Its a night time . And as usual I was trying to sleep holding onto my pillow . I just tried closing my eyes and there was a knock on the door .

I pulled myself from the bed , and walked to the door . I was shocked seeing dadi with a glass of milk in her hands . I asked her to come in and closed the door . She sat on the bed and sat beside her . She handed me the glass of milk , she made me feel so loving . She is just like my mom's mother . I said , " Dadi its okay , I don't need this " 

She replied with a concern , " Why don't you need this , drink this fast then I will move "

I drank it in front of her and then handed her the glass , she caressed my cheeks and said " That's like my Good gurl " 

While going she stopped and caressed at my hairs again , and whispered " You are just like your parents " 

I was so shocked , did she knew them ? I stopped her and moved infront of her and asked her in shocker  , " Now . Now what did you said ?? Do you know my parents " 

She just huffed and said with a simple smile , " No dear , its seems so " 

And I just relaxed but still in confusion and then hugged her saying good night Dadi , to which replied by placing kiss on my forehead " Sleep tight " . I smiled back to her and closed the door . 

She is seriously a loving person , she just gives me a vibe like I m her own family member . Just like Mr. Goenka . 

I jumped on my very soft bed and catched my pillow and drifted into the sleep .

Author's pov : 

Naira came downstairs getting ready in her casual attire , and greeted everyone morning . Dadi asked her to sit on the dinning table in just parallel to her . She sat there and smiled to her . Kartik was yet not on the table , He is not an early riser .. 

Dadi asked Naira to move and wake up Kartik to which Swarna rolled her eyes and Natasha gave the blank face expression to her . Naira said , " Dadi , How can I ? " 

Dadi annoyingly replied , " Why not youu ? "

Naira being not able to fight back bowed down to Dadi and  headed to Kartik's room . She was like what should I do going there .

She moved to his bed , calling him " Kartikkkkk , Kartikkk wakee upp " 

She shaked his hand but still he was sleeping like nothing is happening around him .

Kartik's pov :

I was sleeping in the best dream of my life , and just woke up in a jerk as someone poured the chilling cold water over me . I just covered myself with my blanket in order to save myself and in this unknowingly I pulled the hand of the person who poured water at me . And opened my eyes only to see Naira was in my arms . 

She was struggling with her hairs which got totally on her face as I pulled her . I tucked her hairs behind her ears slowly and just stared her . My hand still there and we were just inches apart from each other , even able to feel each others heavy breath . 

Our eyes just stopped like wanting to know each other letting the moment stop here like this only . We both were in the same position . But Natasha , that bitch just ruined the moment . 

Natasha came inside and started clapping , making both of us aware of our positions and we both pulled each other with the jerk , and Naira looked down didn't facing Natasha . 

Natasha said to naira moving to my side ,  " You orphan , didn't I told you to stay away from him" 

I was so shocked , I didn't knew about Natasha saying this to Naira . I would've known that this would only be the reason of Naira saying me to move out of her room and taunting me for Natasha . I just looked at Naira who was still silent . I didn't see her like this since I met her . 

Natasha : Why don't you reply now , what did you said he is all yours and all and what were you doing now ?? 

Naira replied calmly , " Look I was trying to wake him up but when I poured water on him he accidentally pulled my hand nothing more " 

Natasha shouted back at her , " So do the position remain same for this much time that you both were lost " 

I seriously wanted to bit the crap out of Natasha but due to her being Khurana uncle's daughter I couldn't do that . I just peeped at Naira who was still silent , she looked like she had to speak so many things but she was holding herself . I so fucking wanted to take a stand for herself . 

And at the spin of the moment when I turned to say something to Natasha , Naira ran out of the room . 

I got myself up and was moving to bathroom , but Natasha stopped me . 

Natasha : Kartik I m telling you stay away from that orphan bitch , afterall she is not even of your standards . 

My blood boiled listening to her , I don't know why but I don't think she has any right to interfere in my matters and especially when it comes to herself  , she so far is not type of my standards . I rolled my eyes and looked up at her and spoke , " Sorry but I don't think you are the person to tell me who matches my standards or not . So please move out , I will be downstairs within few minutes "

She just was going to say something and I cut her off saying , " Please " gesturing my hand toward the door . She moved out and I just sat on the bed thinking about what just happened now . I thought about Naira , how would she be feeling right now .. I need to ask her dude , thinking this I got up from the bed and freshen up asap ( as soon as possible ) and moved downstairs . 

I slowed down my steps as I was halfway to dinning room , I looked over whole table but I couldn't find Naira . I turned to look at every corner of the house standing at one place , but didn't saw Naira . Dadi coughed and said , " Kartik , She have gone outside saying she had meet up with her best friend so she have plans to it there only " 

I felt like , did she left meal because of that incident or really she has a meet up ? I just pulled out the chair , and was going to sit . I was in a gesture to sit but suddenly fell down , and heard everyone laughing at me . I just got an idea about who can do this and no , so I just pulled the leg of the person standing behind me , making him fall to . God , he was Sid ... Quite afer a long time I had seen his face , its not like we didn't do the face time but still this vibe of being in front of each other is something different . We just laughed and laughed hugging each other . 

I just hugged him so tight , it was our brotherly hug . I really had tears in my eyes hugging him and then only Natasha yelled , " Kartik , atleast get up dude your clothes will get dull " 

And it didn't took me a minute to get up and I just made my face straigth to Natasha that one can die seeing that expression , I clearly warned her , " You are no one to tell me what to do or what not , and especially when it comes to my best friend " 

I just holded Sid's hand and took him out of the Mansion . He had brought his bike with him so he took it and we both moved near the Mumbai's highway . It since so long I visited here , during the college days , we used to bunk classes and used to come here for pass time . But then I had to leave college in middle , and after that time we are meeting now like after somewhat one and half years .

I was just adoring the beauty of the nature , and the cold breeze oozing through just was making me more and more nostalgic . And just then Sid parked his bike and I got off it and we moved towards the " Tapri " . Yeah " Chai ki tapri " where we used to visit just to feel nature's glory . 

I swear to you all , Drinking Chai at tapri in this type of atmosphere just relieves the soul . We just sat there and Sid ordered for us . And chotu (servant) brought us the chai at our table . It was really after so long drinking this . Harish uncle who was the owner of this shop came to me and cupped my cheeks and asked , " Kartikkk , Kitne dino baad aana hua beta ( after such a long time you are here ) . I eyed at him helding his hands , " Uncle , aapke hath ki chai ke liye kuch bhi chalega ( for the cup of tea from your hand I can do anything ) . He then went back to his place as new person came up placing order . 

And then Sid spoke , " Dude why did you got so rough to that girl , she was saying correct though" 

Me : Correct ? Correct my foot she has no rights to point out me . 

Sid : Hey , she is Khurana's daughter .. 

Me : so what , anyways leave that topic tell me how did you know I was here . I was going to give you surprise and I only got it . 

Sid : Aghh , its just my girlfriend took me to the airport as her friend was going to arrive here and then only I seen you while you were taking the coffee  , so just surprised you . 

Me : And really how you knew I would be okay after coming here ?? 

Sid : its because this was our favourite place , thats why !!

I don't know why this guy just knows me so well , and this is only why he is my best friend since childhood . I took the sip of the hot tea and just closed my eyes feeling its warmth . I missed all this . After finishing the cup of tea , we decided to have a ride here and there on his bike . 

We got on the bike and as usual he catched up to his fast speed riding just like in old days . We first moved to the beach where we had our coconut water and spend our time there . Then it was almost evening we moved out of playstation , after a long game to which I had the victory  as usual . And then only I reminded of Naira , she made me lose the match we had in California .

We then moved to Juhu beach for the sunset , and we sat on the sand swaying our palms in it and just stared to the view . We had a bottle of cola in our hand , we just stared and stared . 

He then stretched himself on land and then even I accompanied him just keeping a single hand near the head . 

He turned to my side and said , " Dude , It was the time when we used to rock this types of evenings " 

I replied back still staring at orangish Sky , " Yeah , seriously time changes but memories can't be cherished back , they just be the memories , the best one " 

He sighed getting back to his position .Then I asked , " When are you going to make me visit to your girlfriend  " 

He replied looking at me and even I turned to him , " Whenever she agrees " 

I started to tickle him so badly and said , " Ain't you getting much smarter this days " 

And he yelled , " Kartik sto---pppp itt dude , my sto---mach ------is---- hurting  man " 

I stopped and just got back on the sand still laughing and coughed sighing " This smile came back after so long " 

This is the best day , I was waiting for ....
