand.

"Hairpin." She said. Ari rifled through her bag, than handed one to her. Abibia stuck the hairpin in the lock and jiggled it around.

"Hairspray." Abibia said. Ari handed it too her. Abibia sprayed the lock, removed the hairpin, and the door creaked open.

"How'd you do that?" Percy asked in awe.

"A long time looking at locked doors." Abibia said sarcastically, but I could see a pang of hurt and sadness. You could only realize it if you knew her well, but I could see her reliving memories of bad moments she'd had on the streets. Then she blinked, and it was gone.

"Alright, so, we heading in?" Ari asked, clapping her hands together. We all nodded. I took a deep breath, and walked inside. It was so cool! Just like all the online interviews! My mom and I had been to a Hamilton show once. It was a birthday present to both of us, she claimed as her birthday was only a week or so from mine. Ari rushed into the auditorium.

"GUYS PLEASE COME IN HERE QUICK!" She yelled. Abibia and I raced in after her. She was running down the aisles to the stage.

"IM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT!" Ari yelled.

"IM GONNA NEED A RIGHT HAND MAN!" Abibia yelled.

"I WANNA BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS!" I yelled. We jumped up onto the stage and sang songs from Hamilton, mimicking choreography and other moves! At one point, we ran backstage and grabbed hats or coats to preform in! At one point, we got Nico, Jason, and Personification to join us as well. We had so much fun! (Even if we had gone backwards in our quest, lost a lot of time, and were pretty bruised, even after ambrosia and nectar.) At about 10:00 at night, we got out our sleeping bags and settled into bed on the stage.

"They'll tell the story of tonighhhhhhhhhhhhht." I whisper sung. Percy and Jason had first watch, they had their swords out and were talking in low voices. Nico was sound asleep, Abibia was listening to music and closing her eyes, and Ari was reading the Goblet of Fire. I smiled.

The quest had begun.

The next day............. (3rd person POV)

"Where's my coat?" Christopher Jackson asked.

"I don't know, have you seen my brown coat? Phillipa and I have been looking, but nothing." Lin Manuel Miranda said, shaking his head. Renee Goldsberry walked in.

"A lot of people's stuff has been misplaced. What happened between last week and today?" She wondered. Daveed Diggs shrugged.

      "Don't ask me."

"Guys! They found everyone's things in the Storage space!" Anthony Ramos called as he ran down the hall. There was a stampede.

"I found my dueling coat!" Leslie Odom Jr. cried.

"I found the sort of coat top that goes over my dress in Quiet uptown!" Phillipa Soo said.

"So what happened?" Lin Manuel Miranda wondered.
