"As you all know, I am retiring." Masters voice echoed through the silence of the guild. 

Every member stood around the stage to hear what he had to say.

Everyone was sad to here that he would be stepping down.

He had told me a few months ago that the new Master would either me Gildarts or me.

Frankly I wasn't sure why he wished me over some of the other Members such as Erza or MiraJane.

Though I do not understand his reasoning completely, I will respect what ever he chooses.

I do expect Gildarts to be chosen instead of me. He is much more qualified than me.

Plus is is powerful enough to be able to protect the guild. 

I on the other hand can barely protect a few people. 

"I have selected someone new to take my place. I have watched this person since the day they arrived to Fairy Tail and I believe they are more than suited for the title of Master." Makarov spoke confidently.

" I wonder who Master has chosen?"  Jet asked Droy hastily.

"Maybe it will be Levy!" Droy admired his small, blue haired companion.

"The Sixth Master of Fairy Tail will be..." Master paused letting the tension between the sentence grow stronger.

Everyone stared up at him, waiting for the news.

It made me wanna laugh to see how eager everyone was. Their faces plastered with grins, a few people were nearly in tears already.

"LUCY HEARTFILIA!" Master shouted.

I felt my heart drop.

I...had just been picked as Sixth Master of Fairy Tail...over Gildarts Clive.

It went completely silent, everyone's eyes turned to me.

I felt then as if everyone disapproved of his choice.

But just as I almost broke down, the guild's volume sky rocketed with cheers.

Levy ran over to me and attacked me with a warm hug. 

"Luc!!" She cried happily. 

I looked over to Makarov and smiled lightly, nodding in thanks.

Makarov smiled back at me, a proud look on his face.

If my mother could see me now. Master of the most amazing wizard guild in the world. 

"Master Lucy. So proud of you!" Erza grinned as she made her way to me. 

"You deserve it, Luc!" Levy smiled lovingly.

The Sixth Master of Fairy Tail and Celestial wizard, Lucy Heartfilia.
