Detention Isn't that Bad?

If you would have told Sam Winchester that he wouldn't have minded going to detention and hanging out the legendary trickster, he probably would have looked at you like you have three heads. In no known universe did he ever imagine that he would ever enjoy Gabriel's company for even a minute and it certainly was a learning experience that you truly could not judge people by their image.

He greatly regretted that mindset as flower petals rained from the ceiling as he walked into the school, getting him, and anyone else in range, covered in petals. He growled in frustration, hearing a giggle behind him, and whipped around, coming face-to-face with the trickster, a cheeky grin on his face.

"Good morning, moose!" Gabriel said brightly, petals hanging off his shoulders and hair. Sam rolled his eyes and turned away, only to fall flat on his face as he slipped on a particularly slippery pile of petals.

"Sam?! Are you okay?!" Gabriel shouted, pulling Sam up. The Winchester groaned, flushing under the attention that was being given directly to them. He stood quickly, trying to get some of the petals off before grabbing Gabriel's wrist and dragging him down one hallway before throwing the boy in the janitor's closet.

When the door closed behind him, he glared at the trickster, who was watching him with innocent eyes. "Really? Flower petals? Are you a trickster or a love struck girl, Gabriel?" Sam retorted, shaking his head and watching as petals floated to the ground. Gabriel grinned, shrugging his shoulders.

"I was going to drop more ping pong balls, but I decided that would be a bit dangerous. What if you got hit by them?" Gabriel replied, smirking as he reached up and pulled one of the petals out of Sam's hair. It was an eye catching petal, as it was blue, instead of the other pink ones.

"Well, looks like Charlie was right." Gabriel said with a smirk before tucking it into his jacket pocket. Sam furrowed his eyebrows, before he realized what that meant.

"You mean Charlie was in on this?" Sam asked, a hint of anger coming into his voice. Gabriel gave the 'oops' look, before chuckling nervously.

"Sorry, moose. I can't reveal that information." Gabriel said, trying to get around Sam to leave the closet. Sam grabbed him by the shoulder, almost growling as he looked at the trickster.

"What exactly did you and Charlie talk about, Gabriel?" Sam asked with a warning. Gabriel smirked, grabbing the hand on his shoulder and pulling it off.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Gabriel said cheekily, a cocky tone to his voice. Sam huffed, standing in front of the door and blocking Gabriel's path with his taller height. The trickster looked at him with a huff, rolling his eyes.

"You're not leaving until you tell me what's going on." Sam said in warning, though Gabriel's eyes only sparkled at the challenge. The trickster moved closer to Sam, narrowing his eyes at the taller teen.

"Oh really?" Gabriel asked, his hands sliding up and resting on Sam's stomach. The Winchester felt a pang in his heart, trying to swallow the lump that was forming in his throat as the trickster's fingers slowly traced along Sam's clothed skin.

"You're really muscled. How surprising." Gabriel commented, tipping his head as he looked at the flushed face of Sam, knowing his was winning. A shiver traveled down Sam's spine, and he shied away, head lowered in defeat.

"Y-you win." Sam stammered, his heart still hammering from the experience. Gabriel only smiled in triumph before skipping out of the closet, leaving Sam by himself. The Winchester sighed, his eyes fluttering closed for just a moment. He was going to kill Charlie and Gabriel.

It took Sam two class periods to find Charlie, as she was amazing at hiding. When he did however, he grabbed her before she could escape, dragging the struggling redhead into an empty classroom, scowling.

"What exactly did you discuss with Gabriel?" Sam asked, and Charlie gave him an innocent look that made him rolls his eyes.

"What do you mean?" She said, linking her fingers together and rocking on her heels. Sam sighed and leaned against the wall, though he watched her carefully in case she tried to escape.

"Gabriel said that you were right about something when he saw a blue petal in my hair..." Sam trailed off when he saw the excited look that crossed over Charlie's face. He tipped his head, but he just did her usual thing where she began waving her arms and giggling excitedly.

"It did?! I have to find Gabriel!" Charlie exclaimed, rushing for the door, only to stop at Sam putting his arm out, a pleading look in his eyes.

"Charlie, please tell me." Sam said, getting a little desperate. The inner cat in him was in turmoil from his curiosity. Charlie placed her hands on her hips, giving him a sympathetic smile.

"You'll figure out soon enough, alright?" She said, patting him on the shoulder. Sam sighed and let his arm fall, allowing her to leave. Charlie had never lied to him before, so he trusted her.

Detention was another day in the bathroom, painting another coat of white over the graffiti. It was a tedious task, mainly because the graffiti was basically covering the entire wall, but Sam found he didn't mind much, especially he had someone else to work with.

They were only thirty minutes in, and both of them had already shed their jackets since it was so warm in the bathroom and set the brushes down to rest. Sam wiped his brow, knowing he smeared paint on it, and looked over at Gabriel, who was carefully painting on the wall with his fingers out of boredom.

"What did the blue petal mean?" Sam asked curiously, though he tried to seem casual about the whole thing. Gabriel looked over at him, a grin splitting his face as he wiped the paint from fingers off with a rag.

"It was just something that Charlie came up with. It was almost like a bet." Gabriel said vaguely, shrugging his shoulders. When he noticed the paint that covered Sam's forehead, he laughed, grabbing the rag and walking over.

"You got a little something there." Gabriel said with a smirk, reaching up and running the rag over Sam's forehead gently, white coming off on the cloth. Sam blushed and turned away, wiping furiously with his clean hand.

"I got it." Sam said with a huff, trying to hide his embarrassment behind his hand. Gabriel only chuckled, grabbed his wrist and pulling it away.

"No, you are just smearing it." Gabriel replied, rolling his eyes at Sam's stubbornness. He dragged the boy over to the sink and pointed in the mirror, where a large smear of paint was still there, starting to cling to the strands of his hair.

"God, you are a failure of a moose." Gabriel said, amusement littering his voice as he wet the tip of the rag and began wiping away the paint, forcing Sam to remain still. When he finished, he brushed his hand through Sam's hair, running the rag over the bits that had paint in it.

"Repeat it after me. I. Am. Not. A. Moose. I. Am. A. Normal. Teenager." Sam said, accenting each word and making Gabriel snort. The trickster rolled his eyes, finishing and placing the rag on the sink edge.

"I am not a moose. I am a normal teenager." Gabriel said with a smirk, making Sam groan and drop his head in frustration. The trickster laughed, triumph in his eyes.

"You told me to repeat what you said." Gabriel said with a shrug, a smirk playing on his lips as he looked over the frustrated male. Sam huffed at him and walked back over to the paint brush, grabbing it and dipping it in the can.

"Come on, let's get finished for today." Sam said, rolling his eyes. He couldn't help the smile that was beginning to grow on his face as Gabriel gave him a cheeky grin.

Yeah, he didn't mind hanging out with the trickster at all.
