 A month after Tierno's funeral, showcase season has once again begun, and while Serena was still grieving she decided to participate in the showcases, Ash and Goh who were still in Kallos as Goh had to be questioned about the murder, after hearing about Serena going on more showcases Ash and Goh decided to journey with her, with Ash deciding to challenge the Kallos league again now as the Alola champion, and Goh to catch some rare Pokemon, but secretly his motive was to make Ash have an "accident" during the journey to eliminate the competition, with Serena's first showcase coming being today.

"I'm really excited to watch the showcase!" Goh said excitedly, "Sure you are..." Ash said smugly between the incident on the plane and Tierno's death Ash and Goh's friendship has fallen apart after the gang arrived at the building where the showcase was to take place a horde of fans came to talk to Serena who became famous during her travels in Hoenn as a coordinator.
