Chapter 2
Arnav Singh Raizada was pacing in his room. The frown lines were clearly on his forehead. Every few minutes, his right hand went into his hair pulling at it. He was agitated, angry, restless, frustrated, happy, sad, confused. You can say he was feeling all the emotions in the world.
From the moment those words rolled out of her mouth he felt as if ground spilled beneath his feet. He was surprised would be an understatement. Not only him but he saw his family or rather say everyone around her gaping at her as if they have seen a ghost.
Not being able to control his feelings, he immediately left from there. He roamed around the party, trying to talk to various people, in his attempts to distract himself. But everytime he felt his thoughts going back to the conversation he had with her few minutes back.
As soon as the party ended he rushed back to his room not paying heed to anyone. From that time, he had locked himself in his room. It had been two hours, still he couldn't bring himself out of the conversation he had with her. Her words were still echoing in his ears. "He died four years back."
Four years, the last time he saw her was four years back. He still remembered that meeting with her. The most memorable meeting of his life. It was the first and the last time, he had talked with her. And he knew he will remember that meeting till the end of his life. So much had happened that day.
His life had changed after that meeting. Or you can say that his life took a new turn after that. But then his life had changed from the time she had entered in it.
Arnav Singh Raizada, the elder son of Raizada family. The Apple of his parent's eyes. He was born with silver spoon in his mouth. He was pampered, loved, cared and showered with every luxuries in his life.
Everyone respected him. Be it his siblings or outsiders. He was perfect in everything he did. His whole family was proud of him. He also loved everyone immersely especially his younger sister, Anjali.
He was always protective of her just like his other family members. The slight difference in the heights of her right and left legs was always a reason of worry for his whole family. Everyone fussed around her. He was no less. A single tear from her eyes, he used to get ready to burn the whole world.
Other than that there was never a thing to worry in his life. His life was always perfect. Loving parents, naughty yet caring siblings, amazing family, all the luxury that you would ever want in a lifetime. Everything was there. His life was going smooth.
It was to this perfect life of his, she entered as a hurricane. He was 18 year old, when he first saw her. His 10 years old new neighbor, the same age as his sister. Her parents were their neighbors from ages. She was staying in Lucknow with her maternal grandparents from the time of her birth.
But then she shifted to live with her parents when she was 10 years old. Khushi Kumari Gupta. The younger daughter of business tycoon Shashi Gupta and Garima Gupta. Younger sister of Vishal Gupta.
Though Guptas were their neighbors from a long time, both families were not much close other than usual formal wishes and greetings. On the other hand, Raizadas were very close with Shashi's sister's family. Shyam and Arnav were best friends from childhood.
Arnav was a guy who every girl drooled over right from his young age. His female following was always very good. Everyone just admired him. Why won't they? After all its very difficult to find a handsome guys that too with brains and money. A deadly combination.
But the girl who attracted the 18 year old teenager was his silent and innocent looking meek 10 year old neighbor who looked lost in her new surroundings. Something about her pulled him towards her. Was it her captivating hazelnut eyes, her cute clumsiness or her scared naive form that always looked around trying to not get herself lost in the new surroundings. He didn't know.
Her innocence and clumsiness which always seemed to irritate everyone around her, somehow pulled him towards her. He always felt a need to protect her, to save her from the world, to keep her away from all the harm. He didn't realize but a sense of possessiveness and protectiveness started taking form inside him for her.
His teenage fantasies started revolving around her. He wanted to be her Prince Charming, her Knight in shining armor. He didn't realize when he started having feelings for his little neighbor to whom he hadn't even talked for once.
He couldn't understand his feelings for her. Was it love or just an infatuation. And most importantly was it right to love or have any such feelings for his 10 year old neighbor. For a child. That thought made him feel disgusted of himself. How could he feel something like that to a child. He was 18 year old but she was still just a child. A mere 10 year old who didn't even understand the meaning of love.
When that realization dawned on him, he realized his blunder. He didn't know what to do. He felt his own feelings wrong. He wanted to forget her. He wanted to forget his feelings for her. And he decided to go away from her. He wasn't ready to accept his feelings. He named his feelings as infatuation or you can say he made himself believe so. He thought once he goes away, he will forget her. His feelings will fade away. She will go away from his memories.
And he got his chance to go away. His admission in Harwards came as a way. As soon as he got his admission, he packed his bags and ran away to America, away from her. Away from her presence. To forget her. To get out of her memories. But was it so easy. No. Even if he went away. Her memories and his feelings never left him. They were always inside him.
5 years. 5 years he spend in Harwards in the name of studying. To forget her. To come out of his feelings for her. But nothing happened. Neither did her memories fade away nor his feelings. On the other hand, his feelings grew stronger that his own theory of infatuation felt wrong. Felt childish. The feeling of love overpowered everything.
Every moment her memories invaded his heart and mind. His soul searched for its other part. His heart earned for her presence, her love. His mind started making plans of a future with her. Each second away from her started becoming difficult for even breath.
After completing his graduation in Harwards, he had started his own business in America and reached heights in very short period. He met new people. Beautiful women surrounded him. But in each face, he saw only her face. In every woman, his heart only searched for her.
Finally after a long fight with his heart he gave up. He came back to India after five years. To see her. To confess his feelings to her. To make her his. He knew she was still young. Young to understand his love and passion for her and he was ready to wait. Wait even an eternity for her.
But the separation was becoming unbearable for him. He wanted to see her. He wanted her atleast in front of him. Not seven seas away. He wanted her presence in his life. So he came back. For her.
But the girl for whom he came back was nowhere to be found. There wasn't that innocent, shy, naive, cute and pure 10 year old girl with whom he fell in love with. But in her place was someone else with same name and identity. But an entirely different girl. A girl who was nowhere near to the girl he fell in love with.
A girl who was rude, arrogant and completely spoilt rich brat. There was no trace of the young girl who wore Lucknowi salwars and Anarkalis. But was a girl who wore leather jackets, torn jeans, metal jewellery etc. A complete tomboy. The innocent soft-spoken girl was lost but a girl whose sharp words cut through your hearts stood at her place.
Arnav was shocked seeing his Khushi after five years, would be an understatement. He couldn't even describe his feelings. Where did his innocent girl go. Where the hell is his clumsy, naive and down to earth Love. Who the hell is this girl who had taken her place.
Arnav couldn't digest the change in the girl he loved. But nevertheless his love didn't fade away. He still loved her. Slowly he also started to love this new Khushi also. Yes her antics sometimes irritated him but he still loved her.
Will passing time, he was completely head over heels in love with her. He admired her. He was possessive and protective of her. He secretly started looking out for her. Slowly she had become an integral part of his life.
He used to stalk her. Used to accompany her from far at nights and to various places when she used to go for her adventures to safeguard her. He daily started getting up at five in the morning just to go to jogging with her when usually he never used to get up before seven.
He even started going to pubs and night clubs in disguise just to see her and make sure she is fine. Even though he never came in front of her, he was always there with her to protect her.
In all this three years passed. Finally she was eighteen. Finally it was time for him to approach her. To confess his feelings to her. To make her his. After his wait of eight years, finally he decided to express his feelings.
He was planning on how to approach her. How to propose her. It was the most important moment in their life and he wanted it to be special. He didn't want to scare her away with his eagerness. Well he seriously doubted if she would be scared as she was far from anyone who would be scared if a guy proposed her but he didn't want to ruin everything due to his eagerness.
So he was planning everything with caution. How to approach her. How to start a relation with her. Maybe first friendship. Then he can take the things forward. He was thinking all these things. He was finding a situation by which he can approach her.
While he was planning all these, suddenly he had to go to Singapore for a couple of weeks for his business purpose. He cursed his work for ruining his plan. He went for two weeks. He was in a hurry to finish his work. Finally after two weeks, he came back.
He was planning to meet her. He decided to talk to her next morning when both will go for jogging. He will start with a formal conversation, then slowly will become her friend. It was his plan.
He was damn excited for his plan. He bought a new track suit to impress her. He was very happy thinking about his plan. He came home with high enthusiasm that day. He felt like a love stuck teenager. But he didn't mind. Everything was perfect. His plan was perfect. Soon he will meet her, become her friend, then confess his love, propose her, get married to her and live happily with her. Everything was as he had planned. His whole life was set.
It's said that we should be careful when we get happiness beyond limit. Because happiness beyond limit is never good.
That day, he was sitting in his study dreaming about a happy future with Khushi. A small smile was playing on his lips. But startling him, suddenly the door to his study opened. Meera stood there with pale and horrified face. Seeing her like that, he was shocked and worried.
"Arnavji... Arnavji..." Meera ran towards him. Arnav was confused seeing her state. He stood up and came near her.
"Meera, what happened? Why are you like this? You look scared." Arnav asked calmly.
"Arnavji... come fast. Woh. Woh. Anjali... She..." Meera said panting. Hearing Anjali's name, Arnav's eyes widened.
"Anju. What happened to Anju. Tell me Meera. What happened to Anju?" Arnav said panicking.
"Woh... Woh... Anjali... Arnavji... Please come fast. Save her. She... She is trying to.." But before she could finish, Arnav ran to Anjali's room. Meera ran behind him.
Reaching there, Arnav saw the room locked from inside. He tried to open the door but in vain. Meanwhile Meera reached there. Seeing her, he turned to her and asked her while trying to open the door, "Meera, what's all this? What's happening?"
"Arnavji, woh Anjali... She's trying to kill herself. So she had locked the room from inside. Arnavji, please open the door. Save her, Arnavji." Meera said crying.
Arnav was shocked hearing that his sister is trying to commit suicide. What the hell. Why would his baby sister try to commit suicide. What happened like that that she had decided to take such a drastic step. A thousand questions were running in his mind. But keeping all that aside, first he had to save her. He had to save his baby sister.
Once that thought entered his mind, he started hitting on the door to break it. After sometime, the door broke from its hinges. Arnav entered inside the room followed by Meera, only to stand rooted to his place seeing his sister with a knife near her wrist.
He immediately rushed to her and pulled the knife away from her. Anjali tried to reach past him to get the knife. Soon a struggle to get the knife was happening between the brother and sister. Seeing the situation, Meera came forward and pulled Anjali away from Arnav. Arnav gave a thankful smile to her and went out of the room to keep the knife away.
Coming back, he saw his sister crying loudly in Meera's arms. Seeing her like that, his heart clenched in pain. His baby sister whom he had protected from every harm since childhood had tried to take her life. He felt someone had stabbed on his heart.
But one thing he was not understanding was that why did she took this step. What had happened that she went to this extreme step of taking her life. She was all fine till few days back when he saw her. What had happened in these few days that she want to die.
He felt suffocated thinking that if he was a few minutes late then he could have lost his sister. He felt his heart constricting at the thought. Seeing her crying face, Arnav felt like someone had poured acid on his body. Why? Why did she do this?
Not being able to take it anymore, he reached near her to get answers for his questions. "Anju..." Arnav called her softly.
Anjali looked at him with teary eyes and once again burst out crying hiding her face in her hands.
Sitting beside her, Arnav gently took her in his embrace and soothingly caressed her hairs. " Anju, Bacha, Why did you do this? Why did you take this step? Did you think about us? About Me. Ma. Papa. Everyone. What we will do if something happens to you? Why? Anju. What had happened like that that you took this step? Tell me." Arnav asked feeling his own eyes filling up with salty water.
"Bhai, I... I am sorry, Bhai." Anjali hiccuped.
"Anju, why? Why you did this?"
"Bhai, I.. I can't... I can't live, Bhai. It suffocates me, Bhai. After what happened. I can't Bhai. It haunts me. Whenever I close my eyes. All that comes in front of me, Bhai. I feel impure. I feel useless. I feel like dying, Bhai." Anjali wailed.
Hearing all these, Arnav hugged her tightly. "Anju, what happened? Please tell me."
"Bhai, woh... Woh..." She chocked.
Seeing her not in a state to explain anything, Arnav turned to Meera who was silently standing beside. "Meera, atleast you tell me what happened?"
"Arnavji, woh..." Meera stammered.
"Someone will tell me or not." Arnav was loosing his patience. His sister had tried to take her life. Here nobody is ready to tell him the reason.
Meera looked at Arnav silently. She could understand his patience was at its limit. She decided to tell him everything. Taking a deep breath, she turned to Arnav and called him. "Arnavji.."
Arnav looked at her while Anjali continued to sob in his arms.
"Arnavji, Last weekend we both went to watch movie in theatre. During recess, Anjali went to washroom to freshen up. There... there someone misbehaved with her and molested her. They tried to ra.. rape her. But I reached there on time and they ran away." Meera said slowly.
The room filled with silence for few minutes. "What the hell." Arnav roared. "All these happened and you guys didn't inform anybody."
"Arnavji, woh.. we didn't know what to do. I tried to tell Aunty. But Anjali stopped me. She was so scared after that incident. She felt that if we say anything to anybody, then those guys will again do something to her. I tried to make her understand many times but she didn't budge. I was so confused what to do. Finally today I decided to tell everything to Aunty but when I came here, I saw that everyone had gone out. And then Anjali tried to do all these. I didn't know what to do. So I came to you." Meera said apologetically.
Arnav slowly nodded his head and looked at Anjali who was crying silently clutching him. He slowly patted her head. "Do you guys know who those guys were who did it." Arnav asked clenching his fist.
"No Bhai, there were three boys and two girls. We didn't see their faces as they were wearing masks." Anjali said slowly.
"But..." Meera started saying something but stopped looking at Anjali who shook her head. She sighed silently and nodded. This was not unnoticed by Arnav. But he kept silent deciding to ask Meera later.
Arnav sat there holding Anjali in his arms who silently sobbed. Few minutes later, when her crying subsided, he gently laid her down on the bed. Asking Meera to take care of her, he left the room.
He was frustrated and angry. So much happened with his sister and he couldn't do anything. He still felt a chill running down his spine thinking if he was a few minutes late then he would have lost his sister.
He started pacing in the living room thinking about all that Meera and Anjali said. He didn't wanted anything but to find the person who had done such a disgusting act with his sister and punish them.
Sometime later, Arnav saw Meera coming out of Anjali's room. He immediately reached in front of her.
"How is she now? Is she alright?" He asked concerned about the well being of his sister.
"Yes, Arnavji. She is alright now. Resting." Meera said slowly.
"Hmm." Arnav said lost in his thoughts. He was relieved that his sister was fine. Seeing him deep in thought, Meera started leaving but Arnav stopped her calling her name.
"Meera" Meera turned around and looked at him waiting for him to continue.
"Meera, while we were inside, you were about to say something but you stopped looking at Anjali. What's it?" Arnav straight away came to the point not beating around the bush.
Meera's eyes widened hearing the question. She was lost in thinking. Seeing her lost in thoughts, Arnav felt suspicious.
"What's it, Meera. Do you have anything to say? Do you know anything about the people who did that? Don't worry nothing will happen to you?" Arnav said thinking that she is afraid of answering fearing that something would happen to her.
"No, no, Arnavji. There is nothing like that." Meera said immediately.
"Then what's it, Meera." Arnav was loosing his patience. First such a big thing happened with his sister and they didn't tell anyone and now again they are hiding something.
"Arnavji, actually woh... woh..." Meera stammered.
"What's it, Meera. If you know something, just tell. And don't worry no harm will reach you or Anjali. Just tell me the truth, rest I will handle." Arnav tried to stay calm.
" Arnavji, I.." Meera once again lost in her thoughts.
"What's it, Meera?" Arnav was on the verge of snapping at her.
"Arnavji, I... I think I know who did it?" She said slowly.
"What??? Who?? Tell me. Do you know them. Who are they? What's their names. Tell me. Tell me dammit." Arnav shouted.
Meera flinched hearing his shout. "Arnavji, I think it's... it's Khushi."
Hearing the name, Arnav was stunned. He felt his heart stop beating. No it can't be. She can't do it. No. No. No. It's not her. Yeah. It's not her. It may be some other Khushi. Yeah. It's someone else. His Khushi can't do that. No. No. No. His heart chanted it to be false. That it's some other Khushi.
"Which Khushi." He asked trying to keep his voice steady but still failing miserably.
"Khushi. Khushi Kumari Gupta. Your neighbor." Meera said.
Arnav felt his heart dropping to his stomach. No. It can't be. She can't do it. No. He wanted to scream. He wanted to tell her that it wasn't his Khushi. His Khushi can't do it. But no words came out of his mouth.
He stood rooted to his place. Meera was looking down otherwise she would seen his face going pale and horror struck. When he remained silent, she continued not understanding the impact her words were causing on him.
"Arnavji, I think Khushi and her gang of friends were the ones who did it. When we went for movie, they were also there. We saw them while buying tickets. During recess also, I saw them going out of the theatre. Also the people who attacked Anjali wore dresses similar to what Khushi and her friends wear. We don't remember the exact dress they wore that day but I think it was similar. Also after the incident, we didn't see them also. They were nowhere to be found in the theater." Meera said thoughtfully.
Hearing no reply from Arnav, she continued, "You know Arnavji, Khushi and her gang always trouble students in college especially Anjali. You know because of her li.. limp they always make fun of her. They always play pranks on students and teachers. Also most of the times, you can see them ragging one or other student. They are completely spoilt rich brats. I won't be surprised if we find out that they were behind Anjali's this condition. They can do anything, Arnavji. I think Khushi is the one who had planned all this. They were there when we were making plans for movie while sitting in the canteen. I think they came to the theater to hurt Anjali. I don't know Arnavji why they always pick on Anjali and do one or other things to hurt her. See now what happened. And that Khushi I don't know what problem she has with Khushi that she always hurt her and keep saying that Anjali is always dependent on someone." Meera said with hatred in her voice.
She was thinking about Khushi and was cursing her. But she didn't noticed Arnav who looked as if someone had cut his heart into a million pieces. Meera came out of her thoughts and looked at Arnav. Seeing him lost in his thoughts, she left from there and went to kitchen for making juice for Anjali.
Arnav was numb hearing everything from Meera. Khushi. His Khushi. The girl whom he loved with his everything was hurting his sister all this while. No. It can't be. His Khushi can't do that. She is innocent. But then why will Meera lie.
He knew that Khushi had changed in the past few years. But had she changed so much that she could hurt someone deliberately. That too his sister. Is she so bad. So cruel. No. He can't imagine that. But then Meera's words about her.
Arnav felt suffocated. The girl he loved. Can she really do all these. Was he wrong in understanding her. Did he make a mistake while judging her. Has she changed so much. Or is it her real self. It was not like he had known her personally. So all that he thought about her, her innocence, her naivety, everything was fake. Was she this cunning and ruthless from starting itself.
Did he turned a blind eye to her reality. Was he so much blinded by his love for her that he didn't realize her real self. No. No. No. This can't be happening.
No. He wanted to scream. He wanted to tell the whole world that she is not wrong. But then whatever Meera said, he can't ignore that. Why would Meera lie. What will she get by lieing about Khushi like this. Arnav questioned himself.
He didn't know Meera well but he had known her more than he had known Khushi. He had seen and interacted with Meera since childhood due to her friendship with Anjali. But with Khushi he had seen, loved her from far but had never really got a chance to get to know her.
He had heard his best friend Shyam and the people in their social circle complain about her wayward behaviour. But he had always shrugged it off thinking it to her childishness. But is there more to it. Is she really that cunning and cruel to do something like this to another girl.
But then he didn't had any proof to prove her right. Everytime he had only heard about the ruckus and problems she and her gang of friends created. Also if whatever Meera was saying was true, then that means she was... at fault.
Once that thought entered his mind, he felt anger, disappointment and hatred coursing through him. How could she do this. To his baby sister. To his Anjali. No. If she thought she can get away after hurting his sister, then she had another thing coming.
Arnav Singh Raizada felt anger and hatred filling up in him for the one woman he had claimed to love. He felt disgusted and disappointed with her. How the hell could she do such a despicable act with his sister. No. He is not going to leave her for what she did. She had to get punishment for what she did.
She had to pay the price of his sister's tears. She had to get punishment for the situation in which she had put his sister in. Today because of her, he was going to loose his sister and she had to get punishment for this.
Arnav was feeling hatred and anger filling in his body. He just wanted to punish the person responsible for his sister's miserable state. In his thirst for revenge he had forgotten that the girl who he wanted to punish was his own life. His Love.
He was thinking about what to do. But breaking his thoughts, his cellphone rang. Looking at the unknown number, a frown appeared on his face. He was not in mood to entertain any stranger. He was about to cut the call but something inside him stopped him. Swiping on the accept button, he pressed the phone to his ear.
But the voice from the other side surely baffled him. He felt numb hearing that. If it would have been a couple hours before, he would have rejoiced hearing the voice. But then now he felt nothing.
The voice which he loved now felt suffocating. She was continuously saying "Hello... Hello". But he couldn't bring himself to answer. Khushi continued to say "Hello hello". While he was lost in his thoughts.
When he felt she was about to cut the call, he answered with a meek "Hello". He didn't know how to react. It was the first time they were talking. He didn't know how she got his number and why she was calling him but he kept silence allowing her to talk.
But what she said surely confused and baffled him once again. After saying what she wanted or rather demanding what she wanted she cut the call. He stood at his place not knowing what to do. Later he decided to oblige to her demand.
Arnav came out of his past hearing a knock on his door. He opened his door and saw his Mom standing there. Seeing him in the same attire that he wore for the engagement party, Ratna frowned.
She entered inside the room. "Chote, what are you doing this late at night. You haven't even changed your dress. You haven't even freshened up." Ratna asked looking at his lost behavior.
"Mom, woh... It was nothing. I just had some work. I was doing that and didn't realize the time. I was just going to change and sleep. But why are you up this late?" Arnav said trying to cover up.
"I just came to take water from Kitchen." Showing the water jug on her hand. "OK then, you change and sleep. It's already late. Tomorrow you have to go to office also. Good Night." Ratna said lovingly.
"Good Night, Mom." Arnav said with a small smile.
Nodding, Ratna left the room. Arnav closed the door and sighed. Taking a deep breath, he shook his head. Trying to forget the disturbing thoughts, he went to take a long relaxing bath.
***************
Next day morning
Arnav came down after getting ready. Entering in the living room, he saw Shyam sitting there.
"Hey man, you came here morning itself. Can't wait even few days to meet my sister, huh." Arnav asked teasingly.
"What yaar. Atleast you don't pull my legs." Shyam said embarrassed.
"Just joking, Man. So how's your work going."
"Great. Even I came here for work purpose only. Uncle said that he needed some help regarding some issues related to a plot."
"Oh, OK."
"You know me and Anjali were planning to go for a outing this weekend with Khushi, kids and others. Why don't you join us."
Hearing Khushi's name, Arnav felt emotions running through him. First love, then disappointment, then anger, then sadness. Shyam who was checking something in his phone didn't noticed the change of emotions on the face of his best friend.
Talking a deep breath and composing himself, Arnav said, " No yaar, I can't come. I have some work."
"Come on yaar, atleast try. Maybe you can make some arrangements. Trust me, it will be worth it. We will have lots of fun. Khushi, kids, Lavanya, NK, Akash, Payal, Anju and Me, everyone will be there. If you will also come, all us youngsters will together have a blast. You don't know how much fun we used to have in these outings. Only you and NK would be missing. Now even NK is coming, you also come na, yaar. It will be so much fun." Shyam said trying to convince.
"No, yaar. Seriously. I can't come. I really have some important work." Arnav said trying to end the conversation.
"OK then, as you wish." Shyam said giving up.
Just then Arnav's phone rang. He took it from the pocket and started talking.
Phone Conversation
Arnav: Yeah, Aman. Tell me.
Aman: ....
Arnav (shouting): What??? You still didn't get a event manager for the fashion show. Are you mad. The fashion show hardly has a month left and you are telling me that you couldn't find any event management company to organize the show. You idiot, stupid, useless.
Aman: ....
Arnav: What the hell do you mean by you are trying? Then when are you planning to find a event manager, on the day of the show? You idiot. I don't know anything. I want to meet the event manager, the first thing tomorrow morning. Go and find a good event manager. And listen, the event manager should be up to mark. I don't want any small and useless firm to organize my show. Everything should be perfect. Otherwise you can kiss your job good bye and sit at home. Understood.
Aman: ....
Arnav: OK
Phone Conversation ends
Shyam who was listening to the conversation, asked curiously, " What happened, yaar. Why are you so worked up."
"Nothing, yaar. It's just that there is a fashion show next month. And this useless Aman, he hadn't still found a event manager to organize the event. I don't know what to do with such useless and irresponsible employees." Arnav said rubbing his forehead.
"Relax, yaar. It's OK." Thinking something. "Hey, I think I know a person who could organise the event for you. They work in some other place but they have a branch here. Let me try. If it works, then I will make you meet the event manager soon."
"Thanks yaar. If it happens, then a big problem will be solved." Arnav said thankfully.
"No mention, yaar." Shyam said smiling.
Arnav nodded. "Come, let's have breakfast."
Shyam smiled and stood up. Both went to dining hall, where all others are sitting to have breakfast.
