It was finally Saturday, Halloween, and later tonight Six Below Zero would be performing at Mayor Sanderson's Halloween bash.

Selena was hibernating upstairs in her room because the band was coming over to practice.

The first to arrive was Andrea who brought this huge chest that held our costumes in it.

"I think we should put our costumes on before rehearsal so we can get a chance to practice in them." Andrea suggested.

"That's a good idea." I told her.

We were all doing a themed group costume of the Nightmare Before Christmas.

Andrea pulled out some body painted and started painting scars and stitches to my body. I finished the look with red lipstick, a red haired wig, a dress that was patched oddly together and some black boots.

"You make a fantastic Sally!" Andrea said, as I helped her with her costume.
She was dressing as the harlequin demon, and she painted a mouth protruding hundreds of teeth. It looked crazy scary, and real. Andrea was a super talented artist. She finished the look with a headband that had orange and black striped tentacles attached to it and wore a matching dress with green crocs.

"Wow." Jack said walking down. "You guys look sick."

I found myself blushing and looking down at the ground.

"Here, Skellington, let's make you look like an actual skeleton." Andrea said to Jack, whipping out her face paint.

It didn't take long for Andrea to turn Jack ferguson into Jack Skellington, complete with a pinstriped suit, the bat bowtie, and fancy black shoes.

Elijah, Jerrold, and Danny all arrived around the same time and Andrea worked her magic on them.

Elijah dressed up as Oogie Boogie. That didn't take to long, as it was just a bunch of sacks thar had two holes for the eyes and another one for the mouth that Andrea seen together that he just slipped on over his head, however it still looked just as impressive.

Jerrold, wore a pair of overalls, yellow gloves, and a head band that made it look like an axe was impeded in his head. Andrea used her paint to make his eyes look bloodshot, and he was transformed into Behemoth.

And then it was Danny's turn. He was dressed from head to toe in red, and wore a red wig, he carried a silver pitchfork that was fashionably bent ant the prongs and wore contacts that made his eyes gold. Andrea finished the look creating bags under his eyes, and Danny was no more, instead he was Lock.

We all praised and complimented Andrea. She did a fantastic job transforming us.

We practiced for what only felt like minutes, and then suddenly we were behind stage with the other bands.

The party was held outside, at the Roseville City Park.

People were setting up games and booths, others were putting the finishing touches of the decorations up.

In Roseville we took Halloween seriously.

It was almost 8 PM and trick or treating was almost over. Soon the party would begin.

Mayor Sanderson was pacing back and forth on the stage, no doubt impatient for the party to start.

"Oh look who it is!" An all to familiar voice called out.

I felt myself shrink.

It was Deanna.

I turned around and saw her, with two over her friends, all dressed up as the Chippettes, Deanna obviously Brittany.

"Hi Deanna." I said, fiddling with my fingers and looking at the ground.

" I never thought I'd see you back here." She sneered. "Are you lost or what?"

"No. I am the lead singer for the band Six Belwo Zero. We are the opening act." I told her, still not meeting her gaze.

"Oh honey, you don't want to embarrass yourself." Deanna mocked me.

"Speaking of embarrassment," another familiar voice spoke, "you should look in the mirror."

I turned and saw my sister dressed as a beautiful and flawless Greek Goddess. A guy in a leather jacket and ripped jean's stood next to her, I was not sure who he dressed up as, but he was very attractive with blonde hair and emerald eyes and a muscular build.

Deanna's jaw dropped, but she didn't argue back. She knew she already lost, so she turned on her heels and stomped away, Jennette and Elenor on her heels.

"You really shouldn't let them talk to you like that." The guy said, looking me up and down multiple times. His gaze made me feel uncomfortable and it made me want to squirm.

"Who is he?" I asked my sister completely ignoring the guy.

"His name is Sebastian. He is an old friend of Jack's.

"Okay..." I responded, before Elijah waved me over to where the band was.

"We are on in three minutes guys," Jack spoke. "This is a big crowd, so we should do our best out there and maybe we will be good enough to score some more gigs."

There was an unanimous nodding of heads as the mayors voice blared from the speakers.

"Hello everyone. I would like to thank everyone for coming to the party and would like to wish you all Happy Halloween."

There was a cheer from the crowd, and then the mayor continued.

"We will be starting off with some spooktacular music performed by the band Six Below Zero!"

The crowd erupted into cheers and Selena mouther good luck to me as we rushed onto stage.

Fog machines and green lights cast an eerie tone over the stage that was decorated to look like a cemetery.

I looked over at the crowd and was shocked to see so many people looking up at us. Jack was right this was a huge crowd, so how we perform would be a huge deal. However I wasn't scared or really even nervous.

I felt like this was where I was born to be.

Elijah started off with drums followed by Danny on the piano. Andrea, Jack, and Jerrold joined in, and then finally I began to sing.

"Boys and girls of every age
Wouldnt you like to see something strange?
Come with us and you will see
This, our town of Halloween

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!
Pumpkins scream in the dead of the night.
This is Halloween everybody make a scene
Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright!"

I sang my heart out and danced in a sort of creepy robotic zone sorta way.

The crowd was singing along and everyone was dancing to the music. This was so much fun and we were only on our first song!

When we got to the part of the song about Jack Skellington,  Jack got to play a guitar solo and it was fantastic.

It was too soon when the song was over, and we started to sing I Put a Spell on you from the movie Hocus Pocus.

It only felt like moments had passed instead of the hour that we used up singing various Halloween songs.

The six of us all exchanged high fives and exhilarated smiles as we left the stage and the next band took our place.

What we just did on that stage infront of all those people- well there was no words to describe this awesome, fantastic, amazing feeling.

"You guys killed it up there," Colton said, walking up to us in a Gladiator costume. I had to stifle a giggle. His costume kinda matched with Selena's.

"Thanks!" I told him.

Jack and Elijah just kinda glared at him, but the others traded high fives with him.

"Has anyone seen Selena?" I asked. I wanted to know what she thought of us.

"I saw her with some guy over by the bathrooms." Colton informed me

I nodded thanks, before heading off in that direction, but before I was out of earshot I heard Jack ask, "What guy?!" He did not sound happy about it.

I spotted Selena with Sebastian a couple minutes later.

The  bathrooms were in a brick building off always from the party, secluded by trees.

"I told you, your not my actual boyfriend! Your just here to make Jack jealous!" Selena snapped at Sebastian.

"C'mon I wanna have fun." Sebastian argued back, sliding his hand through the slit in Selena's white dress, to grab at her. This caused her to squirm, and try to fight her way out, but Sebatian was way stronger than her.

She let out a whimper.

I hated seeing my sister so powerless. It made me so upset.

I knew I didn't like the slime bag.

Without thinking things through, I launched myself onto his back and wrapped my arms around his neck, tightly.

He let Selena go, and stumbled backwards.

He tried to shake me off, but I did not allow my grip to loosen, and before I knew it he started running backwards, ramming me into a wall.

I yelled out in pain, because my God this hurt like a sun of a gun, but I refused to let go.

I was gonna make him feel how my sister did. Powerless.

"Stop hurting my sister!" Selena yelled at him as he rammed me into the wall yet again, this time on my side. I heard a sickening crunch and felt pain flash through my ribbs.

I cried out again and squeezed tighter, and Sebestian was gasping for breath.

He crumpled to the ground on his knees.

"Don't touch my sister ever again." I spat into his ear and I finally let go, falling down behind him.

I clutched my side, wincing at the pain.

At some point Selena had grabbed a stick and now she whacked him over and over again, forcing him into the fetal position.

"Don't hurt my sister!" She yelled.

"Hey!" Someone called out.

Jack, Elijah, and Colton were rushing over.

Selena dropped the stick breathless, and Sebastian took this opportunity to run.

"That was badass." Jack told Selena, and then engulfed her in a kiss.

I shut my eyes. I was already in enough physical pain, I didn't need mental pain as well.

"Is now really the time for that?" Colton questioned.

"Bri, can you stand?"

I opened my eyes to see Elijah crouched down by my side, his hands over mine.

I tried to get into a sitting position, but crumpled back down in pain with a yelp.

"Brina!" Selena cried, rushing to my other side.

"Colton, Call 911!" Elijah ordered.

"On it!"

"Jack, go find that bastard, he is not getting away with this."

"Of course."

I could feel the tears spilling from my eyes.

"Its gonna be okay," Elijah told me, lifting one of his hands to move some of my hair out of my face.

I only nodded.

I can't understand how the best night of my life has turned so bad so fast.

This chapter was originally going to be split into two, but I decided not to leave y'all on a cliff hanger, mainly because I'm not consistent with updates (it could be anywhere between 2 hours to 2 weeks until I'd update again).
