Chapter Six
"Nngh!" The woman grunted, struggling against Agnes's death grip on her bony shoulder.
"Stop resisting." Agnes chided with a smirk. "It's useless. You're too weak." To this statement, the dark skinned woman used her skinny fingers to grab Agnes's right leg, causing her to almost fall. Once Agnes regained her balance, she scowled at the woman.
"You're becoming quite hopeful aren't you?"
The woman met Agnes's glare with a shaky look before retreating her gaze.
Agnes grabbed her by the hair, revealing pointy elven ears. She drew closer to the elf woman and spoke loudly in her ears.
"I will take what I want from you and have you watch me do it!" She let go of the woman and said in a quieter voice.
"I need your blood because of Eldric."
The elf's heart sank when she heard this.
Hearing it gave her newfound strength and Agnes knew this. She smirked once more and when the elf woman was about to attack, magical energy cackling from Agnes's hands shot out towards the elf, weakening her.
Agnes pulled her hand out and cut it with a knife. Her hand bled and Agnes made sure every single drop fell into the container she held against where she cut open.
"Just kill me." The elf breathed out, exhausted.
"Don't you want to see your dear son again? " Agnes asked. A tear fell from the woman's eyes.
"You see, I need your blood because of your son, for my spell to be complete I need it."
Agnes's hands began to glow as she began to cast the spell.
"I will torture him through nightmares and that will be the beginning of my torment."
Agnes's lips moved saying the spell but making it inaudible. There was an eerie calm. The silence was dark and grave. Agnes had completed her spell.

"Where the bloody magic am I?" Aerwyna was dismayed and baffled.
As she looked around her, she found dense trees that surrounded her and waited upon her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as the wind was so relaxing and the place was comparatively cool. After all that've happened, she deserved it at least.
As she walked forward, she was able to see a ray of light penetrating through a thick blanket. Her heart beat began to increase as the thought of getting lost here started dominating her mind. Suddenly, she witnessed a savage and fearless woman with the look of a serious pain pushed a dumb, treacherous demon away, breaking her grip and retaliating with a flurry of punches. So fast the air grew denser. So fast her vampire's eye complimented the blue sky. They were capable and mighty. Indeed she was an indestructible female.
"What a nice way to start my day...huh" Aerwyna sighed.
It had never been easy to kill a sticklike ancient demon even at it's weakest state. As the ruthless monster fell, he kicked the angry speckled vampire's legs away and springed back to his feet as the vampire crashed through the leaves. The vampire in a fit of range moved with great speed, twisted the demon's head and gloriously ripped it out. No doubt she was supremely well-trained, but it felt like the demon took someone she loved away from her. Her style was just bold, tenacious and prudent giving a look of haggard, grim.
She then caught her breath and wiped the trickle of blood from the corner of her mouth, it was over.
"So glorious for an extremely valiant vampire" Aerwyna was left with a stunned look on her face. She was watching everything from behind a tree. The vampire sensed her and moved in front of her at a super speed. Aerwyna got startled for a few, regained her senses, and introduced herself offering her hand forward for a shake "Hi, I am Aerwyna, It is nice to meet you, I am so sorry to have disturbed your killing, got lost in the wood, so silly of me."
But a still gaze was met and her lips were in a thin line. There was no emotion in those eyes except a little twinkle of something, simply steadfastness in form of unfaltering crimson eyes. She made no move to shake her hand nor did she care to introduce herself, just stood there like a solid item and gazed Aerwyna. She was trying to understand what Aerwyna was.
After getting a hint that the vampire was not interested in a hand shake, she took her hand back in an embarrassed way. She tried to question her about the demon "Why did you kill the demon? Did you kill him just for food or was there something else? I mean even if you did I don't mind, I have a bad blood with them anyway" The vampire kept staring at her stoically and finally answered "They have to pay for their deeds."
She then turned her back towards Aerwyna and started to move swiftly. Aerwyna sensed that she was getting bored of her ranting and she didn't have the interest to entertain her and tried catching up with her."Hey! Please don't go, I will get even re-lost in these woods. You have realized that I have bad blood with demons too, and i want to go to the demon's camp to rescue someone" Hearing this, the vampire halted in her tracks and turned towards her. She looked at Aerwyna with a mixed look of confusion and amusement.
She took hold of a twig from the ground. "And what can a silly witch like you do? You will get killed in seconds and snapped into two." Aerwyna was aware of the risk but she had to do whatever she could to save him. "That is why I request you to become my companion in this." The vampire was controlling herself not to burst into laughter. "And how do you think getting yourself killed would be of help?" She said in a teasing manner.
Aerwyna narrowed her eyes "you're making fun of me, aren't you?" The vampire chuckled "Yes, sorry but in all seriousness though, you will get yourself killed. "And you're of no use to me. You will become a burden eventually and I can't afford that."
Aerwyna was getting angry "We can both be useful to each other, while you help me with your strength, I can help you with my powers" The vampire was having a hard time taking her words seriously. Aerwyna saw the look on her face and said "Let me show you then how unfelt I can be." The vampire looked at her in confusion while Aerwyna closed her eyes and concentrated, suddenly a gust of power flowed out of her. There was enough power that it made the vampire lose her footing.
That made her shocked. She pondered for a bit of the advantages and shortcomings and finally said "I have made my decision. will become partners with you." She offered her hand. They shaked hands and started the journey together.
