Chapter 5

Two weeks later

Arnav was driving back home from his office. It had been two weeks since Khushi started working with him. Two weeks since she started coming to office with her kids.

Though they worked with each other. They hardly spoke about anything other than work related things. One because Khushi didn't respond to anything that he talked other than work. She simply ignored him and acted nonchalant by his presence.

And secondly, he didn't know how to approach her. He was too much guilty due to his past actions and whatever he did and said to her, he didn't had courage to talk to her.

On the other hand was Lavanya. The girl was amusing. Arnav thought with a chuckle. Clumsy but interesting. In this two weeks, whenever there's necessity to talk anything to him, Khushi pushed Lavanya to do that. The girl was a disaster. She needed guidance at every step.

She would run to Khushi for even smallest of the small problems. Well he must Khushi had immense patience to handle her and she did it perfectly. As a team, they were awesome. Khushi's management skills and Lavanya's vibrance gave a special effect to their team.

The only good thing that happened in these two weeks, according to Arnav was the little ones. He had come close to them. Whenever he got a chance, he would sneak them with him to his cabin or garden to spend time with them.

They also loved his company. The babies were a delight to spend time with. The similarities in their like and dislikes were the icing on the cake. They spent most of the time playing in his laptop, strolling in the garden, sometimes working there, or simply playing with their toys. It was a pleasure to spend time with them that he never used to realise when the time used to fly while being with them.

He came out of his thoughts hearing his phone ringing. Seeing his sister's number, he parked his car at the roadside and accepted the call. As soon as he switched on his Bluetooth, he heard her voice from other side.

Phone Conversation

Anjali: Bhai, did you asked Aman to send the items that I told you.

Arnav: Yeah.

Anjali: Did you told him that I had messaged the address to him.

Arnav: Yeah. I have told him and your things will reach on time.

Anjali: OK. Then. Bye.

Arnav: Wait.

Anjali: Yeah, Bhai.

Arnav: First you tell me this why you wanted those things. I mean those party wears, decoration items, all those things. As much as I know, there is no party or function at home today. Also none of your marriage rituals have started yet. Then why did you want all those things.

Anjali: Oh ho, Bhai. There is no function at our home nor it's for my marriage rituals. Actually today's Kiddos, I mean Khush's kids' third birthday. We were planning a surprise party for them. All these items are for that. Everyone's here only.

Arnav: What??? Kids' birthday?

Anjali: Yeah. I forgot to tell you. Anyways you don't like parties. That too kids' parties. So it's OK. Bye. Bhai. I have so much of work.

Phone Conversation ends

Before Arnav could say something, Anjali cut the call. He gaped at the phone. What the?? Kiddos' birthday and nobody told him. Damn you Anju. Why didn't you tell me before.

Now what will I do? I don't even know what and where they are planning surprise. And this Anjali, always keeps blabbering about all unwanted things but didn't tell the most important thing. It's Kiddo's birthday and I haven't even wished them, nor bought any gift for them.

God it was their first birthday with him. He is their Dada. He should be the one knowing first. But no. Nobody found it necessary to inform him. And this Anjali what did she said. It's kids' birthday party. He won't like it. So he shouldn't bother. Like hell, he shouldn't bother.

It was Kiddos' birthday party. His Kiddos' birthday party. He will definitely be there. He should be the one planning it. But Anjali, first she didn't inform him, now didn't even told him the place nor invite him.

How will he go now. Moreover what will he get them. He should get something special for his Kiddos. After all it's their first birthday party with him, the gift should be special.

Now he understood why Khushi took leave today from office. He was missing Kiddos from morning. But he was unaware that they were celebrating their birthday with everyone. Only he was missing. Dammit.

Cursing Anjali and others for not telling him and cursing everyone for planning the birthday party without him, he drove away to mall. He was determined. He would find someway to enter into the party. He was not going to miss his Kiddos' birthday party at any cost.

One hour later, he came out of the mall with gift packets in his hands. He had shopped lavishly for his Kiddos. After all their first birthday with him should be memorable. Satisfied with himself, he drove away.

He had planned it all. He will call Aman and find out the place where Anjali had asked him to send the things. He was sure, the party was going to happen there. He just have to find the venue and then he will reach there.

Entering inside the party won't so difficult. After all he was sure his whole family will be there including even the servants. That much his family love Kiddos and Khushi. So it won't be so difficult.

He was happily driving to reach his home so that he could change and go for the party, when a thought crossed his mind. His eyes widened. He stopped the car with a jerk. Fortunately it was on the side of the car.

Sitting inside the car, his mind drifted to the conversation he had with his sister, one hour back. She said that it was Kiddos' third birthday. Third. Yeah third. She said third right. Or was it second. No third.

Their third birthday. Which meant they were born three years back. He left India three years and eight months back. He still remembered the day he was with Khushi. He had left India two days after that. Which meant they were born, exactly eight months after day.

How's this possible. He knew Khushi was never with anyone before him. Which meant the babies were premature. But how much. Were they born on their eighth month or before. If they were born on their eight month. Could they be... HIS.

Arnav's breath fastened as this thought entered his mind. How will he find out the truth. He took out his phone and dialed the one number, he knew could give him correct answers. He knew it was a risk. The man had hawk like eyes. He would catch him like a predator but he didn't had a choice. He wanted answers.

Phone Conversation

The other side: Hello.

Arnav: Shyam, it's me, Arnav.

Shyam: Yeah, buddy. Tell me. I am hearing. Actually I am a bit busy. You know it's Kiddos' birthday, today. So we are making arrangements for it. Anyways tell me what happened? Why did you call me.

Arnav (composing himself): Nothing. Just like that. You tell me. How's the preparation for party going on.

Shyam: Awesome. Almost everything is set. Just a few last minute arrangements. That's all.

Arnav: Oh OK. It's their second birthday party, right. Or is it third.

Shyam: It's third birthday.

Arnav: Oh. So it's third birthday. OK then. I was just wondering because you know I left India almost 3 and a half years back. At that time, Khushi wasn't pregnant. So I thought maybe they are two years old.

Shyam: No yaar. They are three. Actually Khushi got pregnant after you left India. I mean almost at that time. Then the babies were also premature.

Arnav: Premature. Oh. That's so sad. I mean it would have been very difficult, right. I mean premature babies are so weak and all.

Shyam: No yaar. Actually Khushi gave birth in her eighth month. Yeah, they were a month premature. But the little ones were fighters like their mother. They survived. In fact they were absolutely normal. Even though they were born a month earlier, everything was normal.

Arnav closed his eyes hearing that. Taking a deep breath, he composes himself.

Arnav: Shyam, can you tell me where Khushi is now? Actually I had to discuss something regarding the fashion show with her.

Shyam: Oh Khushi is staying at Kashyap's apartment in xyz building. We...

Phone Conversation ends

Before Shyam could complete the sentence, the call was cut. He looked at the phone confused. Shrugging, he continued doing his work.

As soon as Shyam said about Khushi's whereabouts, Arnav cut the call. Starting his car, he drove off to her apartment. The fire was burning inside him.

He was now sure that the babies were his. There was no doubt. He remembered his family comparing the babies with him. How they looked like his childhood self. How their every action, likes and dislikes were like his. Earlier he enjoyed being compared with babies.

He loved it when everyone compared them and told how alike the babies were to him. He never thought about it much. He was just happy and satisfied with the fact that they were like him. He was just happy the babies who he wished to be his, resembled him so much.

But now he knew the reality. It wasn't mere coincidence. They resembled him because they were his. His children. His blood. His sons. He felt anger rising in him. Khushi. How could she hide such a big thing from him. He could she hide the existence of his babies from him.

Moreover, she lied to him when he asked about the babies' father. She said that their father's no more. She made him believe that they weren't his. How the hell could she do it. How could she hide such a big thing from him.

Parking the car, he got out and went to Kashyap's apartment. Ringing the bell, he waited for her to open the door. It was late evening. The sun had set. It was darkness outside. He waited impatiently for the door to open.

Few minutes later, he heard the click of the door knob. Just as he wanted, Khushi opened the door with a bright smile. Seeing him, she frowned.

"Arnav, you..." Khushi asked confused.

Not giving her a chance to say anything, he pushed her inside. Getting inside and closing the door behind him using his legs, he pinned her to the nearest wall. Khushi gasped at his actions.

The room was dark. The lights were switched off. The only source of light was the bright moonlight entering inside the room through the window. It was falling directly on their faces allowing them to see each other in the darkness.

"Arnav, what are you doing? Leave me." Khushi asked shocked out of her wits due to his actions.

He was still pinning her to the wall. "What am I doing? No Khushi. You tell me. What are you doing. Why did you do that?" Arnav asked looking deep into her eyes.

"What did I do?" Khushi looked at him confused. Is he again going to blame her for something that she didn't do. Is he again going to punish with no fault of hers. No. He can't do that.

She was looking at his eyes. It reflected lots of emotions. But one emotion was so prominent. Pain. But why he will be in pain. After all he had nothing to be in pain. Then why is he like this.

"Why did you do that to me, Khushi?" Arnav asked painfully.

Khushi looked at him confused. Now what did she do. Why is he blaming her again. God. No. Not again. She can't take it anymore.

"Arnav, whatever it is, say clearly. I couldn't understand anything." She said with slight irritation. She was scared. She wouldn't deny that. But she is not going to show him that. She masked her fear very well. She didn't know what he was going to tell. What he was going to accuse her for, this time. But she was not going to fall weak.

"Whose babies are Arav and Aryan?" Arnav asked her. Khushi looked at him shocked.

"Huh."

"Whose babies are Arav and Aryan?" He repeated.

"They are my babies."

"That I know, Khushi. I want to know about their father. Whose is their father?"

Khushi stiffened at the question.

"Wh... What" She stammered

" I asked a very simple question, Khushi. Who is the father of Arav and Aryan?"

"What nonsense? I don't want to talk about all these. Leave me." She pushed him and started moving, only to be pulled back by Arnav.

Pinning her once again, he hovered over her. "No, Khushi. You can't escape this time. Tell me who is their father. Who is the father of Arav and Aryan, Khushi?"

Arnav brought his face closer and looked into her intensely. His breath fell on her face. Khushi closed her eyes feeling helpless.

"Arnav, please, leave me." She wriggled in his arms.

"No Khushi. No today. You have to answer me, Khushi. Who is their father. Whose kids are they?" Arnav said tightened his hold on her wrist.

"Arnav..." A cry escaped her lips.

Arnav brought his face to the crook of her neck. Both their heartbeats were rising. Khushi was breathing heavily. She turned her face away from him. A lone tear escaped her eyes.

"Why, Khushi? Why did you do like that?" Arnav asked with sadness.

"Wha... what di... did I do?" Khushi stuttered.

Hearing her feigning ignorance, Arnav's anger raised. He pulled back and clutching her tightly by her upper arms pulled her towards himself.

A cry escaped her lips in surprise and pain. "Arnav, leave me. You are hurting me." Khushi struggled to get out of his hold.

"Is it paining you? It's paining me also dammit. Why, Khushi? Why did you do that? Why did you hide such a big thing from me? Why did you lie to me, dammit?" Arnav screamed.

Khushi flinched at his voice. She looked at him confused. "What???"

"Why, Khushi? Why did you hide that Arav and Aryan are my children? Why did you lie to me that their father's dead? Why, dammit?" Arnav screamed.

Khushi looked at him shocked and scared. How did he find out? She gulped.

Arnav looked deep into her eyes. His eyes were only showing pain. "Why, Khushi? Am I that bad that you hide about the existence of our children from me? You didn't tell me about them. And when I asked you, you lied to me that their father's dead. Really Khushi. Is their father actually dead? Am I actually dead for you, Khushi?" Arnav continued.

Tears escaped her eyes. He left her shoulder and cupped her faces. Making her look at him, he continued.

"Khushi, I know I have done a mistake. A big mistake. I misunderstood you. I accused you wrongly for what happened with Anjali. I didn't trust you. I betrayed you. I left you alone. But still Khushi, how could you hide them from me? I am their father, dammit. Don't you think I have a right to know about them? They are my children. My blood. Don't you think I have rights on them just like you? How could you hide such a big truth of my life from me, Khushi. How could you do this to me?" Arnav asked.

Tears were continuously flowing from her. All the past memories were running in front of her. All her hurt and pain which she had tried to bury were once again out. She was silently crying.

Arnav kept his forehead on hers still cupping her cheeks. Khushi was continuously crying. She closed her eyes. A lone tear escaped Arnav's eyes seeing her and also thinking about his children.

"Why, Khushi? Why did you betray me like this? Why did you hide the truth from me?" Arnav asked emotionally.

Hearing the word betrayal, Khushi opened her eyes. Her vulnerability was gone and was replaced with fury. She pushed him away with all her strength. "Leave me." She screamed.

Arnav was fast. Before she could go away, he pulled her again and pinned her to the wall once again. Tears escaped her eyes. The switches on the wall was pressed and lights were switched on.

"No dammit. You can't escape like this. You have to tell me, why did you do this? Why did you betray me?" Arnav looked at her face. Seeing her looking at something behind him with teary eyes, he frowned.

Turning around and looking behind him, he was shocked. His hold on her loosened. Khushi pulled herself out of his hands and fell on the ground crying.

There stood the whole Raizada family alongwith Shyam said Madhumathi. The only people missing were NK, Lavanya and kids. Everyone had teary eyes. Some were crying. Some were angry. Some were shocked.

Payal immediately ran to Khushi who was crying on the floor. She took her and made her drink water trying to console her.

Arnav looked around, it was then he noticed the decorations and arrangements. The house was beautifully decorated for the birthday party.

Looking at his family, he felt defeated. He felt ashamed. He looked down not able to face them. His mother, sister, Nani and Dadi were crying. Even his Manorama Chachi who always smiles had tears in his eyes. His father and Manohar Chacha had a disappointed look. Shyam looked angry and Madhumathi was shocked.

Shyam came forwards and said with gritted teeth, "Arnav, what the hell was that? You are Arav and Aryan's fa..father. You betrayed Khushi."

"Shyam, I..." Arnav couldn't say anything.

Next, Arjun came forward. "Arnav, what's all this we are hearing? You betrayed Khushi. How could you? Is this what we taught you? Betraying a girl. You disappointed me, Arnav. I was proud of you. I never expected you to do something like this." Ratna cried hearing that. She felt broken. Her upbringing had shamed her.

"Dad, I am sorry." Arnav said with teary eyes. Arjun shook his head and looked away.

Anjali came forward with tears in her eyes. "Bhai, what's all this? Why did you do all this? You betrayed Khush. Why, Bhai? Because of that incident, you did all these. I know it was my mistake trying to take my life. But for that you betrayed someone. How could you, Bhai." Anjali cried.

She ran to Khushi and kneeled down in front of her. Taking her hands in hers, she cried, "Khush, I am sorry. I am really sorry. I didn't know because of me, all this will happen. It all happened because of me. Bhai did all this because of me. You have to suffer so much because of me. Please, Khush. Please forgive me. Please. I am sorry. I am really sorry."

Khushi took her hands and wiped Anjali's tears. "No Anju, it didn't happen because of you. Don't blame yourself. You were not at fault. You didn't do anything. Don't feel sorry. Please Anju." Khushi said.

Anjali shook her head with tears and hugged her.

"I am sorry, everyone. I know I did a mistake. When I saw Anjali trying to take her life and found out what happened to her, I lost my mind. When Meera told me Khushi and her friends were behind it, I was angry. It was then, Khushi came and told me that she loves me. In my anger and hatred, I did all that. But the truth was I always loved Khushi. But when I came to know that she hurt my sister, I was angry. I know it was my mistake. I didn't trust her. But I was blind in anger and didn't realize what I did." Arnav said looking down.

"In your anger, you destroyed her life, Bhai. Do you know how much she had suffered because of you." It was Anjali. She was beyond angry. Her brother had misunderstood her best friend and had ruined her life.

"I know, Anju. I did a mistake. I am guilty of that. But she. What did she do? She hid my kids from me and lied to me that their father's dead. She betrayed me. She never told me about my kids." Arnav said.

Hearing that everyone frowned at him. Khushi's anger raised. Taking long strides, she reached him. Pulling him by his collar, she slapped him. Everyone gasped seeing that.

Khushi pulled Arnav by his collar and shouted with angry tears escaping her eyes. "What did you say, Mr Arnav Singh Raizada. That I betrayed you. Do you even know the meaning of betrayal. What you did, that's called betrayal. What did you said, Mr Raizada. You did a mistake. No. You did a sin. What were you telling, you did all that in your anger. That you love me. Yeah, right. You love me. That's why, when I came and told you about my feelings, you told me that you love me and then slept with me.

"Did you forget what you did after that. You accused me. You accused me of molesting your sister. You are telling me that you loved me. Then why didn't you trust me. Why didn't you gave me a chance to prove my innocence. Someone came and told you that I molested your sister and you believed. Didn't you had an ounce of trust on me. What's that love which has no trust in it.

"Did you forget what you said after that. You called me characterless. You told me that I sleep with men. Really, Mr Raizada. I sleep with men. How many men you know whom I slept with. You degraded my love for you. You called it lust. You pointed at me. You indirectly called me a sl... slut. Then you are telling me that I betrayed you.

"Yeah, I didn't told you that I was pregnant. I didn't told you about my kids. What was I supposed to do other than that. You told me that you hated men. You left me alone. You ran away to USA. How was I supposed to tell you all that. Would you have talked to me if I would have called you. Didn't you hated me, Mr Raizada. How was I supposed to inform a person who hated me and was sitting on the other side of the world that I was pregnant with his child. Tell me, Mr Raizada.

"And what were you telling I hid them from you. Did you know how much I have suffered after you left me alone after getting me pregnant. Why would you care, right. Did you know what and all I had to go through to bring them into this world. You ran away and I was the one who had to suffer.

"After you left, my parents fixed my marriage with a man almost double my age. They wanted their 18 year old daughter to get married to a 40 year old man for business purposes. Do you know how I felt after coming to know about it. I felt like killing myself. I felt that I have no value at all. First you left me and then my parents wanted to get rid of me.

"After one month, I came to know that I was pregnant. But unfortunately my parents found out. They wanted me to abort my baby. I denied. They started torchuring me. They locked me in my room. They didn't gave me food, they beat me, they torchured me. They even tried to force me to get abortion but I resisted. I fought with them. They were continuously trying to kill my child. Do you how difficult it was for me to stop them.

"And then one day, my so called fiance tried to rape me. I still don't remember how I escaped from him. While trying to save myself, I broke a glass bottle on his head. He was taken to hospital and then my marriage broke. My parents were furious. They beat me brutally and threw me out of the house late at night.

"You can't even imagine in what condition, I was that day. I was pregnant, starved, alone and that too in the middle of Delhi street at midnight. I didn't know what to do, where to go. There was nobody. I still don't know what would have happened to me that day if Shyam Bhai wouldn't have come and taken me to his house.

"He and Madhu Bua took care of me. They loved me and took care of me. But then again they had to suffer because of me. When everyone found out about my condition, they started bad-mouthing Bhai and Bua because of me. It was very difficult phase, but they didn't left me and stood with me. But I couldn't see them suffering because of me.

So I ran away. I ran away to a place where nobody recognized me. I went to Bangalore. Do you know what happened after that. I had no place to go. I tried to find house and job but nobody gave me home after knowing that I am unmarried and pregnant. At job places also the situation was same. I slept in the cold bench of children's park at night. I used to eat one time a day. It went on few days. Then one day I fainted on the road due to exhaustion. Lavanya found me that day.

"She took me to hospital. She and her family took care of me. I don't know if that day, Lavanya and her family weren't there, what would have happened to me. Maybe I wouldn't have been no more. It was only because of their kindness that I am alive today. I couldn't thank God enough for sending such people in my life. They were there with me throughout. Taking care of me, loving me, everything. When I found out I was having twins, more than me, they were happy.

"I was because of them I hadn't lost my sanity. They supported me always. But I used to be depressed. I used to have nightmares. All those horrible incidents that happened with my parents left a scar on me. I used to have panic attacks. But they supported me throughout. Slowly I was recovering.

"But then one day a major incident happened. There was a marriage in our neighborhood. Lavanya and our company were organising the function. Lavanya needed something from home. Nobody was there, so I decided to go. I was in my eighth month.

"I reached there and met Lavanya. I gave her the items and was returning when the bride's mother saw me. She knew about me and was very Orthodox. She started creating problems saying that I am a bad omen. Because of me now everything is ruined. I am black shadow and my presence will cause problems to her daughter's married life.

"Hearing that Lavanya started fighting with her. I couldn't take it and had a major panic attack. I fell on the floor hurting my stomach. They had to take me to the hospital. My condition was serious and the doctors had to do an emergency C - section to save my babies. Thus my babies were one month premature. But they were little fighters. They fought and was normal.

"After that my kids were my life. Do you know, Mr Raizada. I am an event manager. I organize marriage for others. I make arrangements from wedding card to each and every things needed for the marriage ritual. But still I can't attend a marriage. I can't see the bride and groom, I can't touch any of the bridal things. Because I am a bad omen. If I attend a marriage, if I meet a groom or bride then my unIuckiness would rub on them and then some problems will arise. I arrange everything but I can't do anything.

"I can't attend any good occasions. Be it birthdays, engagements, marriage, nothing. Everywhere people just want me to do their job and leave. Some even specifically say that I shouldn't attend or I shouldn't do the work. Look at the irony right. They want me to do everything but I shouldn't be there.

"Tell me, Mr Raizada. What was my fault in all these. Is it that I loved you. That I trusted you. I gave myself to you trusting you. I didn't do anything to your sister but still I had to bear the punishment. Tell me what was my fault." She cried.

"You were accusing me of keeping my kids away from you and betraying you, right. Then tell me Mr Raizada, what was I supposed to do. You were sitting at USA doing God knows what. Here me and my children were suffering. You didn't even once tried to find out how we were. What was I supposed to do. Do you know how much we wanted you. We needed you. But no. You weren't there. After all you hated us. You hated me.

"And after four years, when we had learned to live without you, you came back. Now you are accusing me of keeping them away from you. If you were so concerned then where were you till now. Now when we had made a life of ourselves, you come back claiming your right. Then where were you till now."

"And what did you said, I betrayed you and lied to you that my kids' father is no more. No Mr Raizada. I didn't. Because for me, my kids' father was that man who I loved and in whose eyes I saw love for me. But that man died that same day four years ago. For me, my kids' father died four years ago when he killed our love with his venomous words. And that's the truth which I had lived for four years of my life. The man I love and my kids' father is dead.

"The man standing before me may be alive. He may be someone's son, someone's grandson, someone's brother and all. But he is neither the man that I loved nor he is the father of my kids." Khushi said tiredly.

"Khushi..." A cry escaped Arnav's mouth. Everyone was crying. Not even one eyes was dry in that room. Every heart wept thinking about the pain this innocent soul had to gone through.

Arnav fell on his knees crying. "I am sorry, Khushi. I am sorry." He cried with lowered eyes and folded hands. He cried. He cried for his love. He cried for her pain. He cried for the hurt that he caused her. He cried on their fate.

Nobody tried to console him. Nobody had anymore strength to say anything. Khushi sat on the sofa with a defeated and blank face. No tears escaped her eyes. Payal and Anjali hugged her from the both sides crying on her shoulders.

Breaking everyone's trans, the doorbell rang. It was then everyone realized the reason where it all started. It was Kiddos' birthday. Nobody had any mood to celebrate. They decided to let go of the party.

But breaking all their thoughts, Khushi stood up. Wiping her tears, she made her dress proper and turned to everyone. "Today's my babies' birthday. I don't want it to be ruined because of anybody. Everything will happen as planned" She said eyeing Arnav.

Everyone nodded their heads agreeing. Soon all wiped their tears and made themselves presentable. Arnav got up on his legs and stood at a corner. He felt guilty. Everyone had a smile on their faces. Though fake.

All went to their hiding places. Khushi switched off the lights and putting a smile on her face, went to open the door. Their stood NK and Lavanya with kids.

As soon as they entered inside, everyone came out of their hiding places wishing happy birthday. The lights were switched on. The kids squealed happily seeing the decorations and all their favorite people together.

"Happy birthdayyy babies." Khushi took both of them in her arms and kissed their little chubby cheeks.

"Thank you, Mumma." Both said kissing her back.

All Raizadas were looking at the kids with different emotions. Earlier, they loved the kids, but now knowing that they were their own blood, they felt different. The elders felt their eyes welling up seeing their grandchildren. Their next generation.

Slowly everyone hugged, kissed and wished them. The babies though annoyed with constant kissing could do nothing but pout cutely. Arnav stood at a corner seeing his kids getting his family's love.

His own eyes welled up seeing them. His sons. His children. The symbols of his and Khushi's love. Though he had seen them before, now he felt all together new. He was happy, sad, proud, everything.

After getting showered with everyone's love, the kids saw Arnav standing at a corner. They squealed and ran to him screaming "Dada." Others looked at them shocked.

Soon everyone was throwing daggers at Arnav through their eyes, realising that it was his deed. Arnav, ignoring all that gathered his kids in his arms, and hugged them tightly. He lightly kissed their foreheads feeling their soft skin. He felt as if he had a newborn Arav and Aryan in his arms. The kids also smiled widely at him and kissed his cheeks.

NK and Lavanya saw everything confused. One the kids were calling Arnav, "Dada". Second the whole family angrily glaring at Arnav. What happened. They looked each other. But both shook their heads at each other. But nevertheless they didn't say anything not wanting to ruin the moment.

Then everyone played few games to keep the kids happy. The sang, danced and had fun. Finally it was time for cutting the birthday cake. The kids were standing in front of the cake with bright smiles. NK was shooting everything.

Khushi came forward and was about to make them cut the cake. "No Mumma, wait." They said together. They turned and looked at Arnav. "Dada, come."

Everyone was surprised at the kids. All looked at Arnav angrily who silently walked to the kids. Khushi looked at him blankly.

She turned to the kids and asked, "What happened, babies?"

"Mumma, Aru, Ashu see in TV. Mumma, Dada, babies cut cake togeth (together)." The kids said with a proud smile.

Khushi mentally face palmed. Arnav tried to hide his amusement. The others gaped at the kids.

"OK." Khushi said defeated. Her kids are too much sometimes.

Arnav couldn't control his smile. Khushi glared at him. He tried to stop his smile but the foolish grin didn't leave his lips. Others sighed.

Arnav took Arav in his arms and Khushi took Aryan in his arms. Together, they made the twins cut their birthday cake with their families happily singing the birthday song. It was a perfect picture. NK's video cam recorded everything clearly.

After distributing the cake, everyone went to dinner. Once again, the kids insisted on playing with Arnav. Unwillingly, Khushi had to agree. She fed the kids while they played with Arnav. Once again it was a beautiful scene.

Then, it was time for gifts. Everyone gifted kids different different things. Some toys, clothes, watch, etc. Nobody expected Arnav to have gifts. But surprising everyone, Arnav came with his handful of gifts for the boys.

It had almost everything, toys, stylish clothes, video games, two big schinchan stuffed toys. Then he gifted each of them a diamond pendant. The pendents had their names engraved in one side and AK engraved in other sides.

If they wouldn't have known better, everyone would have thought AK might be standing for some designer or something. But now they know it stood for Arnav-Khushi. Arnav had joined their names in those pendents.

Later that night, after the kids slept, everyone left for their homes. Nobody talked to Arnav throughout the party. He also didn't try to talk to anyone. That night, nobody slept. Everyone was thinking about the things that happened. None could believe the truth. NK and Lavanya were also told everything by Akash and Khushi respectively.
