I felt someone shaking me out of my dreamless sleep. I opened my eyes and blinked a few times to see Kai looking at me excitedly.

"Skylor! Look!"he said and pointed at his leg.

I sat up, yawning, and took a look at the wound. The problem was, the wound wasn't there, which wasn't a problem at all!"It's gone?"I said, surprised.

"Yes! I will finally be able to help you!"Kai said and sat up, then rose to his feet and walked around a bit. I just watched him, happy for him.

"Well, since you want to help me, we have to go for food, we ran out yesterday."I said and took my bow and arrows, then walked up to him. He nodded.

"Yeah, sure, I will take the bow."he said and I looked at his serious face weirdly. He's gonna take the bow? He cracked a smile when he saw my expression."Just joking. I'm gonna gather some berries."he informed me. I nodded my head.

The two of us crawled out of the cave and parted ways, promising to not go too far.

I walked through the woods that resembled the ones at home way too much. It hurts, thinking that maybe I would never to see them again.

No Skylor, I scolded myself. You will go home. You promised Amber. Besides, there are only five people left, two of who are you and Kai. There are two people that can kill each other and then there will be only one left and then he will die too and then you and Kai will go home. Okay? Okay.

I can't believe what kind of thoughts I'm having. I'm thinking that we will have to kill to go home anyways.

I noticed a squirrel and shot it. I took it from the three where she was now hanging from my arrow, then put it in my bag.

I noticed another one and just as I was gonna shoot, I heard a cannon go off and missed, but I didn't care. My heard dropped to the ground. Kai, was everything in my head.

I ran the way I came as fast as I could and started yelling."KAI!?"I yelled, but no answer."KAI!??"I yelled again. I stopped in my tracks when I saw his jacked on the ground, poisonous Nightlock on top of it."Kai..."I whispered.

"Skylor!"I heard a familiar voice call me from behind and I turned to see the boy I was gonna start crying for.

"Kai, God dann it, what are you going!?"I yelled at him and saw the Nightlock in his hands."That's poisonous you idiot!"I yelled and slapped the berries out of his hands.

"I-I'm sorry, I though-"I cut him off when I pulled him in a hug.

"That's ironic,"Kai said."She was supposed to be the best in knowing which berries are poisonous and which not, yet she died because of them."Kai said.

After I scolded him, we found the girl I call Foxface's body not too far from Kai's jacked on the ground with Nightlock juice all over her lips. She was dead, unfortunately.

"Yeah, ironic."I said and kneeled down, closing her wide open eyes.

"Another one down..."Kai said.

"And three left."I added, looking up at him.

I noticed the left berries in her hand and scooped them in mine, then put them in my pocket.

"What are you doing?"Kai asked.

"Maybe Cato likes berries too."I told him and got up.

There are four tributes left. Me, Kai, Thresh and Cato. Maybe one will go home, maybe two, who knows. But I'm not giving up without a fight. Not when I promised my friend and family I will be back. Now when we're so close.

I'm not going down. At least not easy.

Okay, for these who have read/watched The Hunger Games, you probably noticed that I kind of changed the plot. Hope you liked the changed one!
Also, as you can say, the book is coming to an end, but as I did with The Ninjago Runner, I will continue with the second book/movie in THIS book, because I don't feel like making another two books.
