Daryl helped Rick get Shane into the cell, at first he wasn't going in but once Daryl bared his teeth Shane instantly cowered and backed into the cell on his own accord. Rick smiled and patted Daryl's arm taking him back up the stairs of their ship. They made their way along the deck and Daryl sat with Rick waiting for Negan to come back.

"Daryl," Rick began with a soft smile as he looked him over.

Daryl looked up with a half cocked smile.

"I hope you know Negan's a good man, and our entire crew will do everything we can to protect you for him. For yourself too. Shane is as intelligent as a barnacle. He is incredibly self centered, and I hope you know we would never do anything to put you in harms way, you're Negan's and we will do whatever we can to make sure you stay that way."

Daryl smiled big, his teeth becoming exposed once more. Rick looked them over, unsure of what to say about them. "Th..than..thank.. You." Daryl managed out after a moment.

"You're doing much better with speaking," Rick beamed as he watched Daryl over knowing very well that Negan would want him under watch.

"Negan is hel..helping." Daryl beamed as he examined the coin dangling from his hair.

Daryl smiled as he continued to play with the coin becoming distracted quickly, the coin shone in the sunlight. Rick noticed him becoming distracted and couldn't help but chuckle, he had a leather pouch attached to his belt. He removed it and emptied it out, Daryl's head jumped up with interest. A few sparkling rubies landed in Rick's hands, the shining jewels hit the sunlight just right and Daryl inched closer reaching out for them.

Rick pulled them back. "No no," Rick muttered. Daryl whined as he pulled his hands away. "Do you know what you are?"

Daryl narrowed his eyes in question and shook his head no. Rick slid over a ruby and smiled as Daryl examined it closely, his eyes growing big with excitement. A golden ring became more clear around his eyes as he examined the ruby.

"Daryl," Rick smiled, "you like shiny things?"

He nodded enthusiastically as Rick handed him another ruby. "Pretty." Rick snickered softly, he watched Daryl play with the rubies like a child when Negan came back on board. Daryl smiled as Negan stepped up on the board as the rest of the men made their way onto the deck. "Pretty." Daryl repeated as Neagn got closer.

"Rick give you rubies treasure?" Daryl nodded happily as he handed them back to Rick when he noticed his master had his hand behind his back. "I brought a gift for you."

Daryl beamed waiting patiently for Negan to pull whatever it was he had hidden away. "Wh..wh-..ngh..at..what is it?" Daryl asked, managing to get his words out finally.

"You're doing so good guppy," Negan said proudly. "Alright, it's a sweet treat."

Daryl's eyes got big as he revealed a sweet roll. Daryl reached for it eagerly, Negan tsked and Daryl looked up with question in his eyes. Negan lowered himself down towards his lover, he got a kiss from him before he handed him the sweet.

Daryl quickly devoured it with a big smile on his face. Negan grinned watching him lovingly, Daryl squeaked happily. The crew mates watched them with smiles on their faces, they loved watching Daryl and Negan interact.

"Alright men, now that we have our supplies it's our time to head out."

Daryl frowned, unsure of what to do, he hated the water. The ocean still terrified him, but the crew members were mostly all there to protect him. Negan of course would do whatever he could to ensure Daryl's safety.

Daryl shivered slightly as they got the boat on course for their destination. Daryl held onto Negan tightly, Negan chuckled a slight bit as he tightened his grip.The crew mates watched them with soft smiles as they kept their eyes focused on the ocean.

"Alright men, let's keep our ship tip top shape."

The men nodded enthusiastically ensuring they worked hard for their captain. Daryl was near the side of the boat when Dwight asked him if he wanted to help him with the ropes. "A..alri..alright."

Negan smiled as Daryl began to help the crew out Daryl helped as he was asked but made sure he didn't grow too near the side of the boat. The men continued to watch Negan while their newest crew member worked on the ropes, Negan loved watching Daryl move and work. Dwight held out his hand for Daryl as he climbed up some of the ropes, Daryl looked to Negan who gave him a nod to ensure he knew it was okay.

Daryl took Dwight's hand and climbed up following him nervously. He looked over the side of the boat with a half smile when he truly saw the beauty of the ocean, as they worked on the ropes a large wave hit the side of the boat. Dwight lost his footing and knocked into Daryl, everyone looked up in panic as both men tumbled from the ropes.

Rick and Negan were quick, both men raced to their aid catching them before they fell over the side of the boat. Daryl clung to Negan whimpering in terror. "No.. no water."

"It's okay honey," he promised as he held him tightly. "We won't let it happen, I won't let you in there until you're ready."

Dwight looked over Daryl unsure of what to say. "Sorry, didn't mean for that to happen."

"We know you didn't," Negan remarked as he held Daryl close to him. "Daryl's just a bit terrified of the ocean. He's nervous as hell of the water. My guppy will learn the ocean isn't bad in the future, for now however I think we will keep my little one out of the water."

Daryl kept close to Negan, he was terrified by the ocean but Negan kept him safe. That was all he needed. He needed Negan.
