Chapter 1
A time, long ago,a king with a mighty name called Dashiell, had three beautiful daughters.
Cornelia,Emilia,and Valeriana.
Their names and their loyal origin was going all around the country of Ancient Greece.
Many wealthy and prestigious men wanted the daughters as their wives.
Cornelia, the first daughter was soon married to a high class aristocrat.
But Emilia, the second daughter, when the time came for her to be put in marriage,no man wanted her.
Her parents gave the girl time to find a husband until Valeriana, the third daughter, will get married.
But as the time passed and no one asked her for marriage,Valeriana married before her.
Desperate her parents, they went to the oracle of Delphi and asked what they could do so their daughter will get married.
The oracle answered with the following words:
"Your actions will not help your second child, since she will not find someone at this time, but in another time, where her husband will await in the green time of the year."
Her mother cried as the king tried to comfort her, exiting the oracle holding one another.
Emilia didn't like the news, and in tears left the house, thinking the lonesome life she will have as no one will ever love her.
As she was running, she found herself in the middle of the forest, tears in her eyes as she collapsed, gripping the grass sobbing.
Persephone, watching her suffer from the underworld, she decided to end her pain.
"Until the right time comes again, you will be one of them."
And with a blow of wind, the leaves traveled around Emilia's body, making her gasp as she stood up,feeling her feet becoming one with the ground.
And as her last tears fall on her cheeks, she accepted the curse that was casted upon her,and became what the Gods wanted her to be.
A tree girl.
The history teacher ended the dramatic story telling of the myth, having a dramatic pose as the class wasn't really intrigued by it.
"So,did you like it?" She asked excited to the class as she closed her myth book.
Everyone looked at each other, giving awkward smiles.
"I liked it Miss Jen!" Chris exclaimed with a big smile and David that was sitting behind him playfully smacked the back of his head.
"Of course you only did." David mumbled and the teacher sighed,as the bell chimed for break time.
Everyone gathered their stuff and exited the class,as Chris dragged the groaning David towards the teacher's desk.
"That was,yet again,an amazing myth Miss Jen!" He said with a big smile and she smiled a bit.
"Thank you Chris,at least somebody enjoys my lesson." She grabbed her bag and her jacket, sighing."I just don't get why others don't enjoy my lesson,I try to do something outside of the school book and learn with fun but..looks like I am wasting time."
"It's not our fault they are lame." David mumbled and Chris gently elbowed him on the stomach.
"They will soon see what they are missing out, just keep doing what you love Miss Jen."
She smiled, ruffling his messy brown hair as his green eyes glowed from happiness.
"Thank you Chris, you are the best.Well anyways,I need to go,bye you two!" She said waving at them walking towards the door as they waved back.
Chris kept on waving, having a stupid smile on his face before David gently slapped his cheek.
"Wake up,she is not here anymore."
Chris pouted and rubbed his cheek.
"You know that she will never look at you in that way right?"
"Excuse me,why not?I am eighteen now,she is only twenty four,I can see it easily happening." He said proudly crossing his arms.
David gave him a glare with his blue eyes."She will get in trouble for going out with a student."
"I know but, maybe slowly start something, get close with each other and after graduation, bam!Chris has a girlfriend." He smirked and nodded surely about that.
David was about to slap him again but he stopped him."Stop slapping me!"
"It's the only way to get back in reality, stupid." He poked his cheek and Chris pouted again.
From the corner of his eye he noticed a book on the teacher's desk, making him gasp dramatically.
"I found it David."
"What."
"The ticket to win her heart!"
He squirmed away from the tall boy and grabbed the book, smiling big.
"She forgot the book with the myths here.David do you know what that means?!"
"That you need to give it to her now before the next period starts?"
"Oh no,no,even better!"
The emotionless boy just raised an eyebrow, looking at the mad man with his new plan.
"Listen how it will go,today is Friday and weekend is following,I will keep the book until i go home, text her that I have it and then,we will have to meet to give it to her! That means meeting somewhere where we can have a coffee or dinner, and bam! It's a date!"
The excited teen jumped up and down smiling happily, holding the book tightly against his chest.
"You need to get some help."
"And you need a girlfriend, you are more dead than my social media!"
David managed a small smirk, shrugging."I don't need someone to be happy."
Chris rolled his eyes,as the bell chimed for next period."Alright Mister 'i don't need anyone',next period is up and you need to be creative for art class!"
David groaned as he got dragged by the sleeve and Chris smiling with confidence about his plan, holding the mythology book close to him.
