Chapter 9: New Guests

Third Person POV

As they entered the village, the warm glow of torches illuminated the area. Ashe and Tracy looked around in awe—Na'vi of all sizes moved gracefully, their eyes filled with curiosity as they observed the newcomers.

At the center, a tall, elegant Na'vi woman stepped forward. Her golden eyes locked onto Ashe and Tracy, scanning them intently. She was stunning, with intricate beads woven into her hair and a regal posture. Without hesitation, she approached and began touching their arms, shoulders, and even patting their stomachs.

Tracy: "Uh... Y/n?" She whispered, stiffening as the woman continued her examination. "Is this normal?"

Y/n chuckled. "Relax. She's the Tsahik—our spiritual leader. Her name is Eelay... and, well... she's also my mate."

Ashe and Tracy froze. Their eyes went completely wide from hearing his words.

Ashe: "Wait—your what?!" She nearly shouted.

Eelay finally smiled. "You are strong, but fragile," she observed, her hands now on Ashe's waist. "Soft... different from us."

Tracy stepped back. "Okay, can we talk about the wife part first?!"

Y/n scratched his head.

Y/n: "Long story short... she saved my life. The tribe accepted me, and I changed. That's why I can breathe the air... and why I dress like this."

Ashe and Tracy exchanged stunned looks, but another detail caught their attention—the Na'vi women here looked different. Their features were softer, their curves more pronounced compared to other Na'vi they had seen. Especially their chests and their rears.

Tracy leaned closer to Ashe.

Tracy: "Is it just me, or are the women here... uh... built differently?"

Ashe gulped. "Yeah. Definitely different."

Relay tilted her head. "Is something wrong?"

Ashe and Tracy quickly shook their heads. "Nope! Nothing at all!"

Y/n smirked. "Welcome to the tribe."

Ashe and Tracy stood there, trying to process everything. Y/n had a wife. A whole new life. And the worst part? He could never have been theirs.

Tracy forced a smile. "Well... that's great for you, Y/n. Really."

Ashe nodded, though her heart sank. "Yeah. If you're happy, that's what matters."

Y/n studied them, sensing something off. "You two okay?"

Tracy: "We're fine," She said quickly. "But... why didn't you tell us? We thought you were dead."

Y/n sighed. "Because the RDA tried to kill me."

Both girls' eyes widened. "What?!" Ashe gasped.

Y/n: "They saw me as a traitor, that they didn't need me anymore" He explained. "I barely escaped. Eelay and the tribe found me, saved me, and gave me a home."

Tracy clenched her fists. "I knew the RDA was bad, but this?"

Y/n shook his head. "I'm better off here. I have a family now, a life that actually means something."

Ashe swallowed hard. "So... you're never coming back?"

Y/n smiled softly. "No. This is my home now."

The girls shared a look, disappointment settling in their chests. They had missed their chance.

Ashe and Tracy were still reeling from Y/n's words when Eelay suddenly stepped forward, her expression calm but firm.

Eelay: "You cannot leave," She stated.

Both girls blinked in shock. Tracy's stomach dropped.

Tracy: "Wait... what?"

Eelay: "You are here now. You will stay," She continued. "It is for the best."

Ashe frowned. She places both of her hands on her hips and looks directly at the Tsahik

Ashe: "Hold on, we weren't planning on moving in! We have to go back."

Y/n sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Look, I know this is a lot, but maybe staying wouldn't be so bad."

Tracy's eyes widened. "Y/n, you can't be serious! Our real bodies are back at the RDA base!"

Y/n: "I know," He said.

Y/n: "But you're safer here. The RDA doesn't care about you. They'll turn on you the second you stop being useful—just like they did to me."

Both of the girls stared at him for a moment, they then look at each other.

Ashe shook her head.

Ashe: "We can't stay here forever, Y/n." She said crossing her arms.

Y/n sighed. "I get it. When night falls, you'll wake up back at the base. But while you're here... just think about it."

Tracy exhaled sharply. "Fine. But we're not staying forever."

Eelay simply smiled. She leans on to her mates back.

Eelay: "We shall see."she said as she wrapped her arms around Y/n.

TIMESKIP

The next morning, Ashe and Tracy awoke in their human bodies, the familiar discomfort of the RDA base surrounding them. Both girls sat up, groggy and disoriented, the memory of the tribe still fresh in their minds. They quickly got dressed, moving toward the command center where Colonel Quaritch was waiting.

Ashe "Colonel," she greeted, trying to keep her voice steady.

The Colonel's sharp gaze focused on them.

Quaritch: "Report. What happened out there?" He said with a stern tone.

Tracy glanced at Ashe, a silent conversation passing between them.

Ashe: "We were attacked by a pack of viperwolves," she said quickly, her voice calm but with just a hint of tension. "We got knocked out cold but we're fine now."

Quaritch: "And the trail?" The colonel pressed, his voice thick with suspicion.

Tracy clenched her fists at her sides. "We lost it. We were too disoriented after the attack. By the time we regained consciousness, the trail was gone."

The Colonel narrowed his eyes. "You sure about that?"

Tracy: "Yes, sir," she replied, forcing herself to stay calm. "There was nothing we could do."

Quaritch paused, studying them both. "You better not be lying, or I'll make sure you regret it."

Ashe: "We're telling the truth, sir," She added, her voice firm.

The Colonel grunted. "Alright. Get some rest. You'll be going out again soon."

As they left the command center, Tracy let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Tracy: "That was too close." She said wiping the sweat off her head.

Ashe: "Yeah," She muttered, her thoughts still with the tribe.

She was still taking in the thought that Y/n, her best friend was married already. And that he was happy where he was. She also still had to remember her, Quaritch wanted him dead for an unknown reason.

Ashe: "But we did what we had to."

They walked in silence, knowing that the truth about what had happened in the jungle would remain their secret—for now.
