Chapter 16
Dodger's P.O.V.
I quickly stepped over the sleeping cats and ran out to where Venom and Midnight were still talking. "Midnight! Midnight!" I called after him. He turned his head over his shoulder and looked at me in confusion, "What is it?" He murmured, narrowing his eyes as I halted, spraying snow on the two toms. "Its Deer! Shes gone!" I exclaimed. His eyes went wide and he whipped around immediately. "This better not be a joke Dodger!" He snarled at me. The Tribe was waking now. Venom stepped in between us, hissing with his ears flat, "Calm down. I'm sure she just went for a hunt or a walk,"
Midnight growled low, "She would've told me!" Cats were exiting the dens. "Whats all the commotion about?" Slash mewed, itching his ear. "Yeah. We're trying to sleep." Kink sneered sleepily. "Deer, she's gone. Has anyone seen her?" Venom announced, raising his voice. Cats exchanged glances and shook their heads. "We have to search for her!" I breathed. Venom nodded, "Alright, alright. Calm down."

Soot's P.O.V.
I carried my sparrow in my jaws by its tail feathers while Fox carried a rabbit, both scrawny. The rabbit had hopped over to our territory and he had chased it to a corner, then killed it. I saw movement in the corner of my eye that made me turn and look. 'Perfect, more prey!' I thought, scanning the snowy ground, but nothing came into view. 'A rabbit probably.' Setting down the sparrow I whispered over to Fox, "I think a rabbit is near. I saw movement near WindClan's border." He nodded.
Quickly, we dug out a hole and set out prey in it and covered it. We stalked around the boulders and saw a black pelt. "Is it a crow or something?" I suggested. But he shook his head, "No, its too big to be a bird. It has to be a cat." I nodded. Then the sight of a small brown pelt came into my view. "Maybe WindClan is hunting after a rabbit with a brown pelt?" Fox mewed, moving his head to get a better view.
Creeping forwards and more toward the two colors, we narrowed our eyes. "They're cats!" I whispered, shock puling through my veins. "Maybe someone in our Tribe found a WindClan warrior venturing around our territory line," I whispered, turning to him. He shook his head again, "No. They aren't threatening each other or yelling in refusal to give up." "But, who could they be? Surely it can't be anyone from our Tribe, right?" Fox shrugged, but didn't answer. After a silence that seemed like forever, Fox spoke. "Lets get closer, so we can see who they are." I nodded a few times a followed Fox through the snow. Curiosity was ready to kill me, just the thought of knowing who these two were, was choking me.
The black pelt's scent was washed in WindClan's scent. While the other was covered in the Tribe of Rotting Skull's scent. 'No. This cat can't be a traitor! Please jut be reasoning nicely with him. . .' We were so close now, we could now hear what they were saying.
"I soon have to leave. If anyone finds out I am meeting with you, I'm dead." The she-cat whispered. The black tom nodded and nuzzled the she-cats cheek, purring. "Yes, me too. But they can't hold us back if we are in love." "I know, but Crowfeather, what if I get pregnant and they ask who's the father? I might be exiled from the Tribe and be left alone without anyone to help take care of our kits!" He exclaimed. The tom wrapped his tail around hers, twining then together. "I can say your a loner and they could take you in, it would work." He suggested quietly. After a few heartbeats of silence, the tom spoke again, "Oh Deer, I must leave now." 'No! Not Deer!' I almost gasped.
"We have to catch them red handed! Now!" I whisper-hissed at Fox. He nodded and we jumped out at them. "Hey! Stop right there!" I yowled at the two. Their heads spun around in surprise and their eyes filled with shock. "Deer, your coming with us." I snarled, lips curled. 'How dare she?' "Wait! I can explain!" She wailed desperately. "No, Deer. Save it. Venom will have a talk with you," Fox hissed. "And you!" I yowled at Crowfeather who was standing there with his fur standing on end in defense. "You won't be seeing her again!" Fox growled at him. Turning around Fox pushed Deer ahead, "Move it you traitor."
"I'll be back, I'm going to get the prey," I called to Fox as I ran to where the prey was buried. As quick as a hawk I uncovered them and grabbed them by their tails, running towards the trail. I stood their and waited for Fox to come with Deer before I went up. "Please! I'm begging you! Don't tell Venom!" She pleaded but Fox just simply pushed her rump on. "Move it!" He growled at her again. She whimpered but kept going on.
I scampered into the camp and deposited my prey, quickly heading back to the entrance to wait for Fox and Deer to come. The camp was vivid with commotion, the patrols must be back. "Don't worry, Dodger. The patrol is going to find her." Venom mewed calmly. The patrol came through the entrance just as we go to it. "Oh, there she is." Midnight purred as he bumped into Deer. Fox pushed her in with a mad look on his face and Dodger rushed over. "Hey! Fox, leave her alone!" He hissed. "We just caught her with a WindClan warrior!" He yowled. Dodger shook his head, astonished, "No, she wouldn't. She knows that they are our enemies." Fox lashed his tail as Venom padded over, "Is this true, Deer? Have you been meeting with a WindClan warrior?" Venom questioned before Fox could say anything more.
She hesitated for a while but reluctantly nodded. "Yes Venom, I have." She whispered. I watched as he padded away, Scar following him into his cave. "Great, now I'm going to be thrown out," She whimpered mostly to herself. She dragged her paws over to the camp wall and sat down. 'Should I comfort her?' I asked myself. Thunder crackled in the sky, lighting up the camp. Since it was almost dawn, the sky didn't light up much.
Rain started to tackle the ground in mere heartbeats, sending cats fleeing to their dens. But I padded slowly over to were Deer laid. "Don't you want to go into the den and get out of the rain?" I murmured to her once I was close enough. Thunder crackled again. She shook her head, "Do you really think they will accept a traitor into the den? I think not!" I sighed. 'She has a point.' "Well, I don't think your a traitor. Fox's mom's mate was a kittypet. And she stayed in the Tribe." I reassured her, laying beside her. "Yeah well that was Killer or Skull's business. Not Venom's. Venom is bound to exile me because of it!" I simply shook my head and jumped as a loud bang in the air occurred, making the sky bright again. My fur stood on end and I settled back down when I realized it was only the storm. "Scaredy-mouse." She purred. "Yeah. I've always hated thunder. Sometimes it will scare me out of my fur!" I hissed. She purred more, "I know. I saw it happen!" "You won't be laughing when it scares you next!" I growled. We laid there in silence for a long while after we stopped talking. Then I spoke again after I yawned. "Well, Deer I'm going to go to sleep now. My fur is soaked. Good night." She dipped her head as I padded off towards the warriors den.
Once I slipped in, I noticed everyone but Blossom was asleep. She was startled to see me and she quickly closed her eyes and covered her head with her paws. 'Weird. . .' I sat down in my nest and laid down. Something told me to keep an eye on Blossom but I thought she was fine. It was a coincidence that she was awake. I closed my eyes and let the dreams over take me.

I watched in silence as the cats around me in the warriors den were making a big fuss about Deer. 'What will they think of me if they find out Deadly and I fell in love?' Your probably wondering when we fell in love and how, well. Hers a flash back for you.
FLASH BACK:
We ran back to the trail in a hurry with Dodger. He and I were going to tell Leaf we were coming. We halted at her den and squeezed through, telling her she had to get the medicine ready. "Leaf, wake up. We need all the medicine you can give!" Dodger fussed, poking her side with his claw. She blinked open her eyes and sat up. "Alright! Alright! Get out you two." She hissed. 'Note, never wake up a cranky medicine cat.'
We hurried out and in the silence of the camp, I heard splashes in the river. "Dodger, I'm going to take a look at the river. Someone might be drowning." I called to him as he headed to the entrance. He halted and pricked his ears to listen. "Come get m if you need help," He instructed, running out of camp. I turned around and went through the hole to the river beside Venom's den.
The splashing grew louder as I neared the river. 'Maybe its a fish?' I asked myself, stalking closer. I hid in behind a bush when I saw a warrior from the Tribe of Jagged Rocks. He looks familiar. . . He was a very hansom looking cat. I mentally claws my eyes out. 'Stop it! He's from a different Tribe!' I peeked out a bit more to see him closer and he jerked his head up. "Who's there?" He called out. I scrambled back behind the bush and waited for him to go back to splashing. I sighed in relief as I heard splashing come from the river. But my heart started to pound as it stopped, paw steps taking its place. 'What does he think he's doing on out territory?'
I waited a bit until they stopped again before I backed out. I felt something hit my haunches and I whipped around to face him. His eyes narrowed to slits, his breath on my nose, I gasped in shock. "What are you doing?" He growled, pushing his face in mine, making my head go down onto the ground. I hissed at him, "I should've asked that, your on my Tribe's territory mister!" He shoved his face more into mine and snarled, "What are you going to do about it?" I hesitated for a bit then mewed, "Kick your butt of course!" I kicked him off and slashed his chest with unsheathed claws. He stumbled back into the bush. I ran in after him and we tumbled over to the river. He landed on top of me, his teeth clenched in a snarl. His eyes went softer and he climbed off of me and swam across the river again.
I stared at him with lovey eyes. 'He's so hansom. . . I can't attack him. . . Again at least.' I watched him as his face went from his normal expression to confused. His lips moved but nothing came out. I blinked once and his voice came to my ears. "Hello? You there? Can you hear me?" He mewed, waving his tail at me. I shook my head, my eyes widened. "Oh my. . ." I muttered. "What? Do you have a crush on me?" I shook my head quickly bewildered. 'I can't love him!' "I think you do; I don't even know your name. I'm Deadly, and you are?"
"Blossom, I'm Blossom." I breathed.

"Scar, Deer needs to be exiled. It is necessary." I pushed. Scar shook his head, "I think she should prove her loyalty. Like, kill a WindClan cat. Then she will be loyal." I rolled my eyes, "Really? Killing one cat will do the trick? No, Scar! She needs to be exiled." I hissed at him, smashing my paw on the solid rock beneath me. "No. How about she kills a dog and a few WindClan cats. Or every time she goes on a border patrol to WindClan she has to attempt to kill one, including her 'mate',"
"Thats to extreme. Exile is better," I insisted. I am exiling her whether he likes it or not. Scar hissed in frustration, "Oh come on Scar, lets just get her to prove her loyalty!" I growled low to myself. 'Should I give in? He won't give in until I do. . .' I sighed, "Fine. She will prove her loyalty by killing a WindClan cat tomorrow." I gave in. I hate giving in! "Finally! Venom, I am leaving to go to sleep now." I dipped my head and watched his dark pelt disappear out of my cave. "I would've exiled her if Scar wasn't so in love with her," I sneered to myself, laying my head on my paws.

Venom's P.O.V.
The commotion outside was driving me to insanity. I twitched my ear and got up. I didn't stretch today, these cats out side are killing me! I stalked out and sat down. I noticed Thunder was being helped by Leaf with herbs, he must be into it.
"What is going on?" I yowled. Scar hurried over and huffed out, "Theres two eagles above and we can't get them down enough to kill them. They are really smart." I nodded and ran up onto the High Stone, "Alright, Dodger, Scar, act hurt, Midnight, Fox and Thorn, when they come down, attack them. I will help." I announced. I turned to the rest, "The rest of you, get into the dens!" They gathered up the apprentices and quickly ran them into their dens.
The flapping of wings came louder and louder then is swooped down, the second one as well. I dashed over to where Scar and Dodger were. I saw Dodger flinch away, squeezing his eyes shut in fright. 'What a scaredy-mouse!' I hissed to myself. I felt the eagles' talons ripping through my fur and I flipped onto my back and slashed at it. It flew up far enough and then dived towards me. I unsheathed my claws, shut my eyes and prepared for the impact of him. But it never came. . .
I opened them and saw it flapping its huge wings with someone else in its talons. The second one flew up to the other and the worst sight came.
"Daddy!" Vinegar called running out of the apprentice den. 'Scar!' Shell ran out to get him but Sage ran out too. Then the second eagles' talons ripped into Scar's neck, making him shriek. Cats came out and watched in utter horror. Scar's head came detached from his body and blood splattered everywhere and on every cat. But I got the most.
The blood came in a puddle then a few drips as they flew away. I felt every cat's pair of eyes land on me. I looked at Shell and her two kits. Grief for Scar was like none before, he was always loved in the Tribe. . . I ran onto the High Stone and yowled, "With the loss of our great deputy, I and Leaf will decide."
'The Tribe of Glittering Stars obviously doesn't appreciate our ways.' I thought with a simple shake of my head.
